He nodded at her. "Yep. Not sure what they call them." He said as he turned his head towards her. They were almost there, he could see the trees that gave off the shade to keep the water nice and cool. He could smell the water as well. "See? We are almost there." He said with a smile to the female and started to run towards it. His bobbed tail wagged as he did a sort of hop/gallop towards it.

Whatching him speed ahead Keerty blinked and then shrugged before increasing her pace to try and catch up with Tawny. "Geesh you run fast!" Making sure to lay her wings firmly along her back, the splochy female made herself more airodinamic. After a few moments of lagging behind, she finally was able to catch up.

Tawny slowed down as he heard her say he was going to fast. Well, of course he was getting over heated and needed the water, but one must never leave a lady behind. "Sorry! My apologies!" He said as he went back to a walk and turned his head towards her as she caught up to him. "Sometimes I can get ahead of myself." He said

"Hehe! And apearently I get ahead of you too!" Speeding past him with a grin on her face, Keerty made her way down the slope that lead down to the pool of water. As she ran down the small hill a small breeze picked up for a moment ruffling her fur and cooling her down slightly. As she approached the water she could see the ring of trees surrounding and spreading their shade around the edges of the pool...

"I see how it is!" He laughed as he ran after her. Though not going too fast since he didn't want to fall. It didn't feel to nice when falling, and he didn't have wings to stop him from doing that. He followed her down the slope towards the water, and instead of stopping at the water edge, he just ran straight into it.
The cold icy blue water felt nice on this warm day. "Wee!" he said and then looked back at her. "Hurry up! The water's great!" He said as he started paddling around to the deeper part of the water.

Backing up a few steps, Keerty ran forward and launched herself into the pool of water. Staying under the water for a few seconds she surfaced with a sigh as the cold water felt refreshing against her warm body. Before making her way out to the middle of the lake, Keerty let herself sink under the water once more. It only took the female Ulaya a few moments to swim out to the middle of the pool.

Tawny made his way slowly towards the female who was now in the middle. She swam pretty fast. Though, he guessed it was because of her wings? He wasn't sure, nor was he about to ask. "See, this was a good idea." He said as he finally got to where he was. He made sure when he talked water wouldn't go into his mouth*

"You're right, it was worth the running it took to get here. I'm much cooler than I was before." Paddling the water to keep her in one place, Keerty shook her head hard to get rid of the water that was dripping from her bangs. Flicking her paw on the top of the water, she sent a small splash of water at Tawny. "Hehe."

Tawny chuckled as the other splashed water at him. "hey" He said playfully as he flicked some water at her as he paddled around her. The water was rather deep, so he had to keep moving or he would sink.

Striking out with her right paw, Keerty swam away from Tawny as soon as there was a break in the circle. Laughing, she glided through the water smoothly as she ducked under the water and spun around before breaching the surface. Turning around to face the now distant male, Keerty playfully blew a raspberry at him and stuck out her tongue.

Tawny started to get tired from swimming, so he started to head to the shallower parts of the huge puddle as he called. Slowly, but surely he made his way. Though, with each passing minute he would slowly sink a little as he went. He wasn't a strong swimmer at all. The water was almost above his nose before he actually made it to where he could touch the ground.
As he did he stepped a few feet before stopping and looking at the other with a smile.

Unlike her new friend, Keerty was a strong swimmer and wasn't very tired by the time Tawny had begun to head in. Treading water until he reached the shallows, she struck out once more and headed toward him. A few seconds past before Keerty was able to clearly see the bottom of the large puddle, and it was a minute or so before she was able to touch the ground. Drawing up beside the orange male she spoke to him, "You ok there?"

"Yeah! I'm great!" He said with a smile. "My legs jut aren't use to swimming!" He said wagging his tail making water spring up behind him because of it. "Oh! Sorry!" he said as he tried to stop his tail from moving. It was alot harder then one would think. He chuckled to himself.

"It takes a while to build up leg muscle! But I'm glad you're ok!" Grinning she sat down in the shallow water before turning to her friend, only to be greeted with a sprinkling of water. Sneezing as a drop of water went up her nose, Keerty responded. "Its fine!"

He finally got his tail under control as he smiled at her. "Are you cool enough for a walk? Or shall swimming still be what we do?" He asked as he took a few more steps out into the deeper part of the water. He didn't go where he couldn't keep at least two paws on the ground.
