Enero arched his back and started gliding in circles with slow, quick wingbeats to keep alititude. He had sustained himself in the air, only to see if the creature would attack; and now, as it lowered itself among a tree, his suspiciouns were even more curious. If it was sent by the alchemists, wouldn't it have attacked him straight on? or even Ophelia? Maybe it was trying a different tactic in the trees? Either way, he didn't want to find out, and neither did OPhelia. But, the girl being a stubborn, rebel woman she is, she began to glide in circles more and more downward to his distress.

The minor dragon was making way for the trees, only feet above them as she dived, then snapped her wings open. 'WHAT are you doing?' Enero's voice shouted in her head, but she ignored him. The creature had not attacked; so, what if there were other bonded? Ophelia had thought it over many times and sure there was; how could a pair of dragons be the only one? It seemed impossible with the minds of the alchemists. And with all the children that were brought in so many years ago then locked away just as she had been her whole life, she was lamost sure of it. That odd looking creature had to be something to do with the alchemists, and whether good or bad she was going to figure out.

Suddenly Enero's large shadow dived over the trees, like a sonic boom beaming in her ears with the beat of his wings. She knew he was trying to get her away, but she just snorted at him, made a final thought, then spotted a close clearing nearby and beat her wings toward it. Ophelia landed in the clearing gracefully, her small tail hitting the ground as she, with watchful eyes, glared around at her surroundings. 'Get back up here, Ophelia!' Enero's voice hissed through her ears, and she looked up into the sky, where, close to the trees above, Enero was making quick circles while looking down at her with reaching claws.

You don't know if it's bad, Enero. If you're so worried get your hide down here. And with that, she started moving forward in her dragon form, confined to the forest and away from the free air. A loud, angry roar erupted above her, his pain and worry pain in her chest, but what if this creature would follow them, attack them in their sleep, or something else? They were never going to know without confrontation.

Dream of the Infnite Beauty

"Arronen. Come here." Caden tilted her head slightly as she peered at the bush in front of her. Her honey-gold hair fell over her shoulders gently, but she didn't notice. The leaves on the bush were a light forest green color, and the plant was littered with dark purple berries. The majority of them were about the size of a small grape, and they were plump and delicious looking. She swallowed the salivation building in her mouth. They were so beautiful...so tempting. She wasn't sure they were edible, but she was so hungry...she had to ask.

Arronen turned his head to look in her direction, but didn't move his body. He rolled his eyes as he saw what she was talking about. His life may be miserable...but she always found a way to make him feel better. "They're fine to eat. You'll be ok."

Caden licked her lips, nodded and picking off a few, she popped them in her mouth. She liked this bond. She didn't even have to ask questions to Arronen. He already knew what she wanted, and always knew the answer. She smiled, if only slightly, at the sweet taste. It was so amazing. So delicious. they were the perfect berry. She had no idea what they were but she didn't care. She lifted her arm and started picking them furiously, placing them in the crook of her elbow. She stopped though, as the mind link between the two of them sent Arronen's wariness over to her.

"What's wrong, Arronen?"

"Two others have escaped. They're coming this way. They're being followed, but I don't believe the scientists will catch them. They'll give up soon enough." The ageless unicorn stood stiff and silent, though, ready to bolt if need be. Caden decided to follow his lead, and shifted to her unicorn form. The berries fell to the ground, each with a soft plop. She didn't care though. The horned horse, like a father to her, always knew what to do. He always had a sense of danger. If he was cautious, so was she. She could feel her own muscles shift and change to form to four legs, as well as tighten when she tensed. A strange feeling she would need to get used to.

She turned back to the berries, though. Arronen would tell her when to run, and the food would only help. She nibbled a few, but tilted her silken white ears to follow her partner's eyes.

Meinery's hooves pounded on the ground as she galloped through the trees. They were long gone by now, there would be no way the scientists could possibly catch them, unless they sent other bonded after them. All outcomes to think of were going through her head, and Ethan's thoughts weren't far behind.

'Meinery, do you think we've just hurt the other bonded by escaping like that? I mean, do you think they will have them even more restricted?' his voice sounded naive and innocent in the centaur's mind.

After a long pause she finally answered. 'We can't be sure. With more and more of us escaping each day I'm sure they will restrict them more and more. There is nothing we can do until we all gain our freedom.'

Ethan remained quiet and rested his head on on her, right below where the human flesh and horse hair joined. He wanted to be happy, truly he did, but he couldn't help but think about the others who would pay for their actions. He let out a small sigh as he sat up a little and looked ahead.

In a very small clearing ahead, Meinery caught a glance of two pure white horses. Instantly she slowed her gallop into a slow trot as she saw the horns on their heads. She knew they were a pair of bonded. When Ethan finally realized that they were there, he sat up even straighter.

'Are they any threat to us, Meinery?' he asked, uncerrtainty in his voice. As unicorns, they looked harmless to them, but he could never be certain.

'We will see' she responded, her elvin face showing only sincerity to the unicorns, hoping that they would not attack. Ethan only waited, his fingers nervously combing through Meinery's sunlight-golden hair.

Dream of the Infnite Beauty

Arronen stood strong and tall as he watched the two approach. The female was obviously centaur, which probably meant the boy was her bonded. He stood in silence, looking them over with suspicion. One of his ears was down, the other angled toward their direction. He listened intently, not even speaking with his mind, for the footsteps of the scientists.

As the mind link was cut off, Caden stopped chewing the berries. She stood still for a minute, her ears the only thing moving. Like Arronen's, they were angled toward the two. She decided to make the first move, though. She shifted quickly. Her silver mane turned to honey-gold hair. The tail disappeared, and she took the figure of her twenty one year old self. She walked slowly to Arronen's side. She didn't say a word though. She was skilled with social matters but she wasn't much for trusting anymore. Arronen finally decided to speak up.

"Hello. We are refugees from the laboratory as well as you. We mean not to fight." He was still tense, and it showed when he moved. He took a few steps forward, turning his body slightly in front of Caden. He would protect her with his life. He didn't feel that the others were a threat, but he didn't want to take chances. His hooves were silent as he moved, even among the dried leaves of the forest floor. He looked at the female of the two and spoke directly to her through his mind. "Are they following you? Have the sent others after us? I know you probably understand...I can't let anything happen to this girl here. I would not be able to live with myself if she was hurt."

Faraday hissed lowly in surprise as the female dragon dropped to the forest floor and started through it. Axis was likewise surprised, but did not make a sound. He was still watching the large male dragon. He was angry, obviously, and his roar was enough to make most run for cover. But Axis knew the dragon wouldn't attack; his bond pair was in the forest and could get hurt.

Faraday, sensing the dragon's distress, dropped to the forest ground in her human form. Her wings spread themselves to soften the landing. Folding up her wings, Faraday followed the female dragon into the clearing. Up close, Faraday could see the shifting earthy colors of the small dragon. It puzzled Faraday to see such a small dragon bonded to such a large one. But if the dragons did decide to attack, Faraday was large enough at least to tackle the smaller one and get some venom into the dragon. The thought filled her with nausea and dread and so she quickly forced it away.

Axis, hesitant to take his eyes off the raging dragon, dropped to the forest floor as well. His eyes were riveted on the huge behemoth glittering above him. He back away from the male and toward Faraday and the smaller dragon. Axis spread his great black wings out behind him and spread them on the ground as an act of friendliness and peace as he stopped next to Faraday.

Faraday, being Faraday, shifted back into her chimera form. She knew that chimeras weren't commonly seen and to see a chimera for the first time was a frightening experience for many. Most people were disgusted by a chimera; their three heads, different body parts that shouldn't be there, three pairs of baleful eyes staring back... Most people fainted or backed away in fright. Faraday resented and liked that. While people were weak-kneed at the sight of her, it gave her time to attack, but it made her feel ashamed of herself.

Axis watched the male dragon with three pairs of eyes, a pair on each bobbing head. Faraday's long alligator's tail whipped back and forth as Faraday sized up the smaller dragon. She desperately wanted to be away from prying, curious eyes like the dragons had, but she knew she had to stand up to them if she and Axis were to get anywhere with them.

Axis leaned against Faraday as he sensed her nervousness. Faraday was a shy girl, but covered it up with a mean attitude. Hopefully, her attitude wouldn't get them both killed.

Silently, Faraday and Axis watched each dragon quietly and calmly.

Look at what you've done! Ophelia heard Enero's booming voice in her head, and she shut her eyes close for a moment, trying to put away his anger and frustration. As the large dragon swopped down closely and quick above the trees, she could feel a gush of wind against her, and she was forced to look up at him and give a sharp roar-ish call to him. she was stubborn, a rebel, a curious woman, and she wasn't about to let a chance just as this pass by her just because of her bonded's worry. She shook her dragon head, then began forward at a good pace, her skyborne body a wonderful noise maker over crumpling leaves, thumping trees with her tail and snorted in disgust. Iy would literally give away her position; which Ophelia discovered already head in some way or another.

For, up ahead of her, was not only one of the creatures, but two. She stopped in her tracks, claws digging into the ground in worry. Her tail was thumping curiously, but her eyes glared challenging, only waiting to see if the creatures were going to attack. Truth be told, she was somewhat intimidated by the creatures; they each had three heads, parts of three or even more creatures forming their bodies. One of them, a somewhat smaller one, was staring right at her, the other larger one she and Enero had seen in the sky looking up at Enero who hovered above the area they were all in. She took a few steps back, arched her back slightly, but didn't growl or make any attemtp of confrontation. Hey, Enero?

What? His voice snapped back, and she wanted to growl in response but didn't want to take the chances because of the chimeras.

Do you think they're bondeds? Like... like us? Enero was silent, not saying or thinking a thing. The only thing that could be heard was the beating of his wings, as Ophelia continued to scratch at the ground with her claws. Well, his relief was somewhat obvious, but he was still cautious and very worried. Ophelia pushed it aside, making her body much more straight and formal as she stared at the creatures before her. She couldn't speak in her dragon form, so, taking the risks of a confrontation or pure fright like in themselves, Ophelia's body quickly morphed into her human form. She was bent over slightly, peering over at the creatures with a curious look.

"Are... are you hostile?" was the only thing she could come up with. Above her, Enero snorted with amusement.

At the girl's words, Faraday and Axis looked at each other in amusement. Faraday also had to change into her human form, for a lioness' mouth couldn't form correctly to speak.

Faraday, in her human form, doubled up laughing. She was laughing so hard she had to hold onto Axis' side. Axis watched Faraday with some amusement as his lion's mouth twisted into a strange grimace-smile. His laughter echoed through Faraday's head, making her laugh harder. As her body shook with laughter, her wings rustled dryly.

"Are-Are we h-hostile?" Faraday wheezed inbetween fits of laughter. Tears formed in her eyes. She wiped them away as her laughter slowly subsided. "Oh that's funny." Axis' heads bobbed up and down in agreement.

Faraday stood away from Axis. She made no attempt to approach the girl, for the snorting dragon up above made for a formidable barrier. Faraday watched the girl, who, she noted with some surprise, looked very similar to her. Her eyes were just like Faraday's, save the dragon eye, and she was just about the same height. Faraday's brows furrowed. That was strange. Shaking her head slightly, Faraday spoke to the girl with a grin on her face.

"You would seriously ask someone if they're hostile? That's pretty silly." Faraday shrugged. "But funny question aside, we're only 'hostile' if you are. Right Axis?"

Axis growled low in his throat in agreement. His wings raised themselves and shook off the dirt from the forest floor before folding themselves back into place. He looked up in the sky searching for the male dragon.

Ophelia flushed with embarrassment and anger, crossing her arms and glaring at the formed girl and her chimera. No doubt the two were bondeds just as she; the smaller chimera had become a girl, just as she from a dragon. She felt embarrassed now for asking such a dumb question, but ti didn't matter; at least they weren't going to attack. Only if she and Enero would; but they weren't, of course. She sighed to herself as the larger Chimera looked up at Enero, and she did as well. To her relief, he didn't seem as stressed, buzzing about like a bee above the trees: he was still close to the tree tops, but gliding around in slow circles as he watched with slivers for eyes. They won't attack. So don't do anything, alright?

As he swooped down above the trees she stood under, she could almost hear his bellowing laughter at how she had gone up to them. Flushing again this time, she turned around, holding her fist up to the dragon angrilly. Stop laughing at me, Enero! I had to ask something!

Yes, well, you may as well have asked her if she was beetle. Ophelia just rolled her eyes at his comment, then turned back around to the girl and her bonded with a curious look. Behind her, she could hear Enero finally trying to make a landing within the small clearing behind her: a few, very small and thin trees were broken down, crunching of roots and plants and twigs snapping up his weight and claws, his snorting and irritated growling easy to be heard. Ophelia stood there, trying not to look back at the clumsy mess, but couldn't hold in a stiffled laughter.

Enero couldn't fit. And now he'd be stuck. You should've known better, Enero! Now look what you've done, especcially in front of these two! He only growled furiously in response, which made her laugh anymore. And then she realized the other two were still before her, probably thinking she was crazy. She scratched the back of her, still laughing, but nervously.

"That's, uh... Enero. He won't attack. I promise."

Faraday and Axis watched the dragons interact with amusement. The girl kept laughing and if Faraday didn't know better, she'd have said the poor girl was crazy. Axis lay down on the forest floor where he stood and watched the others with amused red eyes.

Faraday kicked him lightly, glaring at him as he lay there, staring back at her with half-lidded eyes.

Axis, you're so lazy! Here we are, face to face with another bonded pair, and all you can do is lay there trying to fall asleep?

Axis only snorted and closed his eyes all the way. He steadily ignored Faraday's pokes and prods against his thickly muscled body.

If you're so concerned, why don't you go talk to them, Faraday? It would be good practice for your social skills. And try not to make them angry; you have a bad habit of doing that to others. Like just now. You kept laughing at that poor girl. Didn't you see how red her face got? You're quite lucky that dragon hasn't landed yet and burnt you to a crisp.

Faraday's mismatched eyes narrowed at him. Grinning evilly, she crouched down next to him and plucked out a feather from his wing. Axis opened his eyes with a hiss and glared at her. He whacked her with his wing and she fell over onto her butt. Faraday kicked him a bit more viciously this time but as Axis raised a paw, the girl's bonded dragon landed on the forest floor. Both Faraday and Axis looked up to see the large dragon stuck between trees. Faraday's mouth twitched but Axis shot her a warning look and Faraday smothered the laugh with a bout of harsh coughing.

Standing, Faraday grinned at the girl dragon bonded.

"Well, I'd imagine he wouldn't be able to. He isn't exactly in the position to do anything." Faraday's grinned widened until Axis whacked her on the head with a wing. She shot him a venomous look and turned back to the girl with crossed arms.

"So what brings you two here at this neck of the woods? We've been here quite a while and we obviously haven't seen you before. Did you just escape or what?"

Enero stopped all of his moving around, seeming to finally be in a comfortable spot. He stood on his four legs, eyeing through the trees with his large head, glaring from his golden eyes. With his tail he had knocked a few trees from their stumps and made a large eough area for him to move around easier in, but he still felt cramped and frustrated, his anger and glares of creulty mainly aimed towards Ophelia herself. Ophelia was turned between the dragon and the other bonded pair, making sure Enero wouldn't do anything stupid, and just a watchful eye on the others. Besides, if Enero were to blow fire in such a place, the whole forest would go aflame and there would be no more hiding from the alchemists, and may be damage to other bonded pairs.

When the girl spoke, Ophelia turned her full attention to her, hearign Enero's sarcasm echo in response. Why, we're simply looking to run into a pair of three-headed beasts who love to make stubborn women prance around on her toes and throw herself to her death! Ophelia grit her teeth and shot Enero a mean look, then looked at the others witha trying to be warm expression, blocking away Enero's anger. "We've been around for about two weeks since we escaped, since, well..." she paused, looking for the right words, "Since we don't know where to go from there, you could say."

Which was the truth, because, all and all, the world would be afraid to see a pair of dragons flying over them when all they would really like to do was get someone to take care of the Alchemists. And even though Enero was large and powerful, his flames alone could not handle what the Alchemists had in store around their fortress. They had tried to make plans to help others out of there, knowing such torturment, but nothing was right, a piece always missing. And such a missing peice would lead to death if it were not perfect. As those quick thoughts ran through Ophelia's head, Enero bared his teeth at her. You know we can't.

Ophelia turned to look at him, But we could do something if we allied ourselves. Think for once, Enero! I'm trying not to be stubborn! We could do so much with allies against the alchemists!

We'll see. he snorted in response, and looked away from her, catching his eye on a wandering rabbit that Enero somehow destroyed it's wonderufl home from. He edged closer to it, wanting to claw and eat it, but one of his wings rustled a tree above him and the rabbit went scurrying away. He snapped his jaws and rolled his tongue, wanting something to eat quickly. Can we find something to eat yet?

Ophelia rolled her eyes, and looked at the other bonded pair again, "So.. what's your story, then?"

"Ahh!" Another lunge from Elemera as she tried to get her claws firmly on Phialynch, but in the end the man was just too fast for her. He dodged right out of the way and just as her arms plummeted down where he was, he took a strike at her. A total of five nice red marks lined themselves down Elemera shoulder, instead of screaming in pain she bit down and growled. It was a good thing she was in her Basilisk form, for if Phialynch damaged her beautiful human for she would kick his butt so hard, but right now her anger amounted to the woman's wrath and she sturdy herself for another attack.

Phialynch knew her all too well, her moves were still a bit clumsy in basilisk form, and so he always used it to his advantage. In the future though, he knew she would be beyond a worthy opponent, even now he saw a glimpse or two of her using such grace. It was actually during one of these moments that she sprung around looking almost to be making another dash and attack, but as he pulled away, she quickly gripped into the ground and spun her head around to grasp onto the fawn. Now... now it was a tug of war game, and whoever got the largest amount would be the winner, and their spoil would be their share.

Riiip! The meat torn, blood and sinew in the air as the two finally landed on the ground with a huff and puff. It seemed that a nice chunk of it was divided between the two, and for once Elemera's actually looked like a decent gain! She never ate that much and what she had just took was indeed more than what she really wanted, even if it was only a little less then half. Phialynch was the winner of this match, but getting such a smaller portion than he was used to actually made him not upset but amazed.

"Wow, such strength that thine has shown, thee truly are a match for me. I must say dear lady, I have to be weary of thee."

"Ah you just let me off easy this time," she licked her chomps, and started to gobble down her portion before she continued on, which is quite a good thing she was not in her human form or she would of had quite a disastrous event of food flopping its way around from her mouth. The sweet taste of fawn was more than she could take, her stomach made her definitely devour more of her portion then usual, so perhaps it was indeed a good thing she had received a bigger share this time.

Phialynch just looked at her in amazement, she thought he let her off easy? But that was not the case, she merely improved, and continuing down that path she would be unstoppable, there was no one better to be by his side throughout this thing, but he wondered about something. Would one day she be better than him? What if all of the bonded humans would one day go beyond their bonded creature? He was not sure if it would be a good thing or a bad thing in the future, but for right now it was definitely something he was happy about for it meant that they would have the ability to break into the facility and free all the others. But in order to do that he would have to regain his strength, and so he too bid way his jaw into meat, and supplied his stomach with a supplement worthy of being called food.

Yet... he could not fully enjoy his bountiful meal, for off in the distance he heard disturbances, loud disturbances, perhaps something was going on. Could more bonded have escape? There was only one way to find out, his eyes glared up to Elemera, letting her know he meant business,
"Lady Elemera, it seems things are brewing across this forest, we 'should' investigate."

Basilisks were immune to each others deadly gaze, and even the withering of their wills on one and another, but even still she agreed with the lowering of her head, "Alright Fey, another bite, and I'll be good to go."

Phialynch could be patient at most times, but during now, he would not let this opportunity go waste, he rather the spoils she won, spoil. So with that he turned tail and started to proceed off without her, it was her choice if she wanted to come now or not. Although he hoped he forced her hand enough that she would indeed follow immediately... to investigate whatever was off in the distance.

Faraday flopped back onto the ground and leaned against Axis. He looked up and glared at her with three sets of red eyes. Faraday pushed a head away and smacked another. His jaws snapped at her fingers but he deliberately missed. Faraday patted his head triumphantly; he hated when she did that. Axis growled irritably before laying his heads down once more.

Faraday looked up past the girl and watched the large dragon snap at something she couldn't see. Her stomach suddenly felt queasy at the thought of the dragon eating her but she pushed the thought from her mind.

"Our story? I wouldn't exactly call it a story because it hasn't ended yet, but I know what you mean." She sighed and shrugged, watching the large dragon with mesmerized eyes. So many colors... Faraday's mouth pulled into a frown and she looked back at the girl.

"Me and Axis were in our cage one day, well in seperate ones, and the alchemists came to get us for testing. We were taken to seperate rooms and they started cutting and hurting me to see what Axis would do. First he used his serum to heal himself, but the cuts got more serious and his serum ran out. The alchemists didn't realize that and just started cutting deeper and deeper into me." Faraday's gaze wandered as the memory came back. Axis was up now, staring at her. Her eyes met his lion eyes and there they stayed, riveted by his red eyes. Faraday's voice took on a strange, detached tone.

"Soon I couldn't take it. I turned into a chimera and broke from the bonds they held me in and I killed them. I was so surprised; why hadn't I thought of doing that earlier? But I realized that I was finally ready; I was strong enough to overcome them." Faraday's eyes started to water. She would have let the tears fall if she was the kind of girl who cried. But she wasn't. No tears fell.

"And so Axis used the initiative of surprise to overcome the alchemists holding him down and we escaped through the windows." Faraday let out a harsh laugh. "It sounds so easy now, but it was the hardest thing I had ever done."

Axis rested a head on Faraday's lap and she stroked at it absently as her gaze returned to the other woman's.

"And so here we are. Here we are, two chimeras talking to two dragons."

Ophelia listened intently to what the woman was saying. After a few sentences she decided to sit down on a root beside her, watching her and her sleepy-eyed bonded with curiosity. When the woman finished, Ophelia could remember such times: the confinement and torture they had put her through, by separating Enero and her from each other for long and seeing how the other reacted with one another's feelings of such confined loneliness. They had obviously done much differently to these two, treating them with pain to see how the other reacted. Ophelia had to wonder what other cruel, inexplainable things they did to the other bondeds; by keeping them there for even longer than Ophelia had been. Ophelia herself had been there for twenty-seven straight years among those white walls, experiments, the other growing children that came, dissapeared, mutated and then died. It was a horrible place, and such bondeds were exampls of it.

Enero was watching Ophelia with a cold gaze, but sympathy in his loosened posture. Even in moments where the two seemed so angered at each other, in the next it could only be pure love--- for the pain they shared, for the torment they escaped from and the freedom they longed for. Her gaze gave him a slight grin, then turned back to chimera bondeds. "Well, I promise, one day those alchemists are going to get it. For what they did to us... and for they do to others." Enero growled deep within his throat and long neck, baring his teeth at her foolishness. But Ophelia ignored him. Then she perked up, as her stomache begun to growl really loudly. That sure got Enero to get a little happier as well.

"Well, I'm quite hungry. Your friend there caught us off guard from a morning hunt!" she motioned a hand towards the sleepy chimera, and put her hands on her hips with a sigh, smiling slightly towards the woman and her bonded. "Maybe we'll see you around?"

Meinery watched as the Unicorn listened; Unknown to her if it was for any movements from Ethan and herself or the scientists. She was guessing it was the scientists, for when the unicorn turned towards her and spoke, it sounded as if he completely understood the situation. The muscles in her legs and arms eased up on all of the tension they were holding, but it hadn't all released yet. She could never trust anyone so easily now that they were out of there. A slight, comforting smile eased it's way onto he elfen face, completely understanding the unicorns explanation.

"Please, ease your mind, dear unicorn. I feel the same about this boy on my back, I care greatly for him. As for the scientists, I as a centaur, have outrun them. It could take hours for them to catch up to us," Meinery's voice droned to the unicorn, graceful and kind. She gave a nod to the human girl in greeting, along with the assuring smile that had remained on her face.

Ethan watched as the unicorn changed into human form, and his hands idled from combing through Meinery's sunlight golden hair. His eyes gazed at the girl; from her honey blond hair, to her eyes and then to her bonded. He decided that he'd be less of a burden to Meinery by jumping down from her back, though he kept a hand on her furry body as he looked over at the girl in curiousity.

Meinery turned to look at the unicorn after the girl had shifted. Black glossy eyes locked onto the unicorns as she spoke once again with him. "Please pardon my potential paranoia, but although we've certainly outrun them, I fear that it is unsafe for us to stay here. We shall leave this spot soon, but if you would like, I'm sure we wouldn't mind companions on our journey," she said hesitantly. Faraday's brows furrowed at the threat for the alchemists. That was the big problem. Faraday knew that the alchemists were doing wrong in that great fortress of theirs, but she didn't know if she had the strength of will to go back, even if to exact revenge on the alchemists. Axis watched the dragons out of half-lidded dragon eyes, though the other two heads kept their eyes shut.

The corners of Faraday's mouth twitched as she heard the girl's stomach growl, but she didn't smile. She merely stood with Axis, kicking him softly as he started to grumble.

"Perhaps," Faraday replied, hands on hips. Her mismatched eyes wandered to the large dragon, Enero. As the dragon's name popped into her head, Faraday realized that she didn't know the girl's name.

"Oh, and by the way," Faraday said, "I'm Faraday and this is Axis." She gestured to Axis, who bobbed his heads in acknowledgement. "I know that your bonded's name is Enero, but what's your name?"
