As she was looking around , Larahn saw one of the conversations going on break to a halt , and it seemed like both were ready to head their separate ways. Before she entertained the idea of walking over , one of them turned and headed up to her instead.
The woman introduced herself as Emily , and there was a smile on her face as she spoke , but Larahn was willing to bet that she had been looked over before Emily came her way. She wondered , just briefly , how her appearance had been taken , but then brushed away the thoughts. After all , what did it matter , how other people took it? It was comfortable , and she didn't like to dress up any more than she had to.
Finally , she smiled in return. " A pleasure , Emily. As for myself, I'm Larahn. " The answer wasn't very formal , but it was still polite , and the name was easy enough to pronounce. Aside from the strange spelling , it was very much like ' Lauren ' , though maybe accented a little. " So far , it's been fairly interesting. Are you enjoying the party? "

The evening went on and people started to move around. One O noticed that of the ones that had come the female guests was the majority to night. The beautiful ladies in their dresses were almost blinding and not all of them wore masks.
The music filled the hall with its glory and made One O slowly sway in tact. If this had not been an evening for socialising O could have sat himself down to let his mind weave into the tones of music. With a quick breath One O gathered his thoughts again. He raised his hand and pushed the mask a bit further up on his nose. The swirling glitter from the mimsy aura was a good way to hide his face if someone wanted to take another look.

The young man dressed in red caught Zidane's eye again. He was rather brightly colored compared to many of the guests, herself included. A similarly crimson mask donned his face, and he seemed to have some kind of glowing fog wrapped around one hand, ready for useage, no doubt, in case someone wanted to figure out who he was illicitly. Zidane remembered hearing about those things, Mimzies. Apparently, there was some sort of documentary film on them. There had been numerous announcements about it a few months ago.
This time, Zidane didn't bother to lift her skirt to walk towards him, deciding that it was pointless, and if she was going to trip she might as well.
"Hello, my friend. Have you a name for the night?"

Souta sighed as he soon came to the reality that even if he did find someone he knew, they wouldnt admit to it. He walked over to the punch bowl and got something to drink. He gulped it down rather quickly and then tossed the cup into the trash. He then made his way to where there were more people. He noticed two girls exchanging a few words. One was wearing a fancy blue dress with a flashy mask, while the other was wearing a tropical outfit. She did stick out alittle, but he thought it was great that she would decide to just wear what suited her and not just follow the crowd.
He finally made his way over to the two and tiped his hat to both of them. "Evening ladies, how are you? Unless you can recognize me otherwize, you can call me Souta."

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Larahn." Emily answered brightly. Maybe she was talking to someone she knew, now? There were several of her friends that might do something like this, but then there were also many people in Koiji that she did not know, as big of a community as it was. So who was to say, really? "I'm enjoying myself, yes. I'm glad to hear that you are, too. I would hate to think that the Seniors went to so much work to organize this party, only to have those attending be bored. It would be sad. Don't you think?"
Someone else walked up to them, then, introducing himself as Souta. He wore all black, aside from what looked like a red undershirt, a small red ornament on his hat, and his red cane. Obviously, the cane was only for looks, rather than for keeping him upright. His mask was simple black, which brought her to wonder if she and Zidane had the most show-offy masks in the whole room.
"Good evening. I'm doing well, thank you." It seemed to her that her grin wouldn't fade all evening. She was in such a chipper mood. "I'm afraid I can't recognize you at the moment, so the name Souta will have to do." She chuckled merrily. How many people would come, and how many would she be able to learn the identities of? This was turning out to be a very entertaining game. "You can call me Emily.
"So, Mister Souta," Emily began, having decided previously that she would tack on Miss or Mister to the name of everyone she met, unless told not to. "Are you enjoying yourself?

He lifted his cane and put it on his shoulder and started tapping it on his neck.. "Yea, I like it, its fun. I got here not to long ago, so I havent done much. But Im sure as the night goes on, there will be more to do." He heard some music being played and he started bobbing his slighly from side to side.

" Yes , it would be a shame , " Larahn agreed , still smiling as Emily asked her questions , all the while wondering if she knew the woman. Everyone here was so well disguised , and this was only one party! Who knew how fancy things got for other things? " Though , it doesn't look like that many people are here yet... " She hoped that more people would show up , since that gave her all the more opportunities to figure out who they were. She had ideas about people already in the room , but there was no way of telling if she was right , since no one was about to admit to their identity before the unmasking.
She turned her attention to the man that walked up to them. Souta , as he introduced himself... yes , there was something familiar about him. What exactly that was , she didn't know yet , but maybe she'd figure it out after talking with him a bit more. It did look like he was ready for conversation.
Well , either that , or the dance floor , from the way he was bobbing to the music. " Yes , it's good to meet you , Souta , " she said , opting to use the name he had given. Even if she had been able to figure out who he was , it wouldn't be any fun for everyone else if his real name were used. She listened as he answered Emily's questions , choosing not to speak until he had finished. " You look like you belong on the dance floor , " she said with a laugh , though she didn't mean to offend him.

Blazen orange hair glared back at one Keitaro Imohara as he stood in front of his mirror. He examined his choice of clothing once more, hoping that what he wore was formal enough for the occasion. The pale yellow dress shirt and brown pants went well together, but something was missing. Keitaro looked around the his room, hand on chin. "Hmm...." Keitaro pondered. A tie perhaps? he thought to himself. Finding a black tie, he put it on along with a simple black mask, completing his attire for the Koiji Masquerade.
It was only minutes until Keitaro reached the building that was holding the Masquerade. He walked up the steps that led to the front door, a doorman looking Keitaro over. "Ah, right, the pass." Keitaro said more to himself than the person in front of him. After moments of searching, Keitaro produced a pass which he flashed. Receiving approval from the doorman, Keitaro walked up to the door, his hand clasping the brass handle.
Alright, let's hope no one knows who I am. Keitaro thought, opening the door wide to reveal a large ballroom. People were around, not many but there were still some. They appeared to be mingling quite a bit, talking amongst themselves. Pushing his mask up on his nose a little, Keitaro proceeded into the ballroom more, heading straight for the punch bowl.
Sipping his drink, he looked around. Hmm... Mostly ladies tonight. That's quite alright with me. Keitaro thought, a small smile adorning his features. Now, to mingle. But with whom? There was two girls and one guy chatting not too far away. May as well make it even. Keitaro thought, as he set down his empty glass and wandered over.
"Good evening." Keitaro started. "Seeing as this is a masquerade, I'm sure you don't know my real name, so allow me to introduce my alias. For tonight I am Keitaro. Kei for short, if you please." As he straightened his orange hair fell into his line of vision. He flicked his head to the side, quickly fixing that small problem.

He smiled and laughed with Larahn. "Well I do like to dance yes, however, Im not the one to really just go out there and just start laying down the moves all by myself. I gotta have someone to share the moment with, ya know?"

Emily nodded in agreement. “Well, it’s good that you’re enjoying yourself. I haven’t been here long, myself, but the party has only just begun!” Her following laugh was light and airy. Then a moment later, to Larahn, “Oh, I’m sure that more guests will arrive soon. We’ve had such a good turnout already that it’s highly unlikely more people won’t show up. Not that I’m complaining.” She sighed wistfully. “I was afraid that I would be bored here, so I’m very glad that isn’t the case.”
While they talked, Souta had begun to bob his head along with the music that was playing in the background. Well, if he wanted to dance, why didn't he go and dance? He would be an example to the others not to be shy and to just go and have fun. There was a girl here, somewhere, that was staring just as longingly - if not more so - at the dance floor, after all. She wasn't too far from where they were standing, but before Emily could suggest that Souta go ask the girl for a dance, a fourth person distracted her when he joined the group and introduced himself as Keitaro.
"Greetings, Mister Kei." Emily smiled up at him. She noticed absently that it was odd for her to be so social. Normally, she was incredibly shy and rather standoff-ish. Maybe it was the mask that brought out the outgoing part of her. "For tonight, my name is Emily. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Souta replied to Larahn's comment on dancing, to which Emily nodded agreement. "Well, there's someone right over there who looks like she wants to dance. You could ask her. She looks shy."
Now, to ask a question that might help her out with discovering who these three people were... "So, how long have you all been members of Koiji Romansu? This is the One Year Anniversary Party, but I was wondering how many people that came have actually been around that long. Surely not many."

Movement in his direction caught O's attention. In his sight came a young girl with a green wig on her head. All tough a girl was not the best way to describe her, a young lady was more correct.
The black dress that she was wearing impressive to say the least. She spoke politely but without going in circles around the subject. One O however did not answer immediately. He shuffled his foot back a bit. "Good evening to thee my Lady." His gloved hand took hers gently and bowed with elegance in front of her.
“I must say that thou art even humiliating this crystal chandelier in beauty and elegance tonight.” He spoke while he stood up once more and swept out his hand towards the roof to show the chandeliers. Some specks of glitter slowly floated down from his hand and fell on the floor. “I am known as One O and none other.”

"Thank you, good sir. My own identity for the night is Zidane."
Inwardly, Zidane giggled at One O's reaction to her approach. He's sweet. ...And good with pronouns too. Impressive. Wonder if I should follow suit... However, the green haired girl decided against it. Her speech was just as formal as his, even if she wasn't in the mood for stumbling over older formal pronouns.
"It is an interesting Nom de Plume that you have chosen. And an interesting outfit as well. When I arrived here earlier, I was afraid no one would have the courage to dress brightly- I certainly didn't. but, it would seem I was wrong." She glanced at the stream of others that was arriving, among them were only a few dressed in a similarly colorful manner, though Zidane could make an argument for whether it had been achieved as artfully.
"I must confess, though, it was not necessarily your colors that drew my attention, so much as your mimzy and the fact that you had the expression of someone who enjoys good music, now and again."

A ball was nothing without new encounters. One O smiled at Zidane when she introduced herself in a sophisticated manor. It would appear that he had found a partner for at least one dance tonight. The swirling glitter upon his wrist drew his eyes to it when she spoke. "Merely a precaution my Lady. I do agree that it might not be the ordinary tool for its purpose. A fan is most precious at these entertainments but oh so wrong an accessory for my self."
He held his hand up and covered most of his face as to prove his point. "Thou shall not be shy in dressing. Colors are a way to express one self. Do not butterflies and flowers work in the same manor?" The removing his hand from his face revealed that he was smiling. "But I must say."
In tact to the music he twisted his body so that his Mimzy free side came towards Zidane. "Apparently the black rose draws attention like none other could." His hand was stretched out towards the young woman. "Will thou honour me with a dance?"

Natasha checked her wig, her dress, her circlet, everything. It had to be just right for the ball. She sighed, attaching her necklace. "Well, let's do this. I'm already late." She slowly opened her door, took one last look around the room, and left for the ball.
When she reached the ball, Natasha stood at the door, nervously knocking. The door slowly opened and everyone turned to stare. She weakly muttered, "H-hello, everone. My alias is... Natasha. Please forgive me for being late." She stepped into the ballroom, trying to be as elegant and self-confident as possible.

A breathy giggle slipped from Zidane's lips at the young man's words. Tsk. You'd think I'd've noticed if someone like this were in my school. But, then again, I never did pay enough attention. Like Emily said, there are places outside the classes and the plays...
"You speak beautifully, dear sir." she replied slowly. She stepped towards him, fingers grazing along the edge of the mimzy's fog. "But I'm afraid to say, I've never danced with anyone but my brother, and my dances have always been performance, not pleasure." A her seemingly ever-present smile shallowed dimly, and she put on an obvious play of bashfulness.
"You'd have to teach me." The false embarrassment broke, and there was another soft laugh as she took his outstretched hand in her own, and the feel of the gloves on her bare fingers was strange, but pleasant enough. "Lead the way, maestro."
