Xion just disappeared. He was nowhere to be seen, nowhere to be found. He then appeared behind her, and pushed her to the ground. He pinned her arms and legs to the ground and held a knife to her neck. "You answer my questions first. What do you want?" He was a little angry right now, but then again, he WAS evil.

Xion smirked a little bit, "Jeez, I didn't know that pretending to get captured would make her leave so easily." He smiled a little bit and walked back over to the bench he was on. He layed down and then yawned.

Chance was carrying a large bag filled to the breaking point with stuff across the town square in Lapiz Luzi. This had been her home for almost seven years and now she was a teacher at the school there. She sighed, still baffled at how she had made it in Lapiz Luzi. She had heard that the guards here were not welcoming of outsiders, especially outsiders from Brook Shire. She was one of the few lucky ones that somehow made it in past the guards.

She let out a sigh as she set her stuff down for a moment near a small shop. She started to rub her shoulders, or at least the parts she could reach. Finally, after a few minutes she stood and slung the bag back over her shoulders and started walking towards the school, wondering if the guards had ever found out that she was from Brookshire. It was a little late for that now, but oh well.

She stopped suddenly, feeling eyes on her and glanced around. She saw a man sitting on the fountain and arched an eyebrow. I've never seen him here before... she though, wondering how he had managed to get past the guards. She bit her lip for a moment, she hadn't quiet made it to the fountain yet, and she debated if she wanted to walk past the man. Finally she took a deep breath and continued walking, trying her best not to draw anymore attention to herself as she walked past. There was something about him that made a chill run down her spine and she wanted to leave his presence as soon as possible.

Chance had been almost to the other side of the town square when she heard something like an explosion, or something of the sort. She turned to see what was once a house and the man she had seen from earlier standing in the debris. She watched the guards attack him and saw that he didn't seem to be bleeding. She narrowed her eyes, trying to figure out what he was. Obviously he was not a mortal, that much she could tell, but what he truly was, she couldn't quite tell either. She set her stuff down, still watching the guards try and kill him. Her sword appeared in her hand and she leaned on it, as if it was a walking stick and waited silently, as the guards seemed to be fighting a no with battle.

Chance couldn't help but stare at this man. He seemed extremely powerful, at least compared to the guards he did. She arched an eyebrow as he a few guards seemed to die suddenly and she could almost feel their souls leave their body. She watched until the man had disappeared and even then she still stared. This was surprising, not something that she had expected to see, at least not in Lapiz Luzi. She watched the guards as they assessed their conditions and sighed, turning away. Her sword was still in her hand and she slung the pack back over her shoulders. The guards seemed to be able to take care of themselves right now, so the wouldn't offer help. She was still puzzled about the man. Clearly he wasn't a force to be reckoned with. She bent slightly under the weight of her pack for a moment and then straightened up, heading the direction she had originally been going.

The young boy hid out of the views of everyone or slipped into the crowd. But his eyes were always wide. But not with fear because he had just ran passed the guards, but how 'alive' he felt in such a long time. As his breathing soon became regular and he began to calm, his feeling of being 'alive' also disappeared aloung with the excitment. He let out a sigh and sat on a bench in the town square to think of what to do next without getting into more trouble.

As he heard the explosion and the fire and screams he nearly jumped up to turn and see, but he knew that the guards would also be there. He looked as though he was ready to leave the bench as quickly as he could like a runner waiting for the pistol shot. He was unusually calm right then and there but was still incredibly tense as he waited carefully in case the guards wouldn't bother to come up to him or anyting like the sort.
