Well, if anyone wants to beat it the hard way, I suggest you take Kuhn and Pi with you, and use Beast Awakening as well. Basically it'll just be one horrible beatdown for ol' Doppey.

I just kept healing my party with items until the Morale Gauge was full, and then used the Awakening (Demon in Volume 1 and Plasma Blade in Volume 2). XD Took about three Awakenings, and he was defeated.

The cheap trick doesn't work on him in Vol.3 as effectively anymore, as well as, Sleipnir also appears to do nothing. Probably fixed due to the easiness of it, I assume.
Can you believe a person can solo their Doppelgänger? I do it all the time for a cheap thrill. I plan on getting a video of it for those that don't believe me, though, I can't say I can do it in Vol.1 or Vol.2.
When I first fought it in Vol.1, I was expecting a hardcore, epic, intense, adrenaline pumping, awesome battle! However, I was greeted with a piece of trash fight after on Awakening. I was so disappointed.
Pssst . . . need assistance for the Redemption version?

I think your forgetting the vol.3 reward for beating him...
Its DG-0 remember...
They still look just like DG-X but there all black but the blade is still yellow
And what about Other Self (doppelganger armor) and Shadow (doppelganger accsesory)

does the doppelganger normaly get HP back when it hits you?

i hate it when the doppelganger changes his weapon right when your using a skill stressed but i never knew about the weapons and stuff so thank you very much for the guide! Do you have any ideas on how to make him not change his weapon when your using a skill? i usually change my weapon manually or use the same weapon skill do you have any other ideas?
