"Well..." Atreyu paused and then twitched his tail as if to shrug. "There is Rudolf but he's busy at the moment and then there's Kai....the 'unoffcial knight' of the group. I guess it's just the four of us buuut more will come once we can get this place to shine!"

"Right! There's only one way to start." Jumping up he walked over to one of the unstacked boxes. "Just start." Opening the box he sniffed at the contents. "Hey, look what I found!" Tipping the box over, brightly colored pillows with gold tasseled corners tumbled softly out. "Seats."

Atreyu looked at the pillows and nodded his approval.
"Those will look great! Well, let's start tearing these boxes apart!"
Atreyu turned to the stack of boxes he had been laying on and growled at them.
"Prepare yourself boxes because here I come!!" He launched himself at the boxes and knocked them over and stuck his head in the one closest to him. "Hey... I found some blankets and..." He stuck his head in another box. "and... hm... it looks like they're streamers." He pulled some out and began to run around the room with them in his mouth

Batting at a streamer, Ivan pounced on another box and stuck his paw in- and promptly pulled it back out. "Yipes!" He jumped back as a rather large helmet covered in points rolled out. "Neat!" He pulled it onto his head, but it fell over his eyes and he tipped over. "Oof! It's too big and heavy." He pulled his head out and shook. "Would you like it Atreyu?"

Atreyu dropped the streamers he carried in his mouth and stared at the helmet. He smirked and padded lightly towards it. Leaning down and pushing his head in it, he raised his head and let out a low howl. It actually fit.
"This thing is amazing..." He shook it off and let it fall to the ground with a loud clatter. He pawed it to a safe corner and turned back to look at Ivan. "Well, let's continue then!" He lunged at another box and jumped back quickly as it wobbled and toppled over; revealing tons of old, dusty dog costumes that someone must have stuck in here. He laughed and shook his head, pawing at some of them.

(No worries- better late than never and it's not too late)
Ivan smiled as Atreyu tried on the helmet. "Cool." About to tip over another box, he paused at the sight of the costumes. "What? Do you expect me to wear those...?" He whined, ears flat. Spotting a cloak, his ears perked back up. Sniffing it he wriggled under and slipped his head through the knot. He ran around the room laughing as the over-sized cloak billowed behind. "I call this." He yipped, forgetting his former distaste for the costumes.

Atreyu laughed as he watched the young pup run around with the cape.
"We'll keep these and if anyone wants to dress up, they have every right to." Atreyu pushed the box aside with his paw and sat down, looking around for another box to pounce on. Though, watching Ivan running around and knowing that Kai and Rudolf were out there somewhere made him feel at ease. "This place is almost like having a real family...." He said aloud without meaning to.

"Almost a real family?" Ivan bounced over next to Atreyu, ears twitching. "You mean you can have a fake family? Is that what you have?" He cocked his head, poking Atreyu with a paw. "Is that what you are? My fake big brother?"

Atreyu shook his head.
"No not a fake family but... a family that doesn't fit you quite right." He paused trying to think of how to explain. "I kind of felt like an outsider in my pack but now, now I know I can laugh and be happy and have fun. So this is a real family because I fit in and I hope you fit in too Sir Ivan."
Atreyu looked at Ivan and nodded his head. "I'm not your fake big brother; just your big brother I guess. Are you understanding?"

Narrowing his eyes in thought, Ivan shook his head. "Maybe. If I'm thinking right... I can always find another pack, but I can't find another you. You're my big brother now, and not a fake one. If I don't fit in, I'll still fit with you. That's what's real to me." He jumped up onto his hind legs and licked Atreyu's nose. "Brother's are always real." Ivan spun a single circle, happy with his new big brother... even if he couldn't understand everything he said.

Atreyu listened intently to Ivan talking and then nodded his head, though he did twitch his tail.
"Well you kind of got it but yes, even if you decided to go to another family or pack, I'll always be your big brother because brothers stick by each others sides...." At Ivan's lick, he laughed and shook his head; watching Ivan spin. "Heh...someone has a lot of energy." Atreyu rose to his paws again and trotted over to another box which he bagan to play with; not really knocking it over yet. "In the end, maybe one day we'll have a whole, giant family here."

Followed him. "A giant family! With lots of knights! No damsels." He shook his head in annoyance, but peeked back at the door a moment. "Well, maybe Raisa can join. She's brave, and nice." He said half to himself. "But no whiny damsels." He stated firmly.

"Yes, with lots of knights and friends too; don't forget friends." Atreyu laughed at Ivan's statement. "No damsels? But we're knights! We must rescue damsels in distress!" Atreyu stated dramatically, shaking his head. "Don't worry, I cannot stand damsels much less a whiny one and if you want Raisa here...all you have to do is call her name. She'll hear you."Atreyu said with a nod. He turned to the box and pushed it over. There was nothing but a few frisbees and a small red ball that bounced out and rolled to Ivan.

"I know we have to rescue damsels," Ivan rolled his eyes. "but that doesn't mean we have to keep them here and watch them all the- ball!" He pounced on the ball, growling and swatting it. However, he soon tripped on his cape, the ball rolling out of sight. Shaking his head Ivan looked around, then turned back to Atreyu. "Yeah, I like Raisa. She'd like it here, but we should finish cleaning. Make it presentable for a lady." He finished as though he had never stopped, trotting over to another box.

"Trust me, we won't watch them at all. We rescue them and let them go about their way. It's the best policy." He shook his head as he watched the ball disappear. "Well, if we're going to clean for a lady, we might as well get to it! There are only a few more boxes that need to be opened but I'll push the boxes that we've been through to the side and start dusting." Atreyu said, almost sneezing at the thought of it.
