Extra Extra! Extra long episode! Yep, the episode is way longer than a normal episode. A normal episode is 40 minutes (roughly) long. A Special episode is usually 60 minutes long. Well, we're going EVEN FURTHER! This year's christmas special will be a whopping 71 minutes long! It will start at 6:50pm biggrin Quote: Christmas episode to be a little 'extra' special. With BBC One's Christmas Day schedule just announced, we can confirm that you need to be in front of your telly and tuned in to BBC One at 6.50pm if you don't want to miss a second of Voyage of the Damned. And there are quite a few seconds too. This year, the Doctor Who Christmas Special will run for a whopping 71 minutes instead of the usual 60. If that wasn't enough, there will also be a brand new one hour Doctor Who Confidential at 8.30pm on BBC Three. With a whole host of bonus material launching on the website at around 8pm too, that's quite an evening of Doctor Who entertainment. In case you missed it, and to whet your appetite, you can now watch the BBC One Christmas trailer screened last Saturday night online. It's packed with new footage from Voyage Of The Damned. Enjoy! Watch the trailer. Voyage Of Damned is also repeated at 01.15am on 27 December (signed version) and again at 2.15pm on New Year's Day. By the way, try rolling your mouse over the Doctor and Astrid on the homepage...

More pictures released of Voyage of the Damned!
http://www.drwho-online.co.uk/news/news.htm#ns-votd-pics-3
And in particular, the guy in this picture ... ( http://www.drwho-online.co.uk/news/votd-promo-9.jpg )I'm pretty sure he's the guy from Agent Cody Banks ... well, among other things, but not terribly sure -imdb's-
Ah, not him ... it's the guy from Tracy Beaker xd Well, they look kinda similar xd
Oh ... the Royal Correspondant for the BBC News is in it ... as himself O_O Kinda strange, isn't it? I mean, this happened a long time ago, how is he going to fit in to it?

A new trailer, a FULL trailer, was released today. I need to check my Doctor Who Series 1+2 Soundtrack MP3s, but I'm semi-certain that's either Rose's theme from Doomsday, but it could be the Doctor's Theme from those series xd They were semi-similar. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BUE-QAvk58o

The commercial mentioned above that the Doctor is 903 years old ... I swear he was older xd Anyway, more news biggrin Mega-spoilage on this one so it's going on white-text razz It's from a magazine and explains about the whole ... Titanic actually sailing in June so why is it a Christmas episode thing xd
SFX: Last time we saw the Doctor the TARDIS had been hit by the Titanic. So on the face of it you might think this Christmas special isn’t gonna be Christmassy, because the Titanic sailed in June [sic]... so is it Christmassy?
COLLINSON: "It's jam-packed with Christmas -- it's full of it! So it does feel very much in the spirit of all our other specials. It’d have to be really, on Christmas Day -- I think it would be odd if they were basking on the beach somewhere, y'know! I'm a traditionalist, I think you've got a bit of Christmas about it, a bit of snow somewhere and some tinsel and some angels and a Christmas tree thrown in there and a bit of Santa Claus, and we've got all of that.
"It's Christmassy because it's not the real Titanic. It's a spaceship that's full of aliens and is hovering above Earth and they're doing a bit of an experience cruise to the planet Earth, basically, so they've built their spaceship to be a replica of a famous Earth ship. And they beam down onto the planet secretly and have a little look round and stuff so... yes, it's their Christmas cruise and they're celebrating an earth Christmas. It's a theme cruise."
In your tone meetings you have key phrases you use to sum things up -- what’s the key phrase for this one?
"I think the phrase Russell used for this was 'disaster movie' and that's really what it is: all's not good on the spaceship Titanic. It runs into dangerous waters -- or airspace, or whatever you like to call it."

I'm very suprised, well it does explain the fact that it's in space rather than earth, yet how are they gonna pull this off!? I'll just have to wait. sweatdrop

When one of "The Hosts" takes it's halo off and throws it at Astrid, then she deflects it to the Doctor and he deflects it xd It's like those disc things in tron.
