"...oops."
"Yeah!" Polly said, a bit disappointed that the hug was over, but glad to spew about his new friend, "May called us over 'cos she lit him and she didn' know what was goin' on when his smoke went all wubbedy and then he went poof!"
"Oi..."

Ment's eyes went large and his mouth opened to speak. He grabbed Tango's by the shirt and started to shake him, "WHY ARE YOU MEAN!?!?"
He preceeded to shake the boy hard as he yelled in a high pitch whine, "MANGO'S AREN'T MEAN. THEY'RE SWEET. WHY ARE YOU MEAN?? DID YOU GET A ROCK IN YOU?"

Tango shot Polly a shocked look and had been about to ask the boy what he thought he was doing, but the action was caught short as he felt two hands grab his shirt. Emerald eyes moved to shoot a glare at the boy but was instantly stopped as he was shook.
The boys words weren’t even heard as blood beat in his eardrums and he came to realize he was going to end up with a headache very shortly courtesy of one very peppermint smelling boy. The smell did not help with the nausea he felt building up.
“S-stop!” May shouted looking franticly between the two boys. “He’ll be nice! Won’t he?!”
Tango would have shot May a glare if it had been possible, but at the moment he was too busy trying to figure out which of the three Ments in front of him was the real one.

"MENT, STOP!" Polly shrieked and wrapped his arms around Ment's waist, tugging, "YOU'LL HURT HIM!" He didn't like seeing his friends hurt his friends. Not at all.
"HEY!" Carrie yelped suddenly, "LET'S JUST ALL TAKE A CHILL PILL, OKAY?!" Her voice was oddly powerful for a girl so unusually quiet.
Polly stopped abruptly and looked up at her, eyes wide.

Arius pouted, jutting his lower lip out and crimson eyes going impossibly wide as he took her hand. "Iffen I have to...but I figured he was smart enough to find me all on his own, y'see." Of course he was lying through his teeth, but that was just his way, after all.
Farlest on the other hand, was still looking for his lost youngling. Spotting the group of Scents and their guardians on the way back, he headed in that direction. Arius was usually where the commotion was.
"Uhm...pardon me." He called, "But have any of you seen a little dark-haired boy with red eyes?" Holding out his hand to indicate height, he grinned sheepishly. Oh yes...fantastic parent he made.

"Yes, well sometimes parents aren't that smart. Can't give them credit for everything you know." Olivia joked, clasping his hand and taking him outside to where everyone else is.
Ment was grabbed by Polly and pulled back from Tango, who's shirt was still in his grasp. "Let go of me! He's not sweet! Mango's are supposed to be sweet!" He cried, looking up to Polly with tear filled eyes.

May swore she heard another voice, it was muffled in her mind, however as she lacked the needed attention to answer the man’s questions. The whole lot of her attention was poured out into the chaos that was taking place before her. Ment was trying to kill her son for not being sweet, Polly was trying to stop Ment from killing her son, and Carrie was yelling. Really, the stranger’s words were nothing but a hum in the back of her mind and she didn’t even bother to spare him a second glance.
Tango having had enough of being shaken and the boy’s cries of him not being sweet was thankful for Polly pulling the boy slightly away. Sure enough a dull throb started in the back of his head and he could feel it grow and intensify with each passing breath. Great, just great.
It was only when the other child had turned to Polly with his exclamations did Tango slowly pry Ment’s hands from his shirt. Honestly speaking, he was surprised at the child’s tears over the situation. It didn’t seem that big of a deal to him. So what if he’d rather lay down in the sun and take a nap rather then hop all around like the two…boys?... before him enjoyed doing.
His eyes narrowed slightly towards Ment as a heavy sigh escaped his lips as if he couldn’t be bothered with such a thing. “Hey.” He spoke, once more his voice sharp this time tinted with demand. “Don’t yell at him because of it.” A hand ran through his hair not entirely sure what else to do. He certainly didn’t want to deal with a crying child, but he couldn’t let said crying child bother the other boy. Walking around and closer to Polly he reached out a hand and gently tapped the boy in the back of the head twice in a pathetic means of showing affection. He turned his head away from the bubble gum boy as his eyes rolled slightly, a small smirk on his face.
Almost instantly however, the smirk disappeared as he awaited the next assault from the other kid. He could only hope May pulled him away before then. Suddenly shopping around with the woman didn’t seem so bad after all…Oi. His headache was getting worse.

Polly giggled slightly and smiled at the odd display of affection and swayed a little back and forth.
"He can be however he wants, Ment. Right, Mo...mmy?"
Carrie was staring in something like horror at the man that had come asking about his son.
"I...uh..." and she abruptly turned and headed away, eyes to the ground, not wanting the others to see her cry.

Ari giggled at Olivia's joke, hiding behind her a bit as he was dragged outside. He could see that his parent was there already, but was keen on seeing just how long it would take Far to actually notice his wayward scent. Because then there would be trouble. "Yessm. Sometimes mine trips over his own feet." He confided in a conspiratory fashion.
And suffice to say that for the moment...Farlest was distracted. Being an empath, as he was, he could key in to more than just facial expressions, and he'd somehow upset the young woman with the pink-haired...boy was it? "Uhm...Miss?" He took a step in her direction, reaching out a hand, not just going to drop it...if he'd done something then he wanted to apologize.

Carrie ignored the concerned voice and picked up speed, beginning to speed-walk and then burst into an all-out run into the nearest alleyway she could find, leaning agisnt a wall and gnawing on a knuckle.
"I think my Mommy's sad again..."

"Probably because he was stolen..." Olivia chimed in as she stood in the doorway, Arius behind her. She leaned up against it, looking at May with a dissapointed look. "I thought of it for a moment before Arius came running into the store to hide..."
"He was stolen!" Ment gasped, mock fainting into Polly out fo sheer melodramatic horror.
Olivia rolled her eyes at him, noting Polly as she saw him. "You escape your mother too?" She asked him, as Carrie had run off into an alley to escape the pressure of the group.

Polly giggled and caught Ment, immediately torn from his concern.
"Mmhm. He was. Oh! No, 'Livia. My mommy's over there." He pointed with an arm not currently supporting Ment.

Arius wrinkled his nose, peering out around Olivia before escaping her grasp and trotting over to the other Scents. The dark-haired boy eyed them for a moment before selecting Polly to inflict himself upon. "Seems like my daddy is going to check on your mommy..." He stated, before grinning widely, "Hi! M'Arius! And you're pretty!" Without further ado, he gave the strange little boy a hug and planted a kiss on his cheek, using another hand still to muss the 'fainted' Ment's hair. He remembered him, and thus was allowed (in his opinion) to do such.
Farlest maneuvered cautiously around the brick wall, stepping into the alleyway and watching the distressed Carrie. "I'm sorry if I upset you..." He said quietly, "Because I seem to have done so, though...I have to admit I'm completely baffled as to how."

May who had moved from her spot to grab Tango in a desperate attempt to leave, stopped as she heard Olivia’s voice. Wide chocolate brown eyes shot a look in the woman’s direction as fear pumped through her veins. She knew. She knew. Faintly she mused that Adrian had probably told her despite him saying he wouldn’t. She gulped and felt a sting in her eyes. However she wasn’t sure if it was induced from fear or guilt.
Tango, who had assumed May would have ran after Carrie seeing the other run off, was shocked to see her coming towards him. He knew he was stolen, but he didn’t know it was here. From this spot. If he had, he was sure he wouldn’t have stopped for a rest. He enjoyed teasing his ‘mother’ but he wouldn’t have gone that far. Besides, it would have saved him a headache.
He watched as the annoying child fainted into Polly’s grasp and he shot the boy a worried look, not bothering to glare or respond with his usual coldness. He could feel a sarcastic ‘Hey thanks’ build up in his throat as the boy confirmed May’s theft but pushed it back.
Casting his emerald eyes on May he scoffed his foot on the ground for a second before taking off in a short run to her side. It was only with a side forward step after that, that he was standing in front of her protectively. Idly his mind mused that it would probably look funny to any random observer, a little boy standing protectively in front of a grown woman. But at the moment it didn’t seem to matter much as he shot Olivia a glare, almost daring her to come anywhere near May.
It wasn’t long after did he realize his actions stood to get the woman in question and himself in even more trouble then they already were.

Polly gave a startled "Oh!" and let go of ment, hands flying up to his lips. His cheeks turned a brilliant shade of scarlet, making his freckles stand out tenfold.
Carrie, however, was not in such a good mood. Her head snapped up toward the man, and she said nothing, simply glaring. She hadn't asked him to come with her, and so what right did he have to follow?
