"Funneh... Ah think Wylie's better company than you are." She snorted softly, giving her head a light toss. "At least he knows how t'lighten up an' have a good time without tryin' t'hurt someone's feelin's in the process." Which was something that couldn't be said for her younger brother, Dodger. She could easily understand why he and Wylie argued so often... Especially if this was how the blue stallion treated their green brother too.
A slight smile touched her face as she turned to Antony. "Ah was tellin' your father about mah two littl'uns and then he decided t'be the proud papa an' tell me all 'bout you." She nickered softly as she was nudged by Guilian, turning to loft a brow at him before looking back at his son. "Ah'd hardly call Gulian borring. Ah've always enjoyed the conversations we've had with one another. He's always a perfect gentleman."

Chuckling, Antony looked away from the interplay between Atsila and Dodger to give his father a grin. "So, you're a perfect gentleman now, Dad? That's a new one....though I CAN understand where your pride in your offspring comes from, amazing as we are."
Guilian, in the mean time, was doing a bit of preening; while not nearly as self-absorbed as his friend Ariston, the cardinal stallion was nevertheless very peculiar about his looks, and Dodger's comments about his hair struck him as VERY appropriate. "Well Dodger, your hair can also be the picture of masculine beauty, were you to just work with it a bit. And naturally, Tony, you should know very well just how gentlemanly I am!"
Smiling, he glanced from Atsila to the boys, pleased at how well (in his mind) this meeting was going. He'd had no idea that his little Atsila was the sister of Tony's best friend, so this was proving to be informative as well as pleasant!

"Everyone says Wylie's better company than me except me." He shook his head and rolled his eyes. He already knew no one in the family liked his snark and that's why he stayed away mostly.
It was just easier to hang out with Tony since he laughed it all off. That was easier than trying to be something he wasn't just so his family wouldn't b***h at him.

"Y'just don't know how t'talk t'people, Dodge. It's like... No one's got no feelin's but you an' you don't care none that anythin' you say might rub someone th'wrong way." She shook her head, snorting softly once more. Stupid boys... At least she understood why Wylie was always upset whenever someone mentioned Dodger's name around him.
Frowning she turned towards Guilian. "Ah'm sorry... Ah think Ah should go. Don't need t'be draggin' you an' Antony into any sort o' family squabble an' if Ah stay Ah'm afraid one's goin' t'start." She was too hot-headed to just stand here and talk peaceably after what her brother had said. Between insinuating that she was a monster and calling her crazy she wanted to put as much distance between herself and her youngest brother as possible.

Nodding understandably, Guilian gave Atsila and nuzzle. "I understand perfectly, Chica; it is best to let a little distance help cool tempers before things get too out of hand." This was accompanied by a rather pointed look at his son, a clear reminder of how things currently sat between Tony and Neve. But just as sudden as that look had cropped up, so too did it vanish, leaving the same smiling visiage. "Would you like some company on your walk back? I hardly think that two young stallions would enjoy having a father hanging around..."
As the little spat between the siblings had gotten more heated, Tony's amusement at the situation had begun to vanish; at this point, he was officially ready to part ways as well, and took Atsila's comment as a good opportunity to voice that. "I think that taking our leave might be a good idea, too; Dodge and I have things to do, right Dodge?"

He looked between the other three and shook his after a moment. "Atsila .. you stay right where you are and finish what you came here to do. Tony's right there and you wanted to meet him." He turned, shaking the curls out of his eyes and trotted a little ways away from the others. "I'm the one causin problems so i'm gonna leave."
He knew that Tony could find him later if he wanted to. Dodger generally hung around the same area and his friend had the aerial advantage when hunting for someone.
His tongue always ran off without him and it always got him in trouble. That was the one bit of sense he'd missed getting from Mama. He never thought his words would hurt anyone like they did but everyone, Tony aside, always seemed to think they were.
"Don't stay gone too long. Nuka worries when you're not back before dark." With that he trotted off hopefully fast enough that no one would chase after him.

She tilted her head high, refusing to let any of the stallions see just how upset she was. "Ah'd like that, Guilian..." As much as she would enjoy just racing back home on her own as she would have as a child she knew that would just wind up getting her in trouble. It always did in one way or another... Racing headfirst into things without thinking. It seemed to be common to do things without thought in her family.
"Tony... Ah'm sorry our meetin' didn't turn out all that well. Ah'm... Not as bad as Dodge says Ah am an... Sometimes he ain't all that bad either. I jus'..." She shook her head slowly. "You gonna go make sure he don't do nothin' stupid?"

Narrowing his eyes slightly (in anxiety rather than anger), Tony looked off as Dodger hoofed it away, sighing inwardly. And to think, he'd actually been AMUSED; some friend he was turning out to be.
Still, he knew Dodge; he wasn't one of those worryish types, adn if he said he'd manage, or even insinuated he'd manage, he would. Tony'd just track him down later, harrass him for bailing like that, and then all would be good with the world.
In the MEANTIME, though...
Looking back to the mare, Antony shook his head in abject dismissal of her apology, waving it off with one spiked wing for good measure. "Honestly, there's no need to apologize...Ma'am. Atsila." What was the proper term for one's father's lover that was also his best friend's sister who he'd just meant? She didn't seem that old, but somehow 'ma'am' seemed to work, unless she was one of those that hated the term...
Oh well. "It really wasn't that bad; kinda fun, in a weird family dynamic way. Dodge's your brother, and it makes sense for you guys to bicker. He's a smart one, though, and I'm pretty sure he can manage to not do something stupid on his own. Hell, I'd probably ENCOURAGE the stupid, if anything."
Still, he was glancing off in the direction Dodger had gone, wondering exactly what Atsila thought Dodger might do. What DID count as stupid?
Age and experience tended to make one more observant than youth and lack thereof; taking his own experience hand in hoof with his unique pursuits, it was hardly surprising Guilian noticed Atsila's upset more than his son. Consequently, he gave her a gentle, barely noticable squeeze of reassurance, pondering at the same time whether he should really add anything to this discussion or not. Deciding in favor of the former, he managed an eay chuckle.
"It seems impossible to escape disputes when dealing with relations, Chica; I wouldn't let it worry you, how you and your brother interact. I hardly think Tony will judge you when he and HIS sister are at each other's throats in a literal sense whenever they meet; and I can assure you, having teeth like THAT," this with a gesture at Antony's fangs, clearly visible as the younger stallion gave a sheepish smile, "dealing with the aftermath is hardly pretty. You should be pleased you and your brother can talk at all...and accepting that, this was a good meeting, no?"
Flashing Atsila a grin, Guilian hoped that she too would see the positives. She'd gotten to meet his son, after all, and that was what they'd angled for! However, from the look of things it was about time to wind this little pow-wow down. "I think that we've all managed everything we meant to, regardless...so if you're ready, Chica?" As he spoke, Guilian glanced over at his son, giving him a grin that indicated Guilian, at least, jnew they'd see each other soon.

She wasn't sure what she thought her brother might do... She just knew that their father had done some pretty dramatic things in the past and Dodger was Remy's son. As much as she disagreed with the things he'd said she didn't want him getting hurt... Not like Sedi'd gone and got himself hurt. It seemed to be a pattern for the males in her family... And they called her crazy.
Her nose scrunched slightly as she was called 'ma'am' but she brushed it off easily enough. Being called 'old' in such a way was better than being called 'crazy' and if she had foals of her own and brother's nearly the same age as the foals she might as well be old... Even if she didn't like it.
Eventually she nodded; both at Antony and Guilian at the same time. "Ah'm ready... Time t'go back home. Have t'make sure mah little ones haven't gotten into any sort o' trouble with their Gran'dah, afterall."

That was better, NOT mulling. Nodding his head at Atsila, Guilian spread his wings in a slight stretch, then gave his son a grin. "Well, it looks like I'll be catching you later, Tony; until next time, humor me and behave yourself, ok?" Granted, the twinkle in his eye suggested that HIS definition of 'behaving' was something a bit out of the ordinary...
Still, Tony knew THAT even without saying. He merely grinned, nodding his head at his father. "I always do, when I can. And the same to you. Oh, and it was nice to meet you, Atsila!" Almost an afterthought, Tony fired the comment after the two older Soquilis, his voice carrying through the trees. But almost as soon as the pleasantries were through, he was back on his way through the trees; if he were Dodger, where would he have gone?
