"Laser screwdriver, who'd have sonic?"
Is it just me or is anyone else starting to really like the Master?
I know he's all evil and the enemy of the doctor but he is strangely likeable....maybe I'm just falling for the Saxon charm. sweatdrop

That, and the fact that he seemed to start acting a wee bit like the doctor a few times.

Shangri-La` Cherry_23 dalek technology!! someone said the master was master of the daleks and then i was confused... crying hes in the old episodes but i hardly ever watch them
He isn't the Master of the Daleks, that's Davros. :]
But it's gonna be the Daleks almost definantly. because there ISN'T an ending without Daleks. And it would Break the Doctor's heart" if he knew what they were. So Daleks.
HOW WILL THE DOCTOR BECOME YOUNG AGAIN? He isn't going to regerate. He'll probably just reverse the polarity of the laserdriver, as always. But isn't he gonna start eating people soon? D:youre clever. I am not. silly me. it makes sense now biggrin thank youuuuuuuuuuu heart

The only annoying thing is that Russel made them CAMP. Timelords are meant to be serious, not "Yay! You go sister" And crappy things like that.

i agree that it was one of the better episodes ive seen in ages! so much in it, and it was just a bridge episode. there was so much in it that linked to old series, which was nice. and i did giggle at the tellytubbies bit XD clangers anyone?
the doctor needs some magic and a good moisturiser to get out of this one.

Cherry_23 True smile but even the master must have a weakness... next to the doctor he doesnt seem as strong... =/ Thing is the Dr's dealt with the darkness of his past and kinda accepted it unlike the master (come on, you all saw the bit when he was like DEAD!? about the timelords... denial. talk2hand ) so he just gone crazy pirate (which makes him weak by the way...)

It was an incredibly good episode, I really loved the master. Do feel a tad guilty though, cos when the master gassed all those people, it made me laugh cos he was just so darn funny while doing it. I heart the jelly baby bit and all the Torchwood mentions. Buuuuuut....(there's always a but, isn't there.) I really, really hated the bluntness of the episode. That whole montage thing of Gallifrey was awful! I always kinda felt that the you weren't supposed to really know what happened in the Doctor's past, just make your own mind up based on a few subtle hints, but then they go and show it? It just didn't work for me. Also when Jack as good as told Martha that he fancied the Doctor. I mean, yeah, sure, we all knew he did, but it was better when we were just speculating and noticing little things from other episodes. And before I forget, it was incredibly predictable episode. Great story line though.
Ok, rant over.

[Ramek] Didn't anyone realise? That wasn't david. that was the guy who played old lazarus. guess they ran out of budget for the make-up department. Actually, looking at the pics (I haven't seen the episode yet, I've only just got back from being on stage on the last night of the play), it IS David under all the prosthetics. Look at his eyes. And don't forget what we saw him like in The Family Of Blood under old age prosthetics.
