First mentioned during the Second Doctor's time, very big in the Third Doctors era, and kept showing up now and then. It's cool that they've been in the new series!

First mentioned during the Second Doctor's time, very big in the Third Doctors era, and kept showing up now and then. It's cool that they've been in the new series!

Yeah, I know, but Enjou_Garyuu said they "brought U.N.I.T. back". Wouldn't that apply to the SECOND series of the new Doctor Who, not the third?

(Maybe even the first, if I'm remembering the Aliens of London / World War Three storyline correctly...)

They were mentioned in the aliens of london, and one of the head officers was eaten and replaced by the slitheen. and the office that harriet jones goes to in the christmas special was a unit building.
I think he is excited that they are getting involved once again.

Still i like that the writers are using the organisations and stories established in previous series. I helps make it feel more solid.
