I love and have watched two animes most people have probably never heard of... (they never really got out in America)
Ginga Densetsu Weed and Ginga Nagareboshi Gin.
Both literally mean... Silver Fang Legend Weed and Shooting Star legend Gin.
Shooting Star Legend Gin is the first series which was made somewhere in the 60's or 70's dubbed one of the most violent cartoons in japanese animation at that time. Weed on the other hand is fairly new (2005) and is about the son of Gin. All of the main characters are dogs and are packs that live to fight for their paradise (Ohu). These dogs are Ohu soldiers and are famous for thier courage throughout the world on both series.
Both are bloody and have quite a bit of cursing so its not recomended (though at times it looks cute) for the little people out there. But both are my FAVORITE out of all animes probably b/c I love dogs so much.
