Celena looks up from the cubs she was trying to corral under control as the distinct howl of her clan fills the clearing, coming from deeper withing the forest. Several other members of the pack glance around as if they knew exactly what was going on. Something did seem to be going on after all. Her curiosity peaked Celena moves away from the cubs. Behave! She tells them before slipping back into the cover of the trees.

She knew it wasn't very wise to be heading in the direction she was going but that didn't seem to stop her. She moves quietly through the forest her slight form giving her an advantage to remain silent in the underbrush. She moves through the trees and debris her senses leading her through the darkness around her. The trees are thick and clumped together to become tangle towers of limbs. The debris and underbrush on the forest floor is no better as broken limbs and other things litter to practically coat the forest floor. She didn't recall having ever gone this deep into the forest before, probably because there was someone usually close on her heels to bring her back.

Tonight that didn't seem to be the case, which meant there was surely something going on. Speaking of that, why hadn't their leader come out when the hunting party had returned. She notices the trees ahead of her beginning to thin out which mean she was nearing a clearing in the forest. She stops, frozen her senses picking up the presences of her clan ahead of her. She found them, it seems, but did she dare move any closer. Pushing past the twist of fear at getting caught she slowly edges closer to clearing, remaining close to the ground to keep out of sight. Of course being out of sight was only going to be helpful if they were busy enough not to sniff around.

As she draws closer her pale eyes penetrate the darkness allowing her to see the group of Wolfen in the clearing, the leader of their clan with them. So that's why he wasn't there to greet the hunting party, she silently notes to herself. She recognizes the rest as the group of warriors, a group always seeming to be battling for the job of leader. Realizing who she was trying to spy on Celena felt a stab of intense fear in her chest. If Vischer or any of them catch her, she would surely be in far greater trouble than she ever would have been in for going out with the hunting party. What ever was going on, was not meant for the whole clan to know yet.

[Profile coming soon for this guy... xD]

With the treaty at hand, declaring Liebeis and Crucia allies so they could not continue their slaughter between night and day, the kingdom, during sweet sleeping hours... was split. During the day, while the vampires would sleep or roam in the shadows, the very King of Crucia would rule. But at night, the Vampire King himself declared safety upon the city. To feed they would be granted sacrificial animals, or humans themselves would throw their souls away to become one of the damned. Crucia was endangered to all vampires; but at least, during the night, all was kept safe from everything else that rested in the world. It was the whole point of the groups of vampires that were scattered throughout the enormous city. But what came to the king's ears tonight was nothing too satisfying, only... irritating.

Ever since his very own son, who he had hunted and made into a vampire to declare his own brethren, had betray him by killing the king of Crucia's daughter... ugh! he couldn't even think about it! Medium-sized claws with fairly sharp ends rapped the arm of a velvet-coated throne chair. It was the king of crucia's, where he sat during the day with the matters of his own race. But since the vampire king was a king of his own, in secrecy, he declared it his in the middle of the night. In the large audience chamber, few candles were lit along the stones walls between draperies of fanciful stories. But he paid no attention to them. The king's eyes were a pure black, with no shade of crimson or red; he had fed upon goats just earlier, and his hunger was satisfied. But why his eyes were so irritated, so annoyed, his pale face and jaw contorted in anger was saved for the audience before him.

It was a group of vampires, one of the guards that took place near the walls and buildings that lead to the farmlands. he knew them all, of course; like he knew everyone in his clan. Even the ones who betray him for his traitorous son, he knew them all too well... these he put together because they were brutes, young and vicious vampires that thirsted now for the blood of Brin upon their claws. And here they were, declaring they had seen members of Brin, in the city, and had simply let them slip away. Their pathetic explanation was that a simple strategy had failed; but the king knew better. Oh yes... King Lefon knew everything that went on through their actions... from their own superstitious ways of how they wanted do things on their own to right before on the altar where his son declared defiance and killed the daughter of crucia. Liefon didn't understand why they would ever dare give him such an explanation.

"Why didn't you go after them?" Liefon asked lazilly, eyeing the vampires with curiosity. They could tell his was tense, his shoulders almost shaking with anger. His long, silky black hair flowed around his barely still body upon the chair, his torso leaned only slightly forward. The vampires stopped dead in their mumbling, crimson, hungry eyes stricken in place. He waited impatiently for their reply, the rapping on the chair becoming louder. Finally, one stepped forward; Liefon even started to see scratch marks in the velvet. The Crucian King would probably notice.

The vampire stood strong before his king, "Lord Liefon. They will be back. We'll be waiting for them, and have more guard upon them. Please have faith in us." but haanel wasn't understanding anything. if they acted on their own, if they chose to decide things without leadership... the clan would break apart. It was why he knew brin would fail, because his son thought so differently by separating himself. He simply shook his head, so very lightly, trying not to jump up and order them away while shouting.

"We are not one if we choose to act on our own. Stick to your duty, brothers. Do not defy us." They looked very disappointed at Liefon's orders. But nonetheless, they bowed their heads, turned on their heals and left silently from the throne room and to the silent halls of the humans. Liefon finally laid back in his seat, finally enjoying the quiet while thoughts burned through him.

Every single member gave their words and thoughts about their line of action, offering their strength for whatever may be needed. Vischer paced back and forth listening to each one, drawing up his plan. Already he leaked out the initial ideas to them, now it was merely time to choose who would be suited for what job. This was a bit tougher than he had once thought. All of them seemed strong, fierce, and even experienced, however he knew a few would be reckless so he tried to organize them so that their weakness would become the greatest strength they could use. Vash was just one of those, he was a die hard, eagerly awaiting death, but wanting to kill every single thing he could before it. Where as Sulvan was the more thinker of the group, his actions paused for but a second before leashing out his plans. It was that reason he had the slash mark across his neck, had he not stopped to think, he would still have his suave voice. Those two paired together seemed like a great idea.

"Sulvan, Vash, you shall take point. Once we give the alarm to howl, you two will start causing terror in the town in your wolfen form." His face smiled, yes both of them would love to get a bit messy in their true form,"Remember though, let none of them escape through the side streets. The left will be blocked off as we planned, so focus on the north and east entrances."

"Yes Vischer." They responded in unison, and were about to head out, after all the point had to be already in the city, so they could not be grouped with the rest of the lot. However Vischer waved his hand for them to stop.

"Remember, our mission here is to kill ever single one of them there, leave none of them un-slain, however take none as rewards." Perhaps his words would seem odd to most of them, after all if they kill 200 people, that would supply the clan for weeks, however there was a reason behind his words, and he decided to enlighten them. "We shall let their bodies rot there to show our devastating force, blood and bodies everywhere a gruesome state. Perhaps they'll build a grave there or some kind of shrine, but to us, it shall be our greatest victory, and it alone is our prize. Because of this every body should mount on top of the other, and none of us shall be among them. No! We will not give them that satisfaction, show them how that we have any weakness." He eyed Vash, "No martyrs tonight, for we will show them that they should fear us, the wolfen of the night who do not die, but bring it upon others!"

"Ho-Ah"

"Eventually they will attack us back with hatred, but hatred leads to rash decision, they will be easy prey especially those who show fear of us. Down the road, they may kill us, but our legends will still grow. And even if everyone shall be slain, they will still speak of us in myths through the centuries, through the eons, never ridding of the horrors we shall bring to them. We shall rule nightmares, and forever reign as their masters!"

"Ho-ah!"

"So go forth brethren, and make this be a night we remember!"

"Ho-Ah!" Both Vash and Sulvan now fully pumped with energy took off towards Curcia, while the others turned towards Vischer awaiting their commands.

He took a deep breath enjoying the ever mounting energy, and yet something caught his attention, a sent... yes it was... His eyes pierced through the darkness, and they flung to Celena. At first he was about to yell at her in pure rage, but drew back as realized the meaning behind it. She too, when in age, will speak of these men here and the battle about to take place. For that he merely smirked at her, letting her know he knew she was there, and before she could respond in any shape or form, he moved his attention back to the rest of the squad.

"The search and destroy party shall be Rimscar who shall be in charge, and you three" he pointed at some of the more well seasoned soldiers. Rimscar could be well trusted and with three fine soldiers behind him, they would move efficiently with the most important task "Remember, at first people might look out their windows in curiosity to the screams below, memorize where they are, and save them for last. Instead sniff out those that are hiding and rid them. If we do not have enough time to kill them all, those who saw us will be the ones who will spread our lineage."

Everything seemed to be shaping quite nicely now, and the three that remained new what that meant, they were partnered with the leader himself. All three had challenged him at a point in time, and they had power beyond might, they would be their strong defenders destroying any soldier who showed their face. Yes they were the right choice for this job, "You last three are with me," he smiled, "May the blood run freely across all our teeth and claw, and our victory be great!"

"Ho-ah!"

With his little planning all figured out, they were now ready to march to the gates, where they would wait for his command to attack. It seemed tonight was brimming with energy, and their victory will be grand indeed. The victory itself seemed like it was all Vischer could think of, but there was another thing that kept creeping across his mind. Celena, he wondered how if she was going to pose any problems. Perhaps he should of spoken to her, but no, instead he would trust her to stay behind. If she got involved he would have to protect her personally for his folly.

He had once already crossed the farmlands from Crucia. But, with all the many houses, the fields and their animals, with no stone walls an locks to protect them, the farmlands were only welcoming to such opportunity. The vampires of Brin could not go forth in their power if they were not full of such strength. Horm couldn't even contemplate how the smaller groups of vampires couldn't find any food. Were they afraid of something? What was there to be afraid of in the night? It made no sense. He and the three other vampires strode through the trees, dark eyes staring forward as the open land came before them, the trees breaking into smaller areas and outspreading with it. They could all see the figures out houses in the distance, the stables and barns that housed animals and supplies. Laughter danced in their eyes, satisfaction in their unbeaten hearts.

As quick as the gentle wind, the four moved in simultaneous pace, careful not to make a sound as they crossed ground close to two times faster than humans. Ahead, there was a small house. No lights were crossed in the dead of night, their curtains pulled shut over small windows. They obviously thought that was safe enough... with how the Brin hunted humans in the farmlands the most, it was odd behavior; Horm, smirking to himself at the thought, would've thought they would nail metal to the outlining of them. But that's why humans were the best pick; because they didn't know how to survive, didn't know how to keep safe. They were so... vulnerable.

They all stopped very suddenly from the house, eyeing it with precious care as if it were gold to a vampire. The only female took a step back, deciding the males to go in after the three humans that rested inside. Horm smiled thinly across his lips and strode forth towards the door. he grabbed the knob and it was locked in his grasp. To be expected. But simple enough, he pulled out a pin from his blouse, stuck it into the keyhole and almost instantly the door began to creak open on rusted hinges. His three companions smiled at him with their toothy grins, and Horm immediately ducked inside.

It was dark, of course; dust lingered in the air along with a dirty floor that needed to be swept. Close, in rooms to the left, he could hear the snoring of a man with the contorted moans of his wife as she tried to sleep peacefully. To his right, in a much smaller room, was the quiet breathing a teenage boy. The male vampires followed him in. Horm grabbed one of their shoulders and directed them to the boys room. He and the long-haired companion he had been with all night quietly edged into the adults room. Horm's eyes flared with hunger as he caught sight of the humans through faint moonlight that tried to seep through the curtains. He didn't care about anything else right now. He stepped forward, when suddenly the eyes of the wife shot open in fright.

But the other vampire was already upon her, hitting the woman's head so she knocked back out immediately with a yelp. The man woke up suddenly, saying his wife's name distantly from a dazing sleep, and Horm did the same. He grabbed the human's arms and slung him onto his age-old shoulder, looked over at his companion who had done the same, and went to exit the house. The other male vampire was already out there waiting with the parents' son on his shoulders. They all simple grinned to each other, their eyes even gleaming of crimson in the darkness. In the distance, horses and cattle cried as the female preyed upon scraps.

Celena crouched silently, listening to the voice of her leader command the rest of the warriors to what sounded like an interesting task. She knew very little about these humans, as most of the clan refused to speak of them aside from calling them dinner. She'd always been curious to visit them, to see this city that they spoke of. She knew she could take their form but did not have a single clue what that form really looked like, not that she was very good at it.

The longer she listened the more she knew there was a chance of being caught but even more than that, she wanted to know just what they were planning. From the sounds of it, Vischer was planning to attack a large group of these humans, with only a very small fraction of the pack. Not that she had any doubt about their success. Even at her young age she knew these warriors were the strongest of the clan.

Suddenly she freezes, her body hugging the ground as she can feel Vischer's gaze through the darkness. In that moment she knew that he knew she was there. Yet when he said nothing she remained motionless a little unsure. She'd thought for sure he would have charged over and run her out if not yelled and sent her back. Then again it wasn't often she was in his presence so maybe he just didn't know who she was.

As she watched them disappear through the trees toward the less dense forest she remains crouched on the ground unsure of what to do. She could follow, if only to get a glimpse at these humans that would soon be slaughtered in the light of the moon, or she could return to their home and try to stay out of sight of the elder members of the pack.

What the hell do you think your doing out here? Aarin's familiar voice questions, startling her. She really need to block him out, but her mind had been preoccupied with other thoughts. She glances over to see the larger Wolfen heading her way. Come back home right now! I can't believe you left again!

Go home by yourself! She growls blocking out anything more he might say and then takes off through the thick trees, weaving and hurtling the debris. She only wanted to get a peek, nothing more than that. She'd stay out of sight and no one would know she was there. She just wanted a glimpse, her curiosity of these humans demanded it. And this seemed like her only chance, considering she'd managed to slip away for so long before Aarin had noticed. That and she didn't want to have to sit through another all night lecture, at least not without having something worthwhile to think about.

Grass crunched under their boots as they marched towards one of the cities gates. It was there that the battle was going to take place, and his heart fastened, not with fear but with readiness. They prepared long and hard for this, and all they needed was a victory like he imagined. There was no reason for it to go wrong, especially since Crucia was defending itself against Brin. They would have to be well spread so they could cover any area of attack, but spread too thin was a bad thing. The elite force that Vischer had muster could easily dominate the soldiers dispatched in a single post. However, he knew things did not always go the way they favored, so he needed the most luck he could get for this night. Everything else could go wrong, but tonight had to be perfect, which is why he picked the day the moon shone its brightest. It would be plenty of light to show their fierce forms to those that were within the city, they would strike fear into everyone's heart, ah such thoughts overpowered him and made his strides increase towards the city wall.

It did not take long for them to pass through the woods, since they cleared quite quickly as it made its way to the city. So as they continued on the ground, Vischer took lead with his eight men marching shoulder to shoulder. They were all in their human form, and only Vischer and his three chosen soldiers actually looked a bit buff, of course they stood out more than he. Once the Crucian spotted them, they would probably make nothing of it really, only a ragtag group, probably a hunting group or something of the sorts. It would be so easily just to march into the city. Even though at night their defenses were the strongest, always alert to check for Vampires, they need not worry, they were not vampires. They could just greet the city guards as well as the vampires who would probably make sure they were not Brin, and just walk effortless into the city for a good old slaughter. Well Vischer couldn't help but laugh about that in his mind, however, to get the energy in his men flowing, he had to show them he did not fear their strength and that they could easily overpower an alarmed group. So with that said he marched not to the gate but just a few yards beside it and looked up at the City Guard on top of one of the towers.

"Ah, what ye have up to mister?" One of the strange bearded fellows bellowed down to Vischer and the group, obviously caught by a bit surprise to see a small group clothed in robes just staring up at him. Probably not even the common man would care to look up there, so it made the man sway his words a bit.

"Well," Vischer voice was strong and seemed to race up the cobblestone effortlessly to the man's ears. "I would like to speak to the one in charge of this post."

"Well, it looks like you've come to the right part," he fashioned a smile, "So, what do you want?" His head bobbled a bit as he asked the question.

Vischer laughed, his hands clapped a bit almost thrilled at the man's manners, "Ah it looks indeed that I've came to the right man." There was still a smile on his face but his voice started to grow more sinister, perhaps letting his inner wolfen come out as he spoke, "I am in a good mood, and feel a bit generous, so I want to make you a deal." The man seemed lost for words, probably wondering what a stranger would want to offer him, so Vischer continued on never raising his voice just deepening, "I think I'll give you five seconds head start to run to the next post and alarm them that you are under attack." His hand raised showing all of his fingers and thumb.

"Wha-what did you say?" He stuttered, but caught sight of Vischer thumb going down, "You're not serious are you?" Vischer still did not respond, just merely moved his pinkie down. "Guards, close the gates." Even if it was just a joke, there was still a chance that the man moving his ring finger down could be a vampire, so the guard had to take precaution. "Look, there's only nine of you, I can have my archers shoot you before you take a step" he gestured to probably his two best archers and beside them was Earrl, Vischer wanted to laugh but merely bent down his middle finger, only his index finger remained. "So think about it, even a vampire wouldn't try to bust through a boarded gate with archers pegging you." The index finger went down.

"Ah a pity, it looks like your five seconds went to waste, you really should of taken my offer." He started to laugh, even as the arrows on the bows start to be strung, "Yes vampires wouldn't try to bust through, but you'll see we're much more than vampires!" His head leaned back, and his body darkened, growing into his antrho form, quickly his pack followed in lead. Once they were follow developed, he and the others let out a unison Howl that ripped through the cities gate alerting Sulvan, Vash, and Erral that their time to shine was now in play.

He need not to see the fear in the man's face, the wolfen had finally showed their face to the Crucian. And even now, he could hear the screams coming from the inner city as Vash and Sulvan must be already ripping their way through people. Erral would be in charge of taking care of the archers as well as the commander of the post, and Rimstar would help launch his crew up the gate by the old foot in hand, so that Erral would not be alone. Mean while, Vischer would lead his troops towards the door in an attempt to overrun it. This battle was not going to be too long, but it was going to be bloody.

The night had been long and full of angst. Through many nights the Wolfen and their Alpha, Vischer, had planned this very night. When Vampire and Human would cross Wolfen for the first time on the land of the Crucians; to show who really was the hunters of the land. The Civil quarrels of The Vampires was a meek comparrison to the unity of the pack; the humans, always struggling to stay alive, forced to make a treaty with the own race that drank their kind. There was nothing pure about the way such creatures lived. The Wolfen were somethign much more than them; a force hidden from the land for a long time. The races should've been more careful with the way they exposed themselves. All of it lead up to now, and there was nothing they could to prevent it. Vampires may be storng, but the Wolfen were stronger.

Nine figures came faintly close to the gate. A shadow, silent and cloaked on the upper level, watched them from above with his lips quirking into a smile. Vischer's voice rang like power over the human that stood night guard along with all of the prowling Liebeis Vampires. And with his stupidity to use, on his last chance to spare, the human had finally called for the gates to be locked shut once and for all; just as quick as the screaming started. Vash and Sulvan must've been craving this moment more than anything, the first to go forth and shred their teeth upon the humans. Erral finally moved his figure all the way, his figure forming and growing hair, claws, fangs and a somewhat long muzzle; his cloak fell from his head, his ears forming into long, pointed, half-skinned ones. It was the form that one would call a werewolf; but the Wolfen were no such tales. No, it was a mere anthropic stage between Wolfen and Human.

The human at the gate and screams within the city had obviously given enough alert for southern end of the city to begin stirring. Even out in the farmlands lights were turning on, heads peeking out in the distance, wondering what such noise was. Erral didn't waste a second. His crouched, wolf-like figure moved fully around the wall, waiting for what was to come. The humans were going to use mere archery, as they had studied; advanced and tactic for them, but a mere twig to Erral. Lights all over the city were turning on, wondering if the Brin vampires had finally come for them all on a large raid. But they were mistaken with faint snarls of Vash and Sulvan.

That was when humans holding torches, bows, and quivers full of arrows came running up the steepway of the wall, looking down into the darkness as they readied their weapons. It was up to Erral and thre others of the elite members to hold up the arches; long range weapons could still be irriatating. And although Erral wasn't much of a fighter himself, preffering to dirty business of a snitch in hiding, he was still a wolfen by heart and would fight to the end. The Crucians hadn't noticed him standing there yet, and his features formed back to human. A torch flew across his curious features, and one of the men stopped dead in their tracks, staring at Erral with a strange look.

"W-who are you? What are you doing?" All of the arches lowered their bows just then to stare at Erral.

"We're a nightmare reborn, Crucian." Erral said calmly and soothingly to the darkness. And then he was on them in a second, changing into his anthropic form and leaping in his crouched figure towards one of the men. He didn't even have the chance to scream or cry for help; he wasted the last second of his life trying to steady his arrow with a trembling hand. The other humans were upon Erral in a second as he shredded the human, growling deeply in his throat. They dropped arrows, the stirng slid from their fingers, and by the time even one of them was done Erral was upon the next, but this time taking care to kick out his leg to clumsy the human next to him even more, snarreling in the process. Erral only hoped the other three would be up soon enough.

Celena notices the trees beginning to thin out, meaning she was either coming upon a clearing or the edge of the forest. Given that she had been following the scent she guessed it was in fact the edge of the forest. She pulls herself up to a stop once she reaches the line of trees allowing her to look out into the open countryside. She'd never seen so much open space before and it amazed her. She stood for a moment just staring a little shocked.

Taking a cautious step closer she sniffs the air to detect if any of the warriors are in the area and might notice her. Not smelling anyone near by, although she did smell something she had never smelt before. She moves slowly out of the cover of the trees, her white coat glowing in the moonlight. Of course if she didn't hurry there wouldn't be many living humans to glimpse near the gate. Pushing past caution she takes off at a run toward the open country her pale eyes spotting a large structure a few miles ahead in the darkness. Could that be the city of the humans?

She comes up short, halting to a stop when the scent of her clan suddenly assaults her senses. She had apparently found them once again. She crouches down in the grass trying to make herself even smaller than she already is. She crawls closer, moving slowly, trying to keep out of sight. This was proving difficult though given the openness of the countryside and the not quite tall grass.

As she moves closer, the unfamiliar scent once again enters her nose. Is that the smell of humans? Did they really smell so bad? She felt almost sick just smelling them. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. If they smelt this bad then they must look awful. Of course since she was here there was little point in turning back until she verified it.

She suddenly freezes in her slow crawl when her eyes spot Vischer and the warriors already beginning their attack on the unsuspecting city. She spots a small but not slender figure on the walls above, in fact there are several of them. Is that... a true human? She wonders watching them frantically running around in disarray like little meals waiting to be eaten. Even with her superb eye sight, at her current distance she could not really see them very well. Yet to move any closer was just asking to announce her presence to her clan members, and she knew that was not a wise thing.

A small puff of air escapes as she contemplates what to do. If she plan to go no further she might as well turn back. Her curiosity surged forth at that idea and all she wanted was to see one human. Just a single one and then she would return to the safety of the woods, a place humans didn't venture into. Drawing on her curiosity, for curage seem to be in short supply at the moment she moves closer, extremely slowly. She just had to get close enough to see one of them. Her pale eyes glow in the moonlight as she watches the carnage unfolding but still could not get a good view.

She was beginning to feel like she needed to be where Vischer was to be able to see anything of value. Then her eyes flicker up toward the top of the wall and they land on what appears to be a single figure standing alone, as if all the rest had finally fallen around them. She realizes that in fact she can see everything about him, meaning there was no need to move closer. After a moment of inspection she realizes that they look just like her clan does when they transform into their third level. So they really do look human in that form, she'd always wondered.

Celena's pale eyes watch the figure noticing he is raising something. The string glistens in the moonlight attached to an arched piece of wood. A trembling object protrudes from the strange contraption. He moves his arm back, pulling the string almost in slow motion to her eyes. Only to release the string sending forth the object. It took her a moment to realize it was hurtling in her direction. Had the human possibly seen her? She jumps back as it draws closer moving out of range quickly. Okay maybe it was time to go, Vischer might notice if they start attacking behind him. With one final glance she quickly turns and runs back toward the trees and the safety of the forest.

When screams erupted through the night, Liefon was up in an instant. He stormed out of the throne room, slamming the doors open, the wooden figures slamming against the walls, the hinges creaking. Fury and blind rage was overcoming his mind; he couldn't believe it. Were the Brin actually that foolish to pull an attack this late at night, when sunrise was in mere hours? His Liebeis vampires were supposed to be everywhere in the city; why were such screams, if ever so far away, calling out to the darkness. He strode down the hallway with such an air of power, with such dignity and rage, slamming doors and cursing to himself as he did. His eyes flared red, but not out of hunger. When he was finally down the long, high-ceiling corridor, two of his coven were already waiting for him in a large chamber. He growl and hissed at them in warning towards his personality, and they nodded in acknowledgment, taking steps back to give room for their king.

"Why are they attacking?" Liefon growled through clenched teeth, his shoulders trembling in anger again. He darted his eyes from one vampire to the next; it was a female and male. Artemis and Gunhei. They looked at each other with wide, fierce eyes, then back to their king. his hissed with impatience. Finally, Artemis, the female vampire, stepped forward with a slight bow of her head.

"Lord Liefon... is isn't the Brin." She said in a smooth tone, but shock contorted her pretty features. Liefon looked even more shocked, raising a brow at Artemis as if she were mad. But she looked even more serious than he had ever seen her before; and... it seemed like.. the truth. he nodded for her to continue, looking back at Gunhei for a quick instance then back to her king. "The other half of our guard are still out there. They told us to come back." she shook her head, as if unable to believe what she had seen herself. "At first, they were.. humans. They looked that much. But then, then..." she couldn't go on anymore, fear temtping her trembling voice. Liefon realized this with pure sympathy, pushing past his anger and taking quiet steps to stand in front of Artemis.

"What, Artemis? Tell me." It was almost his turn to sound soothing, but how could he not? he was their king. He had to stay calm for them. Liefon cared for nothing more than his clan, and for one of his kind to grow fear in her dead heart... it made no sense. he put a hand on her shoulder, watching her with hard, expecting eyes. She looked up at him again, eyes more calm.

"They were wolves, my lord. Large.. wolves... that began tearing through the houses of humans and... ripping them to shreds. The smell of their blood was even horrific at the jaws of such mouths." her voice was almost a whisper as she relayed the events almost perfectly from her mind. Gunhei quickly stepped closer to Artemis, who happened to be his mate, resting his arms around her waste without each other touching bodies. Liefon stepped back, crossing his arms as he took in what Artemis had told him.

Humans? That... changed into wolves? it made no sense. Liefon was up in the next second, striding past the two vampires while ordering, "I want all the guards after such super humans. I want them dead, before they corrupt us with their tainted blood. Now, Artemis, Gunhei!" The two vampires nodded and took off sprinting past him. Liefon stopped in the shadowed doorway, more screams enveloping his keen hearing. To his right, out a thin, stone window, he could see the lights of humans flickering on throughout the whole enormous city. how foolish they were. They were only giving themselves a way.

But still, he had to find a way to stop this, to find out what was going on. Clenching his fists to grow even paler, if that was possible, Liefon took off in the direction after Artemis and Gunhei. He wasn't about to stand by and let his clan be destroyed.

An arrow pierced through the adrenaline of the battlefield and tore away till it was no longer in sight, Vischer though new where it was heading. Celena... His eyes darted back for a second, seeing her cowering away from the attack, she was lucky this time. 'Cursed girl!' Vischer thought to himself, for the next arrow would find its prey, and no wolfen should ever be prey to a human! Before it was power of war that surged through him, now it was power of rage. A loud bellow came out from him that could be heard further than any howl, his fists pounded against his chest as he continued to rave. He gathered the eyes of the soldiers above so their attention would no longer be on Celena. Vischer would protect her, even if it meant losing his own life, but he would not die here either, no, even in a blood thirsty rage he knew what he was doing.

Rimscar finally gathered his three troops up in the gate above, slaughtering came easy to them as the humans were distracted on all sides. The man above who had fired an arrow towards Celena was now drawing his bow towards Vischer. The wolfen man would not leave his grown, growling and snarling and yelling at the man to fire. The tip of the arrow gleam ready to let fly- snap, the bow broke in half, but not before the arrow darted clumsy in the sky. It fell a few inches from Vischer's shoulder as the human body clashed to the ground beside him. One of the wolfen took care of his problem, he glanced up there and bashed his fist against his chest "ho-ah!"

Now that majority of the archers were taken care of, some would jump down the city and start attacking it just as well. Rimscar troops could take care of themselves, but would soon be overpowered by the vampires behind the gate, so Vischer had to act fast even still. "Ready?" He yelled as his feet moved quickly to the gate. His oversize girth ready to plummet into the gate, each of his pack and Rimscar as well grew ready in the same stance, their power building, mounting surging as they rushed shoulder into it. SNAP SNAP SNAP, the gate buckled under Vischer, and as the other four smashed against it in the same manner, the gate could hold no longer, it caved in on their beastly form.

Human eyes as well as vampires looked shocked in amazed at how easily these five warriors destroyed their precious gate, their last line of defense. They paused a moment in their response, just long enough for Vischer and the others to toss the door as if a field mouse, and fling it hard against the western entrance. The gate slid and bashed between the buildings until it came to a stop, almost perfectly upright. His plan succeeded, however if the vampires and humans mustered enough force in that direction, it would soon cave way, so they had to work extremely fast.

Vischer's pack already started to slaughter the vampires and human alike, they walked shoulder to shoulder, one would attack, the prey would defend, while the other wolfen would then attack the human from the other side, delivering a lethal blow. As long as they marched like that they could defeat the whole dispatched human squad, while Vischer and Rimscar made quick work of the vampires. Both of these strong warriors ripped the hunters of the night into shreds, blood drenched the ground as the onslaught grew. Rimscar's pack was sure to be hunting the men, women, and children in their homes.

The death bell was ringing, and their victory was growing. However he knew danger would soon come, someone would see the grim reaper collecting his toll for the night. The first to respond would be the vampires of the night, for they would have heard the screams and send reinforcement, humans too would send theirs shortly after. It would be only a matter of time before Vsicher would have to give his order to retreat. However they would stay until Sulvan or Vash saw the first wave of attackers coming be it vampire or human, theirs eyes would give the uncanny ability to see the enemy from afar, so they could leave the battlefield and make it look like they were not retreating. These wolfen elite would leave this town in havoc, and in their wolfen form they could easily dart away before anyone could lay eyes on them, so it'd be as if a supernatural force had ripped through the town in but a single moment, leaving mercy for none. Darkness of night had gave them the ability to steal their victory as the feasting among the shadows begun! Hooooowl!

As the forest open before her Celena pulled up to a stop and turns back toward the open countryside and the city beyond. A city that she still wish to explore, a city that not because of the humans still had many curiosities. She glances up toward the sky seeing the moon was hanging lower now, dawn would be approaching soon. Which meant the battle would be over soon.

She turns away from the countryside and darts into the trees, her white coat disappearing into the dark forest. She runs through the trees knowing she needed to reach the clearing soon or she would be facing several very angry elders. She couldn't understand why they refused to let her go far on her own, she wasn't that young. She wasn't a cub anymore. She snorts, air misting with her breath. Already the earth was beginning to show signs of the coming dawn.

She leaps over a large broken tree branch yet her landing it anything but smooth. She tumbles forward realizing that the adrenaline she felt before was now disappearing since she was no longer in any sort of danger. She was beginning to feel the affects of all this running about, not only with the hunting party but that which followed after. Her breath comes heavier now as she pushes herself up, shaking the debris free of her coat and limbs.

She moves through the forest much slower now, the urge to just sleep tugging at her. She pushes it away knowing to fall asleep outside the clearing would only net her more trouble than she seems to have found in one night. She pushes forward until finally the thinning of the trees and the scent of her clan lets her know she is close to home. She slips around the clearing looking for a prime place to slip back in and hopefully collapse for some sleep.

Celena finds a deserted area near the clump of rocks, and slips through the trees deciding it was her best option. The moment she is on the clear grassy earth she plops down, the tension leaving her. With paws outstretched she rests her chin comfortably before pale eyes slip close and she easily falls asleep, praying that no one notices her.

Erral was not surprised when Rimscar finally brought on the help he needed on the wall above; archers were beginning to shoot their arrows everywhere now. One out in the distance, which turned on Vischer; more at the pack members that threatened, creaked, and tore the gate from it's hinges. He could only smile wryly to himself at how accomplished they were so far. If things kept up, the Vampires and Humans would be begging for mercy. There was only one archer left now, on this side; he stood between Erral's snarling anthropic jaw, and the wolfen form of another elite. The human cowered from one side to the next, murmuring to a goddess of the land that would not help him in hopes of saving his life. Then, like a blade across the sky, the other elite wolfen gave a small howling noise, the human's gaze stuck on only it until he launched forward and shredded the Crucian's body.

The upper wall was literally taken care of as of now. Erral had no other specific directions to uphold, only to make terror within the city. His form twisted back into his human one, but his abilities were still left to him. He moved around the wall quickly, took one glance below, the leaped only slightly forward and landed on the ground at a crouch. An archer who had somehow escaped the other side of the wall was just running past him; he snarled and growled in warning, but another was already upon him. Erral took off then to the catastrophe deeper in the southern part of the city, where more and more screams were emitting from. Howls, snarls, growls, screaming, crying; nothing was silent in the city. They were all sounds of victory and death alike.

Up ahead, four figures stepped out of the shadows, baring fanged teeth and hissing like monsters. Vampires, of the Liebeis Clan; one female among three males. With his keen hearing, Erral could hear more hissing close by. So they finally come. He could only give a small smile as the crouched figures slowly and gracefully moved towards Erral, claws errect and eyes flaring. Erral twisted back into his Anthropic form, growling loudly and menacingly back at them. But they continued forward. Noticing they weren't going to back down, Erral, with pure confidence and courage, started to move closer as well, hands up with yellow, ancient claws. They were beginning to surround him, but Erral wasn't going to let it be. The only way to kill a vampire is by shredding their bodies like humans or a steak to heart... even the fabled holy water. He preferred the first one.

Just then Erral launched forward at the female vampire, a slik and feline form. She jumped at him all the same, but he was stronger, larger. His teeth shredded at her shoulders, claws at her torso; but her claws did damage as well, scratching his sides and face. And then the other three vampires were upon him, scratching at him and trying to poison him with their venom. He let the female go, jerking around to scratch and bite at them. Another elite member who was running through the area, carrying out his task of destruction, found Erral just then, and leaped upon one of the male vampires at once. Erral did the same, leaping forward to attack one of the males. The last male was helping the female up, then attacked Erral with a blind rage. The female got up and ran; but Erral wasn;t going to let her escape. He threw the vampire aside, blood now comign from his half-skinned hide, twisting into his pure wolfen form now as he charged forth after the female. She didn't get far from him, with out quick his form made time. He was on her again. And this time, he shred her so terribly that, for a few instants, she seemed purely dead.

The male was on him again. But he quickly threw him aside, leaving the other elite member to take care of him. Erral grinned almost satisfying to himself, leaving claw marks along the shredding corpse of the female, then dashed forward for more havoc. By killing a vampire, the King himself would be more the infuriated; hopefully man enough to show himself, like their strong and brutal leader Vischer, and put himself to the task of destroying the elite unlike his minions.

Michelle Rouge jerked her head up to the sound of distant screams in the city. She was in her study room, the room that had been issued to her at the beginning of her career as the King of Crucia's advisor. Dropping her feathered pen on the desk she'd been sitting at for a good couple of hours now. She barely ever got any sleep, due to her job and the fact that she had no interest in trusting the filthy creatures that dwelled in Crucia. She stood swiftly, but gracefully leaving the various paperwork to sit in the dwindling light from the white candle that was slowly decreasing in size.

Her face was like stone, showing beauty and age in the passing lights of the hallway. Her dark lips were pursed in a tight line and her eyes were a magnificent green, but they only showed hardness and anger. Her long, slimming, purple dress hid her moving feet, which were adorned in black heels that clicked along the floor. The neck of the dress was buttoned up the collar that reached her jaw and frilled out like the collar of a queen, and her short, jet black hair lined her face perfectly, with straight bangs that stopped just above her pencil thin eyebrows.

She came to a halt as she passed by the housekeepers' quarters, listening intently on the frightened whispering and gossip. Her eyebrows drew together as she heard the talk of creatures attacking in a mid-section of Crucia, and that was all she needed to hear. Michelle started walking down the hallway with an even quicker pace, making her way to the throne room only to find it empty. She walked through the opened doors of the corridor and followed the voices to a chamber room. She burst through the large doors and stared intently at the vampire Lefon, leader of the Liebes. "What is the meaning of all of this?" she asked angrily, circling to the front of the vampire 'king'. She wouldn't dare bow down to a vampire at night, and he surely wasn't her king. "Well? Who are these creatures that have made an attack on us?" she asked, her arms remained at her sides, but her muscles were tense. She could hardly stand being around vampires, but she would not let this sort've thing go, not when she was around, and especially since her suspicions about these bloodsuckers was increased by this sudden event.

The screams were growing even more, the hissing over his coven silenced by their unknown death wish. Liefon was growing furious again as he marched down the corridors, ready to ambush anything himself. He was a strong, well-built vampire; he couldn't stand by and let them be destroyed like this. At a rate such as this, the humans and the Liebeis may be destroyed. He was about to head down another corridor, down a spiral, short stairway that lead into one of the chambers with doors to the outside, when a voice stopped him. A human, up? He stopped dead in his tracks, curling his fists together, then taking a deep breath before turning around to face the human. He had seen her rarely; when the king decided to actually stay away from his royal duties by going to bed earlier, she'd been dismissed from him for a nightly cha with Liefon. He didn't know her name, but much was easy enough to tell; the woman was his advisor. Liefon still didn't understand humans all the way; how they needed an advisor to help them rule. She might as well be a queen.

At first, Liefon wasn't sure if he wanted to tell her; but thought better of it. He himself was married to the now vampire daughter of the king of crucia; he was the one who made the treaty. A treaty meant equality. And if the king was too busy with his dreams to notice what was going on, maybe the advisor would do something better with the humans against this force. He eyed for a moment, then fixed his posture to a more straight and formal one. "I'm not sure what they are." he looked out the windows, the faint call of screams echoing throughout his ears, "They speak of wolves, Crucian. They are not the Brin." His voice was distant and quiet, but he spoke loud enough so she could hear. Then he jerked his head towards her fully, "You're the advisor of the king. When he is not around, should you be doing something? Your race is crumbling to these creatures. Do you hear their screaming? They have no guidance right now. I alone.. must bear my own coven. But we're doing all we can."

It's like he could feel them dying, his coven. Few at a time, but still dieing; even one of them being gone meant much. His coven was large indeed, probably one of the most largest in the world, with over thirty vampires in all. They were decreasing... but how could such creatures be killing them. he couldn't bear to stand here and wait for the human's answer. He shook his head with frustration, turning to leave, "I'm going out there!" it was mainly directed towards himself, such fury in his tone, knowing what a terrible being he must be to stand hear and watch, to listen.... that was when Gunhei came running up the stairway, coming to his kin for the second time.

The vampire noticed Michelle, glancing back to her and Liefon with wide, red eyes. Liefon stood there, somewhat surprised, looking the vampire up and down; he had tears all over his body, thin blood bleeding and dripping to the ground. A human would've been dead by now with how much blood spilled over his body, or faint. Gunhei cleared his throat when Liefon nodded, angst in his eyes. "T-they're wolves... not even.. monsters... Lord... t-they... they killed Artemis...." Liefon immediately growled, deep within his throat; he pushed Gunhei to the side and rushed past him, preparing his own fangs and claws to fight and avenge.

Gunhei stood there, almost shaking if one could, crying if one would.. from the loss of his mate and such terror recking his beautiful skin.

Michelle narrowed her eyes at his question. How dare a vampire question her priorities! She was about to walk away when the torn up vampire made his way up to Liefon. "Hmph," she mumbled, eyes staring at the abomination in disgust. She made no atempt to help the thing, turning on her heel to walk back into the building to seek out the lazy king.

'Tap Tap Tap' the sound of knee-high, stilleto, lace-up boots echoed in the small staircase, as the nervous and unnescessary breathing escaped Amelia's pale, lifeless lips. She'd been on the balcony, listening to the uprising conflict from afar, when she saw a wounded vampire running up to Liefon on the floor below. She made her way down the steps, the large bows on her short, pale yellow dress flowing with her movement, along with the strands of jet black hair that had fallen from her up-done hair.

Passing through the doors she jogged passed Ms. Rouge, who gave her a sort've glare. Amelia didn't pay any attention to her though, she knew what Michelle Rouge's view on vampires were, for she had heard it when she was still human. She made her way to Gunhei, running around Liefon in order to do so. Falling to her knees she inspected Gunhei with soft caressing hands. "Gunhei, what happened to you?" she asked softly, frowning at the blood that was dripping out of him. She didn't care that her dress was now spotted with blood, all she wanted was for there to be peace in Crucia, and it didn't look like that was going to happen anytime soon with these new attackers.

Amelia stood up and turned to Liefon with a determined look on her face. "Liefon, if you're going out there, I'm going too," she said, and it wasn't a question. She wanted to help no matter what it took, and he couldn't stop her.. Well, he couldn't stop her determination. Amelia walked up to him and looked him dead in the eyes, "Please, for my people," she pleaded. And of course she'd be ready to defend herself if he protested at all.
