Jamison: How would you be a hinderence? You're much more skilled with a blade, you have the knowledge of magic to help him with pretty much any problem, you're trustworthy, he hopes, and you're not too hard on the eyes, either. You know, he holds the advice you give him higher than the guidance of Farind. That's quite an achievement, seeing as how it's Kibo we're talking about.

"Hm. Inertesting development."
Storm stored this new information away in her mind.
"Hinderences do not always have to be cravens with no talents."

Jamison: He was quite messed up after that whole Charon incident at your bar. I hadn't seen him act that way since his wife died.
He eyes widened, and he covered his mouth.
Jamison: I shouldn't have said that.

Storm shrugged.
"I already knew that. Well, not that he was that messed up, before, but that his wife died. That's the main reason why I let him have Mary Cathrine back and Charon Claw to boot."

Jamison: Okay. Kibo just doesn't like to broadcast she was his wife.

"I figured as much. So I did it for him. After all, what are friends for?"
Storm blinked innocently.

Storm opened her mouth to respond to that, but just then the servant came back in, weilding two plates of steak. She set one down at each end of the table and left once more. Strom crossed the cabin and sat at hte table, finally. She took another mouthful of wine before actually voicing whatever it was she was going to say.
"As I was trying to say, pretty words but unlikly. Kibo is not that kind of fellow. He, like I, doesn't like to rely on another and trusting one would certainly be a form of that."

Jamison: Exactly. Despite all the "tough guy loner" act he puts on, he loves company. He hates to be alone. However, he also doesn't like to not have control over everything around him. He longs for independent, strong-willed people, but as the same time, is terrified by them. See his dilemma?

"Not wise, merely world weary."
Storm paused, hearing a knock, a bit of steak half-way to her mouth. She sighed, wishing she could just eat in peace. She let her hand fall again and stood.
"Excuse me a moment."
Storm opened the door, forcing a smile onto her face.
"Hello? May I help you?"
