Savanna watched the stallion in the crazy costume as he talked about his own home. She could almost see the horses and colors that he saw; feel the breeze in her mane as she ran through the surf and valleys.
With a soft and playful smile, the mare tossed her mane, "You can do that here.... running through the surf and through the mountain valleys.... we have both! And is sounds af if you have those who 'fly', in their own unique way....!"

Sibalto smiled as he though of his home land, as he spoke to this playful child of the sky. It was nice to talk about his home... "My mother was one of those... Those who could fly..." He faintly missed her, but knew she had long forgotten him, and probably had a dozen other colts to keep her company... It was, the way of their world... The way of the school... He had met many of the mares of his friends, and they barely recognized their son's names... It was sad... But this world.. In this world families were close... Siblings... Mothers, aunts, sires... Everyone running about in the same area... One day he would have a family.. And he would raise them... And he would not forget their names. "Does the Lady Savanna have a family and a piece of land to call her own?" He asked. "A nest perhaps?"

Savanna rolled her head in humor. "I would not 'nest'... birds nest; and while I have the wings like one, I am not as such. As such, you lack the wings of a bird.... do you burrow?" the mare laughed.
"Family.... I do somewhere, but I left them long ago," she leaned back and scratched her ear with a well-placed hoof. "I don't even remember why. I've been on my own for as far back as I remember. And as for a home; I believe I mentioned before. The sky is my home, and as long as I have access to the currents of the air I will be happy." Savanna lifted her head and grinned mischievously, "And have you settled, Newcomer-to-our-land-of-mystery? Found someone you can have your own family with; a place to call your own and live happy?"

Smirking at her humor, Sibalto bowed his neck and gouged at the ground with a steel-shod hoof, cutting into thick black dirt. He shook his head, shooting her a mournful look. "Alas, My Lady... I fail at digging a burrow..." He grinned. "But yes, I have found a Lady who pledged her life to me, as I pledged mine to her.... We have tried for a family, but so far..." His face softened, saddened. "We have had no luck.. The Spirits have not been so kind as to give us a family..."

Savanna threw her head up with a laugh, "Then you must try harder, Sir Sttranger! Night and day, breakfast and dinner. In fact, what are you doing here? You should be with her." The mare winked playfully. "The Spirits help those who help themselves. It will happen, you just cannot give up hope."

"Sibalto please." He offered as he listened to her ideas. He could not help but chuckle.. At first, he had thought she was telling him to work harder at burrowing... But... Well... In the next breath it was proved that was not where her mind was at, at all... He laughed. "I thank you for the advice, Savanna... And I shall bring it up to my Lady directly, though I am not quite sure she will be pleased that you have volunteered the idea..." He gave a wink and a grin. "Personally, I like the idea..."

Savanna whinnied in humor as Sibalto played along with the advice. "Well, then... what are you doing wrong? She should be happy that you might suggest such a thing, don't you think?"
The mare siddled close, letting the soft feathers of he wings brush against the stallion's side. "You must tell her how much you care for her, and how deep your love lies," Savanna said in a low, seductious voice. "And show her things that she only dreams about, and explain to her how you cannot live without her wonderous presense." As she spoke, she circled around him. Her tossled mane hid her eyes as she -quite funnily- tried to gracefully swish her bobbed tail.

Sibalto smiled, arching a brow at her. "Doing wrong? Nothing as far as I know... But the Lady Firefly is one for long gallops through a dappled forest... Or wades in the cool of lakes or the river... Lazy afternoons... It is not always about..." He wiggled his brows, chuckling and whickering wickedly. The trace of soft flight feathers down his sides made his skin jump... He watched her flirtatious ways with a smile. She was quite a fetching creature and if -IF- he had not had such a lady mare as his mate already... He would consider flirting heavily with this mare.

Savanna saw that her actions were going unwarranted... sure, she felt his skin leap... but he was obviously devote to this 'Firefly'. Good, the mare thought that loyalty was a very commending quality in a stallion.
With a final nudge, Savanna took a step back. "Sounds romantic! So what do you have planned for tonight?"

Sibalto chuckled at the thought of this avidly interested Winged MatchMaker he had suddenly acquired. He wasn't quite sure when it had happened, but he fiercely enjoyed Savanna's company, support, and kindness. "I was planning to take my Lady on a Moonlit Walk tonight... And then perhaps a swim.." He replied dutifully..

"Oooo," Savanna coo-ed. "The midnight walk sounds good. Maybe a feast set up on the beach. Some greens, ferns, berries, and leaves.... Maybe a source for fresh cool mountain water."
The mare drolled on and on. She had to pause though, "Wait awhile before swimming after eating, of course. Cramps would definately damper the mood!"

He considered her list of treats with interest, smiling and nodding as she listed things. At her mention of swimming and eating, and her words of caution, Sibalto let out a whinny of laughter. "The Lady has an excellant point... Forgive me for being so forthright Savanna, but I would be most honored if you allowed me to call you friend. You are perhaps the most wonderful of mares I have met for quite some time..."

Savanna gave Sibalto a strange look, it was wary but kind. "Friend is okay, but don't expect anything beyond that. I will not get between you and your Lady!" Her voice chided. "But friendship, I could always have more friends. When you travel so much, it is always nice to have someone to talk to along your travels, ya know?"

Sibalto whickered a laugh. "My Lady, you have no hope of comming between myself and my love. I am all too sure of that. You are certainly a lovely friend, but nothing could make me stray from my mate...." He nodded. "I would be most happy to hear of your travels, Lady Savanna."

The mare snorted. She thought of a response, but didn't want the moment to get too awkward... so let the comment pass by.
"My travels?" Savanna nibbled her bottom lip in thought. "What do you mean? I've been around, but.... only in the area. I haven't gone far, for whie I could there are unknowns out there.... things that even I wouldn't dare to venture. There is a fine line between curiousity and just plainly asking for trouble." Of course, her definition of 'in the area' was fairly large when it came to distance.
