"Oh, fine," Twilight pouted, letting the tail go. Without anything to play with, he was quickly bored. There wasn't much to do in a tree. He'd initially climbed it to get a better look at the sky, but it wasn't night yet and the constellations hadn't reappeared. All he could do was wait for Ness to finish, which he did as patiently as possible, but not without his share of fidgeting.
Finally, the job was done and he could move again. Grinning, he pulled away from the branch and stood on it carefully, toes cripping the sugary surface. "Awesome! I really owe you one, Ness." If she hadn't come along, he might have been stuck there forever. "I'll be fine now. Watch!"
And with that Twilight put his front paws together and dived off the branch. Even before he was airborne, his small wings started to beat. The result wasn't enough to levitate him, but it slowed his decent so that he wouldn't be hurt. On his way down, he decided to do one flip, head over heels, and managed to land on his feet without too much of a thump.
Finishing in a pose with his arms up, Twilight winked. "Well," he asked, slightly out of breath, "what did you think of that? Not bad for a 'stick' in the mud, eh?"

Ness let go of the tree and fluttered herself down as well. "Yeah. I am your hero now, right? Cuz.. I did totally save you." She flexed her eyebrows into an arch.
And, then posed all flirtatious like. "Yeah.. and... my man.. you can touch me all you want since we don't have to be afraid of you falling out of a tree... "
Then, she had another idea... Now that was something she hadn't done before. and might be fun...

"You are most definitely my hero," Twilight replied honestly. "I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come by and saved me. So thank you, Hero Ness." This was all said very seriously, but Twilight was bouncing from one foot to another while he spoke, as if trying to make sure his legs still worked. The grass crunched with each step, and bits of it stuck to his pads, but he didn't especially care.
Once his muscles were sufficiently worked out, he stopped bouncing and plopped down on the grass in front of Ness. "Oh? Does this mean I won't be distracting to you now?" he asked, twirling a single blade of grass in his paws. "In that case, what did you have in mind?"

Ness stood gazing at him. What were the chances that a pleasure seeking numa like her would find an equally pleasure seeking numa somewhere else. And by some miracle, they got along great; since a lot of people who are so alike sometimes butt heads.
She held onto one elbow, and the hand of the other rubbed her chin. "Well.... I dunno... I did have a small idea, but maybe you are just not numa enough to want to try it." She then shot her eyes a daring look at him.
She smirked happily. "But, you have pledged me as your hero... I feel... almost persuaded." She looked down at him with a mischevious grin and gave him a quick wink.

Twilight blinked at Ness. Why was she looking at him like that? Had he done something silly? While some silliness made life fun, too much was just... well, silly, and not something that Twilight was too fond of. Feeling somewhat embarrassed, and not quite sure why, he looked down.
Then, as she finally spoke, he looked up again. At least she was thinking about something fun. And a challenge, even! Smirking, Twilight planted his forepaws in the grass and stretched. "You doubt the bold and brave Twilight?" he asked, winking. "I mean, it takes some real skills to stay in a tree all day and night."
Finished with his stretch, he sat again, waving his tail slowly and letting it sway back and forth. "I thought heroes were supposed to make the pledges," he joked. "Though, if there's any way I can be your hero, by all means, let me know."
Whatever she had in mind was bound to be fun, and after being stuck in one place for so long, Twilight felt he could use all the fun he could get.

"I guess the real question is.. Would my idea be as much fun for you as it might be for me? Then again, thinking about these ideas I have.. they are so time consuming.. it could take all night even maybe..." She looked at him with a beconing tempting look.
"Twi, I would never make you be in a tree. You gotta think more like Ness. I prefer... challenges that violate one's personal space." She winked and made a fake kissy motion with her mouth at him. She walked up to him, running a finger from the bottom of his neck up to under his chin.

While Twilight liked playful chitchat as much as the next Numa, all of the beating around the bush was starting to get to him. He'd had enough greenery, he wanted fun! And if it lasted all night... well, that would be all the better, wouldn't it? Clearly Ness was a Numa after his own heart. Now if only they got on with it!
"Personal space?" he said airily. "I've never heard of such a thing." Shivering a bit as Ness stroked him, on an impulse he grabbed her wrist- gently, but quickly- and pulled her closer. "Was something like this what you had in mind, my hero? Or maybe..." Trailing off, he let his free paw drop, where it batted at the air, trying to find her tail.

Ness's eyes flinched just slightly when he grabbed her. Not because it hurt, but after all his sitting there, she was losing expectation that he might. Of course, he seemed so far to never disappoint her. She grinned wide.
With shining mischevious eyes, she leaned her head close towards his ears. "Well.. maybe I should take you to my playroom. I have much we can do. I have pimped my place our rather since the last time I had you over. It is made for a numa's pleasure. or .. a numa like me.. but you seem like a numa like me... It shouldn't be a stretch to think you'll like it too."
She swished her tail so it was easy to find, but she also withdrew her arm and turned around to lead the way.

At first, Twilight worried that Ness might be taken aback. But when she grinned, he did too. "A playroom?" he asked coyly. That did sound like fun- it even had the word play in it! Since they both seemed to have their priorities in order, Twilight got to his feet. "Well, we never know unless we try, do we?"
Still grinning, he followed close behind Ness. Close enough so that he could trail his paw in the lush fur of her tail, drawing spirals on the surface that reminded him of ripples in a pond. Certain mishaps aside, this was turning out to be a very pleasant day.

Making it to her house, she turned around in the doorway as she opened it.The first time Twilight had visited, it was a simple cottage. Nowadays, when you first came in, you walked into her human's part of the house. It was tall, and there was a kitchenette with a tall fridge, a huge freezer, a computer area, a tv area, and a ledge that branched out towards Ness's part of the house. And, on the ledge was her huge basket filled with lots of fluffy soft pillows.
Beyond that first room, there was a beaded doorway that opened into another part of her house that had two levels which were connected on one side with a spiral carpeted stairs, and the other side had a pole that went from the top half to the bottom half. The middle of the room had a big disco ball, and there were lots of light fixtures all around. The floor was much like a dance club quality floor, and there was a big stereo against the wall.
Up the stairs was a video game area with bean bag seats. That part of the room wasn't as lavish yet as the dancing area. She had been taking Twilight all around it. Showing him her sanctuary of fun. She walked up to him, and she walked a complete circle around him while running the tip of a claw gently through his fur close to his skin from his chest, around his shoulders and back to the front of his chest on the other side. Not one second breaking her eye contact with him. "But... before we can play ourselves into stupors; your fur is still kind of dirty twilight. It's sticky in some places. I think..." She stopped walking around him and walked right up close to his face. "We should do something about this. You let Ness give you a bath?"

Twilight was like a kid in a candy store. Or, having grown up in a candy land, a kid in a store selling something else that was totally new and amazing. While he certainly had a place to call his own, it was far simpler and lacked most if not all of the shiny appliances that he was staring at. For a moment his gaze lingered on the refrigerator, and he reached out to it, but then hesitated, as if he was doing something wrong. Catching himself, he kept his paws to himself and hurried after Ness. After all, if she had something more fun planned, he didn't want to get kicked out for doing something stupid.
The rest was even more spectacular, with fuzzy stuff on the floor and a big mirrored ball on the ceiling. "Wow," Twilight breathed, not knowing where to look. The effect of the room as a whole almost dazzled him into a daze. "This is seriously awesome, Ness!"
Then she touched him, and that snapped him out of it. "Huh? Oh, I guess." Truth was Twilight's fur was a bit sticky, and some dirt and grass had stuck to it in places. "A bath might not be a bad idea," he agreed amicably. After all, it would be hard for him to play and dance if he stuck to the floor. "Should I go outside? I should be able to find something."

Ness grew a huge smirk. There it was. "Oh no.. no, no, no.... none of that. You're at my house. Do you think when Ness grooms herself she goes outside?" She looked at him like he was missing a few marbles.
She tilted her head to the side tossing her hair out of her face. "You follow me... I know what just to do in fact." She walked back out into her human's portion. Her human wasn't around this weekend. Ness liked it when she was away. Time for her to do as she pleased. She rolled out a big half open barrel. She set it on the floor by a faucet on the wall.
Ness stood there and pumped some warm water in, also adding a touch of bubble bath that smelled like watermelons. She stood over the tub taking in a huge whiff of the aroma. It was sweet like candy, very pleasing to the senses. She then stuck a hand in the tub to work up the bubbles together with the water. Pretty soon the tub was filled almost a foot higher than the lip of the tub with white bubbles. "Ok. I need you to climb in here.. please..."

Momentarily embarrassed, Twilight quickly shook it off. "Well," he said airily, "probably not. But you're the hero, you have to show me how it's done."
In a way, Twilight was enjoying playing the damsel in distress. It was a role he'd never tried before, but it had its share of perks. If nothing else, he was learning a lot. And more importantly, having a bunch of new kinds of fun. Fortunately, Ness was doing a great part in her role, so Twilight could just play along.
The tub took him by surprise. It looked like a giant cup. Big enough for him to fit in. That seemed to be the idea, he was thinking, when it started to fill with water and some sweet smelling syrup. His eyes widened further when the bubbles started to appear. "It's like a waterfall! How come they don't fizz out?"
The questions were important, but not as intriguing as the tub full of suds. Twilight didn't have to be asked twice; as soon as Ness spoke the magic words he leaped into the bath, splashing bits of soapy water around, and knocking his kneecap against the rim. Wincing, he sank deeper into the tub. Jumping in there was different from jumping into a lake.
"Owww," he groaned, following it up with a far more relaxed "ahhhhh" sound. The warm water against his skin, moving his fur gently, was soothing. "That feels nice!"

Ness turned off the faucet and scooted over behind where he was sitting against the back of the tub. "Oh Twilight... today is going to be such a day or two of fun." She started to massage the tips of her paws into his shoulder and work it out. After a while of doing that, she took some of the water and bubbles and was washing around in his fur.
But, then Ness got a twinkle in her eye as she thought of something fun. She scooped up in her paw a big pile of bubbles and tried to shape them into a weird looking crown. Then, she said in a play mock voice, "Yo, I'm twilight.. and I am the king of fun and bubbles!" Then, she giggled away.

"Mmmmm," Twilight murmured, letting out a breath he hadn't known he was holding in. Being in water was hardly a new sensation, but the rivers and streams were always cold, or at least refreshingly cool. This was relaxingly warm, and he felt his stiff muscles starting to loosen up, aided my Ness's gentle massaging.
The bubbles too were new and interesting playthings. Intrigued by them, Twilight batted a small mountain of them with his paw, and was surprised when only some of them popped, and the rest seemed to bend under the pressure. And some seemed to wind up on his head. Amused, Twilight raised his eyebrows. "Am I the king? I thought it was usually the heroes who were royalty."
Grinning, he took a pile of suds and reached up the put them on Ness's head. "Though," he added, "you should probably have a cape. But that's more Gracie's thing than mine. And I don't think you could make one out of this fizzy stuff!"
