Yeah, Sam and I got a lot closer too. I wasn't expecting him to be so accepting. It was a good surprise.

Better then my mom. She started pileing on all the endless guilt trips about how much she worried about the wellfare of my soul because I was sinning. My dad wouldn't even talk to me...

This is quite hard to say... one reason being we dont know your bro, and so when we're saying stuff, we need to be careful not to judge him and at the same time, not hurt your feelings :/ This is quite a confuzzling situation

Well, I don't know your brother, so I suppose the most relevant thing I can say is that I feel that, in general, there is nothing wrong with men wanting to become women. I can also say however, that I certainly understand why his wanting to become a women would upset you. Your reaction makes sense.

Okay, I don't know your brother, but I do know a lot of trans people. And there is a prejudice problem within the queer community itself against them. That queers can be so wary of genderqueers -- when they face so many of the same difficulties in society -- really upsets me. I'd say to try to be supportive. Being freaked out at trans people is no different from being freaked out at gay people. None of us like homophobia, and no trans person likes transphobia.

sheba_beba true...my brother just told me if he ever found out that i was gay /bi he wouldnt claim me or talk to me ever again..(havent told him yet) Thats so mean to say...and like he keeps telling me that if im gay im going to hell and what not.. but if thats true wouldnt every gay/bi/ lesbain person be dead by now i think god knew the out come of love.... Think about it this way. If we're all going to hell, why would **im sorry for all you religious people** "god" have created us then? Thats my argument to all religious people who hate. Its like if your 'god' created everything, he creates us and he creates us GAY/LESBIAN/BI. Nuff said.

sheba_beba Thats really low why cant they just be understanding about it? Because they're uptight, selfrightous and more concerned about what members of their congergation will think of them then they are their own son.
