Jae Sung Wul-do. A polearm like a guandao or pudao. I like it, cause its easy for me to use. Otherwise i'm pretty good with knife fighting.... ... but every time i throw them, the handle hits first, no matter what i do. And my knives are very well balanced. Simple, since the knife usually goes end over end as it flies through the air, just stand another 6-12 inches away, and/or hold it the opposite way you do normally. See how that works. smile @ darkphoenix1247: Don't forget that most moves in kali can translate to a knife or empty hand wink Also, Anyone heard of the Kampilan? Very interesting weapon. Sorry it's so huge sweatdrop

DarklingGlory What are the bits on the end for? ..... Opening an over-sized can? I'm serious, it kinda looks like a can opener! Don't get me wrong though, that just means they can rip you a new one and kill you at the same time.

Qijiebian/Jiujiebian:7/9 section chain whip i am going to start learning it soon but from what i have seen of it it is the most efecttive lashing weapon
Tonfa: i lave to use the tonfa like i am doing muay thai (baisically keeping the tonfa on your forearm and using the for defense and throwing elbows.

Aren't those called Moon-soaks or something like that? I saw the weapon your were talking about in Ong-Bak the Thai Warrior( Awesome btw) they looked like they had two handles, unlike tonfa. I'm just asking, I'm no Thai weapons expert. I'm glad for the great feedback! Keep it coming you guys!

What's the feeling on Nine Ring Broadswords? I really like them visually, but since I've never learned to use them, I can't really talk much about them for actual use.

Martial J What's the feeling on Nine Ring Broadswords? I really like them visually, but since I've never learned to use them, I can't really talk much about them for actual use. .... they're too heavy to be useful to me. Then again, the one i got to hold was a pretty poor replica, almost all blade and very little handle.

I've just starting learning sai and I love them.
I've been learning how to use the bo for a couple of years now and after learning sai for only a few days, I prefer it.

Surely you've heard of some guy named...Miyamoto Musashi?

I'd really like to learn how to use one of those though. Where'd you encounter the one you were talking about?

the katana is my favorite weapon[though i just practise with shinai or bokken].i haven't learnt naginata but i think my passion could extend to those too. if anything though, the body is the most dependable weapon-and a part of that is the spirit/ki and if you can extend that to your favorite weapon then when you have made it part of your body[you have mastered half of it] [i hope that makes sense]
