Naeryn
I like the song Standing Outside The Fire. Not sure who it's by, but I know it's a country song.

Life is not fight
It is merely survive
If you're standing outside the fire...

that song gets to me cause i used to be a coward and "stand outside the fire" so to speak.

but the one that i realllly like is nothing else matters, by metallica. you wouldnt guess its heavy metal by the opening.

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters

i like Tim McGraw, "Live Like You Were Dyin'"

My Old Friend is so much better

I also like Audience of one, and Alone by Sanctus Real and Six foot town by Big & Rich
oooh....love all those!....I listen to like ALL kinds of music

...Did Madonna write that, or just sing it? Just wondering..
i don't know, but i wouldn't be surprised if she wrote it. she is a college grad from U of Michigan, which is a pretty decent university. she actually hates being called Marterial Girl because the song is sarcasic and most people don't pick up on that. like Police's Every Step You Take.

No one was born to be a slave
Seek out the past and place the blame
Tell me the color of the rain
No one was born to be a master
Within the land, we live, we die
Praise the oneness, praise the lie
To find the web around the faker
We will need a true rainmaker

Children of Able, Children of Cain
Can live in harmony without the shame
The key that I grant thee, the sacred land
Are dry desert sand in the palm of your hand
Without the water, the wisdom of past
Shall run through your fingers, forgotten so fast
Thus now as I leave you, I am truely blind
This blindness, this blessing
The hope of mankind

'Power of One', Sonata Arctica.
