Avoid confrontation at all cost and flee for the staircase was Yuki's main opjective right now. She quickly avoided any detection by hiding in what little shadows there were in the basement. But she knew that she wouldn't make it out alive. She gave up, she was going to fight anyways. She leaped out of the shadows with both her fists held up high and took a stance where she stood. "You are Zenmaru, the giant of the Ugu clan if I am correct?" she asked with a disgruntled voice. "I am here to...challenge your clan's fighting ability," she was obviously lying through her teeth, whether Zenmaru could tell or not would depend all on him.

".. To challenge my clan's fighting ability?" he repeated, rather amused at what the woman was saying. "And I have a special title? And it is 'the giant of the Ugu clan'?" His just gathered frown changed then as he brought on a smile. This was ridiculous. Of all the clans in Soul Society this lady picks one of the weakest ones?
"If you're doing this for honour you are not going to get much from battling me or my clan. Plus.. The Ugu clan isn't really known for battle prowess anymore. It hasn't been so for several hundred years." The man placed his right hand onto his zampakutou's hilt, plying it to the empty space beneath his left hand. Slowly he shifted his grasp to the upper piece of the hilt, near its parabola-shaped guard, to gain a better grip of it. ".. Has someone been spreading rumours about my clan, miss nameless?"

No answer was given from Yuki. She wanted to remain silent giving small clues would not be neccessary to find the scrolls and books that she needed to search for. Instead, she striked. She knew that even though she was smaller than Ugu, her power was about the same, if she could knock him out, she could begin her search again. Her first strike was quick as she shunpoed behind Zenmaru. It was aimed at the lower part of the spine, she was aware that Zenmaru could have easily dodged and countered so, she limited herself to this one attack for now.

A mean sounding 'thwump' sounded from his behind. 'It seems like all my opponents like to disappear and attack me from behind. Iba, this girl, those hollows.. Pheh. I need to think up of a counter to this 'magical' back stab.' He shifted his body forward, moving with the punch, and twisting his body around. Fully turned the man began to attack.
His massive arms brought up his zanpakutou. The sword was quickly swung down, in its normal fashion as it has in every other battle he has done, to smash downward at his shorter opponent. Today, though, a thought passed through his mind. "******** it," he said, fairly unhappy with how his tactics have been going for him in his past battles. "Taisha, Egeus!"
A slug fest. A painful, long, and dumb tests of constitution. He swerved his blade down toward his right and bent his knees. Quickly the man shifted his right foot toward his opponent's left side, shifting his whole weight with him, to allow for a mightier sword swing. His blade swung from the girl's left, swishing through the air with a vehemence vengeance bent on venomous velocity to cull the cow's skull.

She was quick and agile, the big blade and the size of Zenmaru put her at an advantage. Her size was only a mere 5'6 compared to Zenmaru's 7'0. She could easily move around his blade and arms since she wasn't equipped with her own zampakuto as of yet. Hakuda was the way to go until she was hit. She was a hakuda expert and from the looks of things already. Zenmaru was already finished. His attacks were far too slowly but they were precise which could be deadly. Yuki quickly lunged to the side landing on both her feet as she shuffled to the side of Zenmaru.

She then leaps into the air as she kicks forward aiming at the large triceps of Zenmaru. Afterwards, she spun quickly while still in the air with a roundhouse before landing and performing an elbow strike while her back faced Zenmaru. But she wasn't done as of yet, she spun around again and delivered a very power and quick right hand jab at Zenmaru's face. A knockout strike.

Ugu slipped his blade to his left and placed his left hand on the blade. Quickly he shifted his left foot back to prepare for his opponent. She came, quite quickly, with her feet and fists flying at him. His blade shifted to with her attacks, and his mind raced to figure out her follow up move. A quick strike up at his triceps, then a round house kick, then followed by two strikes supposedly aimed at him to finish him off. "Right," he said to the girl, as he blocked the numerous punches with the flat side of his blade.
Without pausing after the fist jab, he dived forward. With his whole body he rushed the girl, quite ready to attack her, as he moved to smash into her feline body. Instead of slamming his body into her, though, he raptured his blade downwards the girl. With both hand slipping to his shikai-released zanpakutou the 7'1 man made his strike, coupled with his full weight and full energy.
"My clan has no ability, woman," he said, spitting a small gob of yellow at the girl face. "I, and I alone, am the clan's strongest member." A growl came from his throat as he posed a question, "Sad, isn't it?"

Yuki was thinking that what Zenmaru said was only a lie. Something to divert her attention. Most of the powerful noble clans did this, first saying there clan has no special abilities or skills but secretly hide them and practice them so no one would figure it out. Yuki was a martial artist and a treasure hunter. She loved to find new techniques to practice and the Ugu's were the first on her list. She backflipped as the blade came at her. She landed on both feet. Her coordination was amazing for a shingami of her caliber but she was still hit. It didn't affect her as much however, she had taken hits before.

She wouldn't give up yet, she needed to knock Zenmaru out. She raced at him at first before pausing in her track to brush some dust off of her shoulder. "Whoops, I forgot I was in a battle.." she shook her head as he continued to dash forward at Zenmaru. She feinted a punch first before jumping into the air. Her vertical was amazing, she could have easily jumped right on Ugu's head. She kicked forward twice before flipping forward landing behind Ugu. She held her hands out forward and kicked back with both her feet like a horse would right at Zenmaru's buttox.

Bones creaked and cracked as the woman burst forward. His nose felt like it had been hit by a sledge hammer a thousand times over by her two kicks. The following strike, the one aimed at his back, slammed into his spine and caused a massive echoing 'crackle' that resounded through the room for the following minutes.
He fell forward onto his face. His large body bounced, shaking the ground beneath him, as he met the ground with his opponent's assistance. A thick pile of blackish-red blood began to form a puddle beneath the man's head, where the woman landed most of her hits. Zenmaru didn't move. 'This.. Is so sad. It's retarded,' he thought to himself as he laid there.
'This can't seriously be my limit, can it? I went head to head with Kimigahara for more than ten minutes. There I received wounds that would make most people vomit.. And I'm beaten by a girl's punches? What the hell is wrong with me? This cannot seriously be happening..' His bones creaked as he pushed himself up from the floor. "Okay," he began, rather angrily as he turned to face the woman who had just kicked him down. "You're tough, miss. After I beat you-- can we be friends?"
After asking that question he burst forward, leaning to his left with his sword trailing to his right. He moved past his opponent letting his blade trail along harmlessly till he was at her immediate left. He stamped his left foot and quickly swang his giant blade up at his opponent's oddly pronounced chest. "How about it?"

Again, no reply came from Yuki, she wanted to get this over with. "Maybe he really is telling the truth, he seems...so weak... even though he is called the giant of the Ugu Clan in the tavern..maybe their information was faulty. I won't know til I find out," she focused a bit of reiatsu into her palms as she clamped Zenmaru's zampakuto in between her hand.

"With each passing stroke, the percentage that the Ugu clan may not be what it was before is increasing..maybe..." She began to think as she pushed the blade up above her and charged it. She punched twice at the face of the monstrous 7'1er and then dropped down to perform two low kicks at his left shin.

He brought his blade back, shifting his arms in front of himself, to defend himself. The man quickly brought his arms into an 'X', bent his knees, and blocked the oncoming strikes. He swiftly slid his left hand onto the blade's sharp edge to draw a small sliver of blood. A slight amount of green reiatsu pulsed from his zanpakutou and fled onto his right hand. The energy seared into the flesh that had been hit, along with the cracked bones beneath it, to heal the bruises.
Few of the oncoming hits missed, but the first and last ones felt like they smashed a couple of bones. After another moment of receiving the blows he slid his left hand back onto his blade's hilt and went back to the offencive. This time, though, he tried a different tactic. He shifted his right elbow upwards and behind himself and brought his blade up along with it. Zenmaru pointed its sharp edge at his opponent's face and pushed Egeus forward.
He focused. He pressed his mind and body to follow his commands. No disobedience would be allowed. This was not a time to second guess himself. Nor was it time to lose himself to any straying thoughts.
The quick stab zeroed in on the little shinigami's eyes. Its focused aim would be easily perceived by anyone who had any training with a zanpakutou. A skilled eye would also see the zanpakutou that Ugu had swung possessed a lesser 'bite' that its predecessors. The focus, and the mindset, behind it though.. Was clear.
His blade was to be stabbed forward, toward his opponent's eyes, and no where else. Ugu's lime green eyes pierced the distance between himself and the girl. The clear whites in his eyes, which contrasted the bright lime that swam in it, looked on fiercely at his blade flew forward.
