So, in other words, it wouldn't be too safe if unknowing guardians walked into some places. The ritual where the Sylph was brought to human form was incredibly dangerous - the ones binding them to human form remained locked in the room it took place it, until complete, so matter how long.
The slightest mistake, in those cases, could go very badly.
Nikita led Christian into the building he had chosen, now; the entryway was decent. Nothing special, but an alright place.
"This is one of our apartment buildings...we have some that are a little less quality then this, and some a little better."
He pulled a keychain out of his pocket then, retrieving a key off of it, and opening a door: they were still on the first floor, and this apartment didn't have any current residents.

He nodded quietly, and looked around the entryway. Nothing really stood out to him about this place, but his curiosity was perked about the research that went on here. He had a feeling that if he asked, though, Christian wasn't going to get any answers.
"Of course." He said, and looked around. "Is this where I'll be staying or is this just a general idea of what they look like?" Christian asked, watching Nikita open the door and waiting to be led through it.

"Well...there are lots of ap-apartments, so we could always get you a different one."
Nikita entered into the apartment, and stepped to the side as he waited for Christian to follow. The apartment was alright; it was clean, had basic furniture already in it...a very spacious kitchen, with a counter seperating it from the living room. All in all, a normal place.
"You d-don't have to pick this one, but if you do like it, we can assign this one to you..."

Christian looked around the apartment, and nodded a little, grinning a little. "It's... a lot better than my old place." He admitted, looking over at Nikita. "This apartment's fine." He said lightly, looking around again.
"Is it okay if we decorate?" He asked, not looking at Nikita and this time at the walls. His artistic mind demanded that no walls were white. ... Except maybe in the kid's room. But that's because he'd let them decorate. Christian hummed as he went into the living room, looking around.

"Yes, decorating is fine..."
Otherwise these apartments would all be rather plain. Nikita knew that his own had acquired a distinctive style all of its own over time - comfortable. That's what his place was.
Nikita followed quietly, letting Christian examine the rooms.
"If this ones alright, then I c-could go ahead and asign it to you. You could start moving in before the Sylph arrives, even."

Christian grinned a little, and nodded, looking over at Nikita. "That'd be great. Then things'll be set up before the kid gets here. ... To a point." Artistic freedom for the win. He turned, and tilted his head, watching him.
"So! What's left to see?" He asked curiously, reaching up and tugging gently on his ears. A habit that he'd dropped until recently. He gave Nikita a wide grin, trying to be friendly. The poor guy looked like he needed something.

Christian attempting to be friendly was a good thing, but it only took away a marginal amount of Nikita's nervousness; he was simply uncomfortable with people he didn't know. Or people in general, really.
Attempting to be friendly back, the man offered a hesitant smile at Christian, before faltering and speaking.
"Well...most places guardians aren't allowed. B-but there are some spots outside, with grills," nice little picnic spots, really - but he never spent much time there, "Other then that, this was all I really had to show..."
Unless the man wanted a general tour of the compound, anyway. But that would be rather boring - 'here's where they do bla-bla-bla research, and bla-bla-bla' - that sort of thing. And of course, he would only be able to show the builings to him; not the wokings.

He nodded and looked around the apartment, thinking for a minute. Then he looked over. "If you don't mind, actually, I'd like to start moving things into the apartment and decorating things a bit before the child gets here." He smiled. "I'm sure you understand."
Christian looked thoughtful, then, and tilted his head. "Do I get a key, or do the apartments lock themselves?" He wouldn't be surprised, this place seemed kind of... well, high tech?

"Oh! Yes, yes, of course."
Pulling a keychain out of his pocket, Nikita again rummaged through it before pulling a key off. Then, he offered it to Christian; there were always two copies of the apartments keys. One went to the guardian, one remained with Divinity.
"Here you are...Ah, I suppose if you need any help, or have any q-questions, come find me."

Christian nodded, and took the key, stowing it away in his pocket for later. He grinned and nodded to him. "I will." He promised, smiling at him. "I'll see you around, Nikita." He turned, and headed out, to go get a couple friends to help him move things in and decorate.
A kid. Yikes.
