Nikita chuckled awkwardly, and scratched at the bandages on his hands; this was about it, then. After the tour, there was only to see if Edward was willing to accept.
"So...will you t-take our offer?"
The nervous man hoped that he did; he didn't want to have to deal with yet another potential. And this would mean that he could lead the other out, and perhaps even relax for a little while.

Well, he figured, if I've already gone this far... He hadn't been expecting Nikita to ask (which was idiotic - of course he was going to ask), and his tongue tied up a bit when he tried to talk the first time. The second time (whoever said 'three times a charm"?) he managed to keep up the jaunty smile and accept.
"Yeah, yeah, I will."
He rocked a little bit back on his heels, and stuffed his hands down his pockets out of habit. Well, it wasn't like he could bring himself to say no anyways. And, well, he'd cross the bridge with Adeline when he came to it, if he ever did.

Nikita gave a sigh of relief at hearing that, and offered Edward a small - but real - smile. Most of his smiles were simply nervous, uncertain: that one was true. Even if it was fleeting.
"That's good."
That was it, then - they had another guardian.
"I, um...I'll contact you when the Sylph has been born...I could go ahead and assign an apartment for you, and you c-could start to move it early, if you'd like."

And just as he had stuck his hands in his pockets, Edward took them back out again, fiddling a little bit with his thumbs. "Could I? That'd be a real help, actually. I think I've over stayed my welcome where I'm at now." He chuckled a little, but more to break the uneasiness than the fact that he found real humor in the situation. "Thanks."

"If you don't mind this one..."
Nikita rummaged through his keychain, before pulling off one key and offering it to Edward; it was the key to this apartment. Divinity kept one coy, the guardian got the other: although once the Sylph got older, it might be a good idea to make more copies.

Edward took the offered key with a nod and a "thank you" and (briefly looking down at it to familiarize himself with it) stuck it in his pocket. "Um..." Edward fidgeted a little bit, possibly the slightest of a blush coloring his cheeks. "I really don't have that much to my name - enough to stuff in a bag, actually-" and he'd tried before, and succeeded, "I could be packed and back here in two-three hours. Or is that too soon for 'early'?"

Huh. Edward really must have outworn his welcome at his other place.
"Ah..no, that's fine."
As soon as the apartment was assigned, it was theirs - it was just a little strange that someone wanted to move in that early. But it wasn't any of Nikita's business, really.
"You're welcome to move in whenever you l-like, so that's alright."

And he really had. Not that he wanted to get into the details, but the old couple that ran the Sunnyside (silly name for a motel, it made him think of eggs every time he said it) would be more than happy to never see him on their doorstep again.
But, that was soon to be past, and Edward was glad for it. "Great! Thank you!" And, he supposed, that was it. "So, out is that way? Yeah?" He motioned in the direction of 'out', with the vague wave of his hand. "I think?"

"Ah...yes, that way."
Nikita followed out the door, locking it behind him with the spare key. Edward had been awfully excited...it still puzzled him a bit. So, he watched the man head towards the exit, his brow crinkled.
Huh.
((And that's the end of it~))
