Shiori blinked, "But that's awful!" she cried, hugging Kisala tighter, "I at least knew a bit of what I was getting myself into. But..." she smiled a little bit, "If you need any help or anything...well, really, I've been trying to find children 'sala's age for her to play with anyhow."
She pulled out a pencil and paper from the bag with one hand, the other clamped tightly around the toddler in her arms. Slowly, she wrote out some numbers and letters, "Here's my phone number and address. That way you can contact me anytime."
She scrawled out the name 'Shiori Tonbo' underneath it, "Oh! I haven't even.." she blushed, "I'm Shiori Tonbo of the Order of the Dragon from the Peridot Clan."
She knew the whole title meant nothing to him, but somehow introducing herself with it made her feel better-- a sort of connection to her home, "And this is Kisala, though I think I've already mentioned that somewhere in our conversation."

Devon's smile appeared, lopsided and grateful as he accepted the slip of paper. "Thanks. I mean, I won't be a pain in the neck or anything but it'll be good for him to hang out with someone who's not an inker." He looked down at the paper, absently noting her penmanship and the way her name was spelled. Ignacio made a grab for it and Devon quickly moved it out of the way, tucking it in his back pocket. Then he reached over to a little stack of business cards on his shelf, slipped one off the top, and handed it to her. "And I'm Devon Garcia," he answered. "Everything's on the card there except this guy's name. He's Ignacio and I think he's got enough manners to not bite your girl. I hope."

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. I'm pretty sure she'd just bite back and laugh."
She bowed respectfully, "But I think I'd better get her home now. She's dangerously interested in the needles, and I don't know how much longer I can keep her away from them."
Kisala demonstrated this by making one last attempt to push past her mother's arms and grab at the shinies, but Shiori managed to pull her back before she got any of them, "But do call anytime. As long as I'm not at the Temple, I don't really do much other than keeping her out of trouble, so you can come by whenever."

"I'll still call first, though." Reaching up, Devon tried to pull away the teething ring and only earned an indignant squeal for his effort. "Um, I have to owe you for this ring, too," he added. "Iggy's loving it."
The ring safely left in his grasp, Ignacio once more turned his attention to the other child and her guardian. He gummed in silence for a moment and then, pulling it away, babbled something that was obviously his way of saying 'thank you.' Then he blew another raspberry and waved the ring at them both.
Devon laughed under his breath. "So thanks again." He struggled up to his feet and offered a hand for a quick shake. "I'll be sure to call and we can put them in a pen or something. Let 'em work off energy."

She laughed, "Like I said, I think Kisala's got all of hers. I've a few more of those at home, so when you stop by you can have them too."
She bowed again and waved, "I'll see you, then." And with that, she left, shuffling Kisala to her other hip on the way.
