“Always open for an idea. Being on foot is totally worthless. I doubt they just pick up and move. An airship or something would be more likely. We should stop and think for a bit. Besides, your choice of clothing or our choice of location rather might just kill you.” Isaac took his jacket off and sat on a rock. “I imagine they’d have to get more supplies from somewhere. If they’re self-sustaining then this’ll be even harder.”

Rainer bit back a retort when Armine commented on her clothing. He was a senior SeeD, even though he was half a decade younger and only higher in rank by one. Rainer contemplated ripping her pants; after all, she had three other pairs just like it. She then decided against it. She had to look presentable! Sighing inaudibly, Rainer dropped unceremoniously onto the ground. Her pants were so dusty and dirty it didn't really matter if they got more dirty. Rainer stretched her legs out in front of her and tried to relax, letting her eyes drift closed and her braided hair swinging slightly in the small breeze, sweeping in the dirt. "So we should probably go to the nearest town or city," Rainer said, eyes still closed. Her brows furrowed in concentration as she thought. "Well, that would be Deling, I suppose..."

(All of my posts are so short in comparison… crying )
"Well, then, that was fast. Let's go." Isaac stood up and held his hand out so he could help Rainer up. "Sometimes we seem so distant. I thought we were supposed to be partners, at least for this."

||OoC: Oh it's okay! biggrin I'm just always making stuff up to try and fill up my post... habit, I guess. sweatdrop ||
Groaning inwardly, Rainer opened her green eyes to see Armine standing over her with his hand out. She hesitated before taking it and letting him help her up. However, the instant she was up, Rainer let go, looking away. "Should we get walking, then?" she asked, still not looking at him. He was her partner, but she didn't really know how to act around him. He was younger and it had been a while since she had spent time alone with a man.

Isaac sighed, “Yes, I suppose we should.” He slung his jacket over his shoulder and looked to her. ”It’s so weird having superiority over someone who’s older. Especially since I’m so young. I should still be a rookie.” He turned back to where they were headed and closed his eyes as he walked.

Rainer followed Armine in silence as they headed northeast toward Deling. Her mind raced as they neared Deling, though she knew they wouldn't get there until the next day. They had been dropped off by Esthar Garden at the Winhill bluffs, where they stayed at Winhill for a day. They had been traveling ever since, and it had been five days. Rainer longed for a soft bed and a nice shower. As the partners walked, Rainer's mind wandered to Armine, as did her green eyes. He was only eighteen and he was at SeeD rank twenty-two. Rainer sighed. She would have to work a lot harder. Rainer noted Armine's nice red hair that contrasted with her own black hair. Frowning slightly, Rainer said, "Your hair is so red. Did you dye it?"

Isaac snapped back into reality, “Eh? Wha? Oh, actually it’s completely natural. It’s always been a mystery to me on why.” He had his head twisted back and was bending backwards so he could see her better. His own green eyes focusing on her’s for a moment.

Rainer felt a bit uncomfortable as he bent back to look her in the eyes. However, she fought back the urge to look away. She had always been shy around boys... Pushing that thought away, Rainer raised a confident brow. "A mystery? What do you mean a mystery? None of your family has red hair?" Rainer tugged at her own black hair, the braid brushing the back of her thighs occasionally. It felt dirty and oily and Rainer longed to wash it.

Isaac could feel Rainer’s uneasiness. And was used to that kind of answer too. “No, actually. My father has brown hair and my mother has black. That’s why it’s a mystery.” "We'll have to stay in Deiling for a while to see if anyone's seen the Balamb and to restock. At least we'll get a break for a bit."

Mimi strolled through the slightly crowded walkways of Balamb garden. Making her way to the front gate, she stopped and stretched. With a sigh, she glanced around. Seeing that the entry gates weren't being watched, she jumped the guardrail and began walking towards the steps that led up the main building of Balamb.
The stairs that usually ended on some rocky point were shut off with a six-foot gate, probably to prevent anyone from falling off while the facility was moving. With a sigh, Mimi climbed up onto a terrace and jumped for the gate. Using the chain links as foot-holds, she climbed to the top and sat down on the flat metal that connected the two gates which closed to block off the entryway.
Looking down, she watched the grass and numerous rocks pass by. Balamb was moving steadily, but unless one were to look outside, like Mimi was at the moment, they wouldn't have noticed a thing. Watching the rings above spin, Mimi gripped the edge of the gate's platform as Balamb Garden slowed to a stop. Looking to the east, she noted that they had stopped next to a rather ominous looking patch of woods.
With a groan and a few whirs, the rings slowed and the garden settled down with a heavy thud that rustled through the wild grass for miles. Mimi sighed and leaned forward from her perch. She was supposed to be watching the gate today, but hardly anyone ever found the garden. If only the headmaster would keep it in one place - the idiot - then maybe people would find the garden . . .

"And you don't know if your grandparents had red hair?" Rainer tilted her head to the side. Her nervousness was starting to wear off as she thought about the red head mystery. Rainer's mouth broke into a small smile at that thought. That's a good one, she thought. Red head mystery. She shook her head slightly and thought of the situation at hand. Deling was still a day away, Balamb was off Hyne knows where, and Armine didn't know why he had red hair. Again, Rainer smiled. "But anyways," Rainer said before Armine could answer, "How are you such a high level of SeeD when you're only eighteen?"

“I don’t believe I’ve ever met my grandparents…” Isaac muttered to himself. “My SeeD level is so high because I’ve been training for the SeeDs since I was three. Which means that the even higher ranks must be invincible, and too good to be bothered by a mission like this. Searching for a mobile fortress or something in the middle of nowhere… I shouldn’t talk like that though…”

"Since you were three?" Rainer's voice sounded incredulous. Sighing, Rainer said, "And I thought training since I was twelve was bad." She shook her head at Armine, mouth tilting into a hesitant smile. "I don't mind if you talk like that. I won't go reporting you or anything..." The gunblade at her right side started to feel heavy. Placing her left, dominant, hand on the slightly worn hilt, Rainer furrowed her brows. "In fact, I kinda feel the same way..." Her eyes darkened slightly at the thought. Some of those higher level SeeDs were lazy and worked only sometimes. Rainer shook her head. It wouldn't do to get angry or jealous.

"Thanks. Though all of my training has kept me devoid of making friends. So I have very few. Four fighting arts and twelve weaponry formations with advanced classes of academic knowledge is hard and time consuming. Who knew?" Isaac stopped, feeling he was rambling and revealing too much too fast.

Rainer's eyebrows furrowed. No friends? Well, that sucked. She herself hadn't made too many friends. She was either training, in the library, training... Rainer was about to reply when Armine stopped talking. His hesitation about speaking to her openly made her slightly more nervous. She didn't say anything to offend him, right? "Well, I guess you didn't know," Rainer said, trying to fill the silence. "But look where it got you: eighteen and rank twenty-two."
