"I know I have to train," replied Roule with a small, pointed glare, "but I'm not planning to become all weird and... buff like you. That's not attractive at all. Now I don't really... know who those people are, but it's really their fault they got so weird, right? If you let it get to you." He made a miffed expression while watching the bull child do his reps, wondering if he could even do one. It wasn't likely.
"And besides," he continued after a moment of thought, "it's not like anyone's going to attack me. Vince may think I'm silly but he's a pretty good bodyguard and I have teeth." The pale child enunciated the fact by opening his mouth and pointing to his canines. "Weasels are supposed to take on stuff multiple times their size."

"Weird?" Cody almost laughed through the word, "Ain't nothin' wrong or weird 'bout bein' physically fit, kid. 's weird bein' a limp noodle. Hell, if I wanted tah, I could break ya over a knee right easily. Then what'd ya do? Nibble on mah ancles? Hardly an excuse."
He continued to do pull-ups. They weren't exactly easy, that was for sure, and he obviously took time to do even one, but with practice that would soon change. He had a bit more bulk to pull up anyway. "Ya can't go 'round trustin' someone else tah get'cher back all th' time. Hell Tex is strong as they come but 'e's not always 'round. Can't go intah public places like th' mall or any o' that... and dat's where they get'cha."
He glanced back with a smirk, "Face it kid. If ya were all alone, ya'd be a sittin' duck."

"Well, okay.. maybe not that weird," admitted Roule reluctantly, "but you definitely don't have to do so much training. Don't you have time for anything else? Like... I dunno, shopping or something? I can't imagine trying to do this..."
The boy paused to look at Cody and his attempts at pull-ups.
"...would be fun, especially all the time."
However, the weasel was growing steadily more uncomfortable watching the bull child do his exercises, knowing there was at least some truth in his words. He wasn't built like Cody though, and would never get muscles like him. Up until then, he hadn't really found it unfair.
"No one does anything funny in a mall." The reply even sounded lame in Roule's ears, "Besides, I'm quick. I'd get away without getting hurt, instead of having to fight. Isn't that a better way? If you confront someone, you're always going to get hurt, one way or another. If you're quicker, you might not get hurt at all." This logic sounded a little more plausible to Roule; his talents were in speed, not in might, and he was never one for a direct fight.
