Aww thanks so much for the cute little picture heart That was really kind of you. *click saves*
But I think these are actually quite better than your first. This time you gave them expressions (I take it you were testing them out and thats great!) Expressions are some of the hardest things to do. Thats what gives a character... well character x3.
Just keep practising! Practise makes perfect. 3nodding I too am practising. Im trying to learn how to draw Ratatouille (I wanna see the movie) but I love Disney's style so im just sketchng things here and there sweatdrop . I know practise has helped me...
*Ill keep poking my head in here every now and then.* biggrin

I'd say it's a pretty good start. Question tho... do you want to keep your art simple or get a little more detailed?
If you'd like to add more to it, you could always play around with shading. It's a nice touch to pics and gives a more 3D appearance.
That's about all I have as I'm horrible at this type of stuff as I can't draw all that well.

I have to say it's alright being your first time and all.
My god i remember when I first started drawing, and then when I wanted to forget it, my friends and i found one of the drawings... needless to say I was horrified.
But anyways, experimenting with different styles always helps you achieve your own style, well that is how it worked for me anyways. Even drawing anime characters from pics for a while helps you learn new poses and positions. One thing I find difficult even today is hands.. not my strong point at all. But with this being your first piece, it's good to start from there, learn things that can be changed to make it looks better. Make sure to work on one thing at a time, usually start with the hardest thing you find to do and work your way up to the easiest things. 3nodding You'll get better with practice either way. I've been drawing for 4 years now, though I stopped drawing for almost a year which allowed me to rust away.. so if you look at the "Draw the person above you" thread in this subforum.. you'll see that my drawing still suck... I stopped practicing for a while sweatdrop
P.S. sorry for that long ramble. sweatdrop I do that some times.

try using colored pencils! 3nodding i use them and it brings out some character to the drawing, and you don't have to worry about shading AS much because you used color! for shadind i usually just use a colored pencil a shade darker than the base color i'm shading 3nodding
