I have mine set a few cm higher than default... although some of the Dark Brotherhood quests where you have to one-shot kill someone are impossible like that =(

... Or maybe i'm just not good xd

Setting the difficulty level on low might make raiding forts, caves, ruins, and Oblivion portals more simple, but I noticed that skills are increased a lot faster when the difficulty is set higher. I guess it's a matter of what your priorities are in the game.

i dont like to play by the rules i would just get my distuction up by going into the arena at easy difficulty jump onto the wall ( trust me you can do it if you are smart enough ) go all the way to the top then set it at hard and kill him for .. 5-10 min XD if im going to kill a city id get it nat hard but have 1000 minor health potions it works if you want your Xp to get to higher lvls much faster but if im done with that and im liek eh ******** it ill get on a high lvl account and see how long i can live with no health potions and a enchantment that slowly buns me to death.

Default for me I'm still pretty much invincible because I spend like the first four hours of the game training haha.It is fun to see people ragdoll up in the air when I punch through their chest with an arrow so sometimes easy is fun.
I also use the difficulty setting to train armor skills or block just set it to the easiest difficulty and let the enemy have at you thus raising your skill as much as you please,not too much though then you get an unbalanced awkward character that cant fight.
