How do I go about joining an RP? Should I PM the person who started it? Or just post an ad type thread so people besides myself can offer themselves to various RPs?

Well, that depends; you can just post in the thread unless the owner of the RP specifically requested you PM them. We aren't horribly formal around these parts, I think ^___^. If you're interested, just make a post.
When you say ad type thread, do you mean just one thread for people requesting to join any RP in the guild?

More like a thread that is basically 'These are who I'm good at and what pairings I like' type thing. Sorta like one of those romance things you find in newspapers the Girl looking for guy type thing but instead it's for RPing...
Sorta like for me it would be:
I RP Mahaado/Dark Magician
The pairings I like are
YamiXMahaado/Dark Magician
YugiXMahaado/Dark Magician
PharaohXMahaado/Dark Magician.
You know so people can ask if they need a character or something...
BTW I have the two RPs up on Gaia but not here. How can I transfer them to this thread?

That's actually not a bad idea at all biggrin ! I have seen similar threads in other guilds, although mostly for people searching for one-on-one RP's. One of the staff here could get to work on that...
Hm, transferring RP's? You could bring the first post over, and the concept, but the RP would have to be started over... or just be a new RP altogether. I don't know about using RP's that are already well underway... well, unless all the members of that RP are also members here, or willing to join the guild. I'm not too sure...

Umm, okay so I haven't roleplayed nor have I written ANYTHING (besides for school... it has been the death of me) in almost a year. gonk
And I was reading through some of the roleplays, and you guys are really good. I am envious! That and slightly intimidated. So, I'm basically worried about how I'll be treated if I totally suck?
And, I also noticed that some other people seem to feel a little nervous as well. Maybe there could be a newbie/amateur thread or something... XD Okay, well it sounds stupid, but maybe it would attract the people who are apprehensive to join a current rp thread. (Not me of course... *cough* *cough*)
Aw, gee that turned into a suggestion... not a question. Although, I think it could be considered both, I hope.
Oh, and I also wonder if I talk to much...? gonk I just can't help myself... o_o;
