Well, he shrugged. Well, maybe it wasn't a bad thing, he just had to teach the kid not to say the name too often. Or at least not say he was named after his father. His tricks with his name would be ruined and he'd get annoyed quickly with whoever knew it and kept saying it. "Well, mind you keep your name to your self, boy." He said cruelly. "You don't want others to know about it so soon." He flicked his tail and continued to scan the area with his eyes.

Thonas blinked at Thona a moment and nodded. " alright........" ofcourse he was being more obediant now towards THona now tha the knew for sure he was his father. never before was he really obediant in any way but then Thonas only wanted to be like his father. " what else can you teach me?" ofcourse he was eger to learn right now and darely wanted to learn stuff from his father and not his cry baby of a mother.

Thona grinned at his last comment. What could he learn from Thona? His tail flicked to side to side. He finally decided that no one was here, or at least close enough to have heard his name. "Well, I can teach you a lot. " he paused. "but it depends on you." He said eying the kit. Perhaps he was going to be a little weak child.

Thonas stared at him for a long moment then puffed up. " teach me anything i want to be strong like you!" he refused to be a weakling like his mother and whatever siblings that where like her. if thona wouldn't teach him then he would learn things on his own even if he woould get hurt.

Thona's grin continued. "Well, I could teach you to fight." He said simply. Of course he wouldn't hurt his kit, but he would certainly show him how to be like him. He waited for the kits reply. "Unless, you rather not fight your old man." He said.

Thonas now was grinning back, this is what he had been hoping his father was like and was eger to learn. standing as tall as his could, he stood infrotn of his father. " ok teach me." staring up at him, he waited for his first real lesson. the fighting lesson he was about to learn was somethign he was eger for since his mother had tryed to keep him from fighting.

Thona stepped back and looked down at the young male. "Well, first you've got be able to use your claws right." with that said he extended his claws just enough, and started knead into the earth lightly. "This'll help you run to catch up to your victim" he chose the word victim very carefully, instead of pray.

Thonas watched everything his father did. after seeing and listenign to his father, he lifted his paw and looked at it as he extended and then brought them back in. it was a rather simple thing to beable to do when he would do it from tiem to time when he would mess with his siblings. " i didnt know they could be used to catch up to someoen, i always assumed they where just used to stratch." putting his paw down, he looked up at his father.

Thona shook his head. "Well, once they are out when you run with them you don't have to push them out when taking a swing at your victim." He paused. "So, there is too goods in one." He said simply. He wiggled his nose a bit moving his whiskers around. His eyes watched the kit to make sure he was doing it right.

Thonas nodded, it seemed his father had alot to teach him. clawign the dirt a moment as he messed with learning to have his claws out adn in when he exsactly wanted them to be which wasnt that hard of a task at all. " is there anythign else harder you can teach me?" he had a frown on his face as he clawed the dirt as he waited to see if his father could teach him even more.

Thona raised an eye brow. " Well, you have to learn the basics before you just jump into something else." He spat out. "You don't want to run into something your not ready for." He said in a firm voice. He had learned that the hard way when he was a little kit. He wasn't about to let one of his sons make the same mistake.
"Now, Try to run with your claws out. It'll feel weird at first." He said. Looking down at the kit. "Just don't extend them all the way."

Thonas pinned his ears back and looked at the ground as his father pretty much scolded him but it was for the best. " alright." huffing a litte, he turned away, partly extended his claws and took off at a run. it really felt odd and he wanted to take his claws back in but he wanted to impress his father he just met by being able to do anything he asked him to do when teachign him. sadly his claws on one of his paws got caught in a bundle of grass and he went toumbling.

Thona didn't laugh as his son fell. Instead, he walked carefully to the fallen lad. "Get up." He simply said. He figured he would have fallen. He did when he first tried it. Though, he didn't have someone to teach him. He kind of found out on his own when chasing his first rabbit. "Try harder.Once you get this down, then I'll take you out to hunt for a rabbit." He said. He had to teach him how to hunt small things first.

Thonas grunted and got up just like his father told him too. huffing he only nodded to his father and shoook hisself. after that he extended his claws again and took off at a run again. definatly he was lucky to have his father teach him because it would ahve been much harder to have learned on his own. he would not allow himself to fail at this, not when his pride and his father beign proud was on the line.

Thona smirked at him. This hadn't been all that bad after all. He flicked his tail. Now he just had to see the rest of his children. Of course, so far, this one was going to be his favorite. He watched as Thonas ran. He looked as if he had control over his claws.
It was almost time to take him out on his first hunt. Once he can handle getting a rabbit on his own, he'll be able to learn how to move up to bigger animals. Then when he's stronger, and bigger, he'll teach him how to fight.
