Well, for profile work I would probably pay someone 10-30k per hour of work. So if it took someone 1/2 hour to do the coding and they were an expert then I'd probably pay them 15k... That's just a suggestion of course. I personally know how hard it can be to code in html and css, but I haven't yet learned about customizing Gaia profiles, so I'm not exactly sure how much they go for.

pfft.. css and html.. well many programmers and coders don't even consider those 2 things to be actual coding.. to them it's n00b stuff..

I agree with them.. it's nothing compared to a bunch of other stuff.. it's like cutting through warm butter.. though I normally don't like to bother with CSS.. I hate building from scratch.. annoys me.. it's easy but time consuming is all.. at least that's if you don't know what you're doing in the sense that you're just making everything up as you go..
