The clothed stallion was odd like that about endearments of any sort. He just wasn't used to such things and they made him rather uncomfortable. Watching as the mare just dug herself in deeper, he sat there silent until she could right her words on her own. "It's alright. Just don't do it again." He said simply, shrugging and fluttering his wings once again.
Eyes narrowing as her muscles tensed up, he shifted where he lay, head tilting as he watched her with a bit more interest. So she had noticed his brief flit of madness. Well then. He let a smirk curve his lips once again. At least she had the sense to be wary now.
"Is something the matter?" He asked with an almost innocent look, though the smirk he had upon his lips and the lazy look in his eyes took away any trace of innocence that might be in the question.

She nodded, blushing deep red. Why were most of these Soquili so different from her? Maybe her two-legger could compile a list of words that have different meanings around here. Yes, that would definately help. But too late for that now.

Her eyes widened when he spoke to her. "U-Uh, n-no not at all...just a l-little..." She paused wracking her brain for the right word. "Put o-out of my element." She said. "W-Word usage is so different here." She admitted, as if that wasn't obvious. "S'like we speak t-two different l-languages...but w-we really don't in m-most respects." The mare decided to elaborate. Should she leave? Run? Could she even turn her back on him safely? These questions would have to be mulled over later, becuase right now she had to keep her mind sharp and in the moment. At least he wasn't a kalona.

It wasn't the meaning of the word so much as the fact that it was said to him. Krad hadn't experienced much in the way of affection or endearments. Such things were an alien concept to him, one he didn't understand and thus got hostile and irritated about.
Eyes narrowing as she started to stutter rather badly, he realized that he frightened her. Or at the very least made her nervious. And as much as that dismayed some small part of him, another part was glad. This mare should be wary of everyone, and he was no exception. Especially him. "Is not everyone put out of their element, as you put it, when faced with a new situation?" He questioned, head tilting slightly. A moment later, his muscles tensed as he hauled himself to his feet with a grunt. It might very well spook the young mare away, but Krad was getting tired of laying. He had a search to continue. Maybe if the mare didn't bolt, she could help him, stay around and chat with him. Intelligent conversation helped keep him sane...usually. And she was nothing if not intelligent.
Giving a snort after he was on his feet, he suddenly shook himself to dislodge any bits of leaves or such that might have stuck to his clothing or in his hair. Feathered wings flopped open slightly as golden hair and white cloth flicked about with his shaking. The cross at the end of his mane landed on his back and he snorted and twitched his shoulders, letting it fall back to hang just above the ground once more. Never mind that he must have looked absurd shaking himself like that. It was the only way he knew of to rid himself of annoying things such as bits of grass and twigs and the like. Stretching his wings out before folding them back neatly completed the odd process and he glanced at her to see if she was still there, ears perked forward curiously.

"A-Aye...t-tha's a righ' good point." She agreed, backing up a few paces and keeping a keen eye on him as he rose to his feet. She didn't think much of the odd shaking motion, her father had done it all the time when he got debris on his pelt. Her father was rather narcissistic and chauvinistic. She was quite used to being pushed around by males and only once did she ever encounter a male who had done otherwise. So this was definately a learning curve for her, to try and pinpoint how a male would act.

It certainly was a useful bit of information to have. Still something about Krad seemed a bit off. She had no idea what it was yet, but her stomach was churning slightly. That could also have been from her conversational blunders. Either way, it seemed she was in for a long day.

Blinking, he tilted an ear back in surprise. "Huh." Was all he said at seeing Flower still standing there. He thought she'd have been smarter than stay there since she seemed to be rather uneasy and spooky around him. But in the same thought, Krad was glad she'd stayed. Her company was a welcome change from the usual day he'd have.
He paced closer and lowered his head to look her in the eye, ear still tilted back. "You're still here." He said softly, his surprise heard easily in his voice despite his effort to sound otherwise. Maybe she would be willing to help him, since the mare seemed to have nothing better to do at the moment.

Flower took a hesitant step back to broaden the space between them. "O-Oh!" She exclaimed. "I-I'm sorry...I-I'll uh, just b-be on my way t-then." She said, ears lowering slightly in apprehension. She assumed he meant, 'go away'. The mare would be more than happy to oblige. No, she didn't have anything better to do. In fact, her two-legger told her not to come home until she had at least one conversation. Evil woman. But, that was enough of a conversation for her, unless of course he bade her stay. Sure, he may be mad but...maybe he wasn't a dangerous mad? Hold on a second, all males are dangerous...everyone is dangerous until proven otherwise. Yes, and she'd stick to that. He didn't have sharp teeth and horns, nor fins but that didn't lower him on the possibly-snap-and-kill-you metre.

"I would rather you stay." He said, head tilting as he backed up a few paces, putting space between them. "You are the first intelligent conversation I've have for a long while." Krad explained, tail flicking a bit. Sure he was mad, dangerous mad on some days. But not today. No. If he hadn't attacked and chased her off by now, it was a slim chance he would do so anytime soon.

Flower smiled softly. "O-Okay." She said, blushing a bit as he complimented her. "I-I know it's r-r-rather h-hard to find at times." She agreed. She seemed to relax visibly, as he put a bit more space betwene them. She wasn't quite ready for such close contact, not just from him but from anyone. But he was being rather plesant, so perhaps today would go a lot better than she had originally thought.

Giving a snort of what could be taken as laughter, he nodded his head in agreement. "It is a very hard thing to find, for me at least. The others that I share living quarters are....not quite so interested in conversation with me." Krad snorted and tossed his head, the long lock of hair hanging over his forehead flicking about before settling again. "Of course, I just arrived reciently, so I don't quite blame them really." He added, one ear tilting back as he mused on that a moment, frowing slightly.

He blinked back to present and eyed the small mare, ears perking slightly as she relaxed. That was good. Krad certaintly didn't need Flower to continue to be nervious around him. It made him just a bit twitchy, which was never a good thing at all. Sighing, he ruffled his wings and glanced about, eyes narrowing slightly. "Would you perhaps like to help me with something?" He questioned, glancing down at the small mare, head tilting slightly as a curious look passed over his face.

"I-I'm sorry to h-hear that." She said, referring to his lack of conversation with those he lived with. The mare thought it wise not to ask about where he came from, as that was quite personal information. She didn't really like talking about where she grew up, at least with adults who wouldn't be satisfied with a glossed over story. This was all the more reason to not broach the topic.

Flower tilted her head at his next question. She had no idea what she could possibly do for this stallion. "I-I'd be more t-than h-happy to help you in any way I-I possibly can." She said with a genuine, and soft smile.

Snorting softly, his ears flicked back briefly before perking once more, giving a shrug. He was getting rather used to the concept of not being able to converse with anyone. It would be no different from the time before he came here. At least here, in this strange land, Krad had a clean slate, so to speak. It was a very wise decision for Flower not to ask about the white clothed stallion's origins, his memories of which were rather...unkind.

Lips curving in a slight smirk, he lowered his head until he was at eye level with her, still keeping his distance. After all, the small mare hadn't been too comfortable when he'd come near before, so he had no reason to believe that she would be more at ease now. "I am...looking for someone. You look like you know the area, favorite places of gathering. Perhaps you could help me look for him?" His head tilted slightly, ears still perked. "We have, shall we say, some important matters to discuss." Krad added after a moment of thought, golden eyes narrowing briefly and wings fluttering slightly before he blinked and looked at the mare curiously once more.

The mare listened to his proposition and smiled softly. Her eyes lit with understanding. His momentary expression left her wondering what kind of meeting it was to be. But of course that was none of her business. Surely this person he sought wouldn't be dangerous, or at the very least wouldn't come after her. She figured Krad could easily tend to himself, but against a full sized Soquili or worse, a kalona or skinwalker, she was pretty much dead if they chose to harm her.

She pushed those thoughts out of her mind and nodded. "Of c-course. I-I'd be glad to h-help you. What k-kind of Soquili a-are we looking for?" She asked brightly. She had a few ideas as to where to start looking but more information would most definately make it a lot easier.

It wasn't the one he searched for who could be considered the dangerous one. He just didn't see his dark counterpart being dangerous to anyone except himself. In any case, as odd and cracked as Krad may be, he wouldn't have allowed the small mare to come to any harm. He did, after all, have some honor left to him.

Smiling faintly, he nodded and lifted his head back up, glancing about. "One like me...but not like me." He said, voice turning distant for a moment before refocusing as he flicked his ears slightly. "Wings like I do, but black instead. His hair is tangled and dark purple in color and he wears bronze colored cloth across his shoulders and back. Perhaps you have seen him about somewhere before?" Krad's ears perked forward, curious and slightly hopeful.

Flower nodded and dawned a slightly pensive look. "I h-haven't had the c-chance to meet very many S-S-Soquili a-and this stallion of which you s-speak doesn't ring a b-bell." She admitted softly, ears going back at a forty-five degree angle for a few moments as she tried to think of the Soquili she had met and if they had mentioned such a creature. "No, I-I'm positive I don't know anything about h-him. But if you'd still like an extra set of e-eyes I-I'd be more than h-happy to help i-in any way I c-can." The mare replied, her tail flicking, a smile on her face.
