Franz folded his arms across his chest, and gave a glower at the pilot before leaning back, his body hanging out over the empty air. He turned his head, and spat, letting it fall out into the void before pulling hiumself up into a sitting position with his legs.

"Vernunft is greatly overrated. Especially in gunners. Anyone who runs towards schlacht in a time of danger, und seeks to make themself a target must be insane, ja? Und as for why I sit like this, it keeps others from sitting next to me. I like mine privacy."

Helena swallowed hard, the more he leaned out the more she could imagine him falling to a horrible death. "Mmf...Yes...privacy." she nodded faintly and turned back to look at Mark. "erm, yes hello, I was going to come and speak to you earlier...but I suppose you've saved me the trouble." she smiled slightly, then cast another worrisome side long glance at Franz. No, she wouldn’t get used to that she decided.

Dash reached into his waist coat pocket and pulled out a battered copper pocket watch, rubbing its face with his thumb as he examined it. Half past three. About time to make rounds, I guess. He stretched out and gave a long, groaning yawn, leaning back in his chair until it creaked and protested under his weight before thudding back on to the deck with his booted feet. He stood and shook himself, lifting his hat to smooth his short crop of dark hair before replacing it back on top of his head. He didn't see a burning need to make his rounds about the ship, there was little chance of a maliscious stowaway since he had checked the entire vessel from stem to stern prior to take off, but he was professional, and he was hired to do a job, and he would be damned if he wasn't going to do it.
As he strolled past he railing and adjoining gut wrenching drop into nothing he flicked the butt of his cigar out into space, not bothering to watch as it fell throught he air. Scratching the small of his back and adjusting the short, bulky length of the sawed off shotgun secreted there he began sauntering down the deck, seemingly non chalont altho a carefull observer could see his quick glances as he keapt a weathered eye out.
As he rounded the bow he caught sight of Franz's precarious perch and let out a laugh, yelling over the slight engine sound to the dangling gunner.
"Franz, mein gut herr, vas machts du ous immer jetz? Du soll am das luftboot bleiben, du furuckt junge."

Franz turned, and laughed back at the man. He gripped the rail in both hands, sliding his legs out from where they held him in the rail, and let go with his hands as his boots hit the deck. He stretched, looking the bulky man over. "Ja, und next your want will be burping me after meals and cleaning up after me, eh?"

Franz gave Dash a very rude gesture. "Und I sprechen Sie Englisch, though with your language being so foul to speak, I can see why you'd sprechen Sie Deutsch. Though I'm wondering, did deine Mutter teach you to sprechen Sie Deutsch in der Bordell where she was working?"

OOC: Ugh. Yeah. I totally don't know German. I'll try to pepper his dialogue with it, but that's all I got.

((Oh, sorry. No prob, Dash said "Franz, my good man, what are you doing out there? You should keep you feet solidly on the boat, crazy boy." Or something to that effect. To tell the truth my German isn't that hot either.))

Dash's smile was calm, genial, almost friendly as he looked down at Franz. His motion was almost imperceptible. Fluid. Cat like. With one swift motion Dash sweapt him up by his collar, his boots dangling an inch above the deck as they looked eye to eye. His grip was like iron and he leaned right into Franz's face, his tone dischordantly cheery as he said.
"Where I learned to speak is none of your business, "
As he spoke a shadow seemed to cross over his face, as of half recalled images and snatches of memory.
"And if you happen to mention my mother again you'll find yourself a sight farther out from the ship than you were a moment ago, and with out anything holding you up either."
With that he gave Franz a wink, the normaly freindly gesture turned by the circumstances into the direst of threats before dropping him with unceremoniously back onto the deck of the ship.

((Er...do you mind if we play multiple charachters?))

Franz smiled, and let himself fall, twisting his body around and slamming onto the deck before turning his entire body violently, his legs sliding around behind Dash's left knee and hooking his ankle before Dash's right lower leg, the whole of his body weight sliding along them as he used his legs to pull himself around in a calculated move that would either require Dash to lock his legs, forcing him to stand still as Franz use him for support, or, as it was designed to do, violently throw his left leg forward whilest pulling his right leg back, unbalancing the larger man so he'd fall over.

"Don't threaten me, freund. In order to heave me off the ship your having to catch me first. Und like you I am a trained killer. Unlike you, since I'll be a target to die already, I have nothing to lose in not defending myself so I can kill you, ja? Also, stop being such a whiner, mine mother was die Dirne and she was good people."

(For further reference, since my entire german vocabulary consists of saying 'Where's the bathroom' and 'don't shoot' When Helena's speaking german it'll be in italics.)

Cheshire watched open mouthed for a moment before rolling her eyes up and Walking closer "Stop acting like silly school boys and have some dignity" she hissed at them both, arms crossed. "I'm embarrassed of you both." she went on, concentrating on Dash mostly, he was supposed to be her body guard why was he getting into a pointless argument with the gunner? She tapped a booted foot on the floor "Now separate or I'll put you both in a corner" Helena's lip quirked into a sort of smirk before she moved away to sit watching them. Knowing full well in that idiotic testosterone high state they probably wouldn't listen to her.

((Go right ahead Dash))

Mark tried his best to avoid the quarrels of the guard and gunner, and instead devoted his attention (or what was left of it) to Helena.
"Well, in that case I'm glad I have spared you that trouble. Although maybe it would be best we went inside - much less wind and quarrlesome chaps."

((Rats, I am SO sorry, I just moved out of my parents house and lost my notebook for a while, but I got it back now so I can post again.))

Franz's leg slammed into the back of Dash's, sending the larger man reeling as he attempted to lift his foot and avoid the blow. He was spun around by the impact and would have fallen had he not rammed shoulder first into the railing and caught his weight on his left hand, pulling himself upright. He was about to draw the combat knife secreted in his sleeve and lunge at the smirking german when Helena's clear voice rang out over the melee.

He straightened, seething, and shot Franz a venomous glance, his mind analyzing the situation. He's faster than I am, but I can tell from his hit that I'm stronger. In a fist fight it'd probably be pretty evenly matched. But I have one critical advantage. He's under estimated me. A small, grim smile lit his features as he recalled his opponant's words. 'I am a trained killer. I can kill you, ja?' I could be his father. I was hunting down bounty heads when he was pulling at his mother's apron strings.

Dash tugged his waistcoat violently to straighten it as he marched straight backed to his employer's side. He considered a parting shot at Franz but discarded the idea. He was a professional. He bowed quickly to Helena and said.
"I am truly sorry, ma'am. I acted out of place." be fore pulling up a deck chair and seating himself.

Franz watched the other man move off, and then put his hands under himself, using them for the first time since the fight had started to push himself off the deck. He looked over at where the bigger man was sitting, and shrugged his shoulders around.

"Dignity? No, I don't have any of that. But I am more than glad to stop if perhaps everyone would stop feeling they must sprechen Sie Deutsch to the German. Everywhere I go people feel the need to talk in my language, as if the fact I'm trying my best not to is an invitation."

Franz righted his jacket and straightened his hat. He ran a finger around the bullets at his belt. Finding none missing, he nodded to himself, and took his perch on the railling again. He pulled a letter from one of the pockets of his coat, and began to read it again.

Helena rolled her eyes upwards, going back to lounging on the deck chair.

"It makes more sense to speak to you in German since one: you seem more comfortable in the language and two, you keep slipping German words into your speech so it would be easier for US as well to not have to translate between the two languages. I'm so sorry you have a problem with our logic."

She responded cooly, turning to look back at Mark and Dash.

Franz grunted, and responded whilst still looking over his letter. "The reason I keep saying German words is because I have little knowledge of your language. It is not easy to remember all these new words, especially when everyone ignores you trying, and insists on speaking German around you."

Franz grunted, and put the letter away. "It would seem to me that not speaking German is the only way to solve all these problems und you are going for a short-term solution to a long-term problem. So ja, I have a problem with that logic. Do you have a problem with the logic of speaking to me in Sie Englisch so I can build up a wortschatz, benefitting everyone instead of your own short-term solution that helps only you?"

Frnaz grunted. "Und I don't see how you speaking German to me will help with you translating, because I am certainly not going to stop speaking in Sie Englisch. A big flaw in that plan right there."

She rolled her eyes upward as if asking for patience before giving an exasperated sort of sigh.

"Yes, yes, fine, whatever you desire, I will speak no German to you at all. Ever."

Helena rolled her shoulders to get rid of the tenseness, running a pale hand through witchy red locks. The exploerer thought quietly back to jsut how many cigarettes she had left in her bag in the room, hoping now she'd have enough to get her through this God-forsaken trip to The states.
