Another sheepish grin graced his features as she pointed out his lack of foresight, nodding in agreement. Anything that required intelligence... well, he was rather lacking, in that department. He paused at her comment about the weather, shifting his weight from one hoof to another.
"Well, if it does rain, I promise to keep you dry," he stated with a nod to himself, speaking with almost comical seriousness and conviction- as if he were pledging his life to some subject of deathly importance. In a way- it was, to him- she was his first real friend, so he would make sure to take good care of her (the thought never crossed his mind that that sounded like something one would say about a pet).

"Good. You really wouldn't like me when I'm wet." The flutter preened casually at the curls that lay about her for a moment. Her mind wandering onto the subject of just how....absent minded this one was. He had no plans for going anywhere and yet he still wanted to adventure!
"We should be heading out then if we're going on an adventure. So...pick a direction and start walking." Her wings fluttered lazily as she lay upon his head. She wasn't sure where he would take her, but it might be interesting to see just what kind of trouble they'd get into.

The blissfully ignorant stallion completely overlooked the point of her statement, giving her what he hoped was a reassuring grin as he glanced up at her... or tried to, going slightly cross-eyed as he did. "I'm sure I'd like you just as much when you're wet as when you're dry, Missus Roxanne!" he grinned brightly. "You're my first friend, after all!"
Nodding in agreement at her command, he started out happily in what he decided would be a good direction to go for adventuring, careful to keep his head steady so she wouldn't fall off at his brisk walk.

"Bah. Of course you'd say that. Just wait, one day you'll catch me looking like a wet rat and you'll run away in horror." Roxanne's body shivered in disgust about that thought. Water.....being wet was no fun.
Her bright blue eyes scanned the scenery of the area around them as the stallion trotted along. The flutter kept her tail wound tightly around a piece of his mane. Hopefully that would keep her from falling off. If not, oh well. She did have wings after all.

He chuckled merrily at her insinuation, shaking his head before remembering that he had to keep it steady for her. "You're very pretty as you are right now Missus Roxanne, I have a hard time imagining you'd look any less pretty when you're wet." An oddly childish way of wording it, but since Nahuel was in no way eloquent with words, it was the best she'd get.
He was happier than he'd been in a long while- he finally had a companion outside of his family... he didn't mind that she was pint-sized... or that she'd belittled him already, despite the short time they'd known each other. "Is there anything in particular you like, Missus Roxanne? I mean, aside from being dry... like flower fields and the like?"

If Roxanne hadn't caught herself she might of blushed. But her cheeks were already pretty pink, so any insinuation otherwise she could easily brush off. "Yea...well....whatever." She turned her head to the side, eyes locking on a few flower patches that flitted by.
Roxanne's wings opened and closed slowly as the wind trickled along her body. "Shiny things I guess..." In all truth, Roxanne didn't have many favorite kinds of things. What she did like was what she mostly kept herself around, very little did she explore any other mediums of favoritism.

"Shiny stuff?" he grinned brightly, nodding his own head in agreement. He was often mesmerized by shiny things as well... actually, there were a large number of things he liked. Stopping to rack his brain for a moment, his face lit up with an even brighter grin after an idea struck him, the lopsided grin threatening to split his face as he abruptly changed directions, speeding into a gallop.
"I have the perfect idea then! You'll love it, I promise!" he called up to her, keeping his own glee reigned in (rather unsuccessfully), as he sped to their next destination. It was a place his father had taken his mother before, and he'd seen it only a couple times, but he was sure his new friend would appreciate it.

The little mare blinked as he started to speed off. Her wings forcefully fluttered as the air whipped around her. Thankful though that her tail was tight enough around his mane. "You better hope! Or I'll kick your butt for going so fast!"
Closing her eyes, she felt her curls lift up and take flight. Whipping behind her. A few times she was almost worried that her hair clip would come loose.

Hearing her bit of discomfort, he slowed his pace a little into a brisk trot rather than the sprinting gallop, but his excitement kept him from slowing any further. He was positive she'd like his surprise- maybe she'd tell him so, too!
Coming to a skidding halt on what appeared to be a rocky cliff face, he smiled up at her before gesturing with his nose out over the horizon. "Look there, Missus Roxanne."
Before them both was an endless expanse of sea, glittering brightly in the waning sunlight. The gleam was so intense in places that Nahuel had to shield his eyes a bit, but the glittering of the water was most certainly the shiniest thing that he could have thought to show her.
"Do you like it?" and suddenly he was a little uncertain, maybe even nervous and uneasy, shifting his weight from one foot to another.

She gave a small squeak as he came to a sudden stop. Bracing herself to keep from toppling over the front of his head.
Opening her eyes, she had to blink a few times as the sunlight glinted off the shiny surface of the sea. But once her eyes adjusted, she smiled. "It's really pretty Nahuel." Her wings started to open and close again with content as she watched the rolling waters crash against the surf.
The little flutter had never dared to venture towards the open waters. There were always gusts of winds that could probably have just swept her away from land. Or giant birds who would try to eat her. But with someone bigger here, she didn't have any fears about those things. For the moment.

His wide grin came back even brighter than before, and his joy was unfathomable as he heard her use his name for the first time. He heard the smile in her voice as well, even if he couldn't see it, and thanked his lucky stars he'd done something right, for once.
"You want to go closer?" he asked, already moving towards the sandy shore, although moving much slower than before. "I promise I'll keep you dry," he added with another lopsided grin.

"That's fine." But she had already noticed that he was moving down closer to the water. So any objection would probably be nothing more than a waste of time.
Watching carefully above her for the moment, she could see a few seagulls had started circling the shore. Their shadows touching the ground made her cringe for a second before she hunkered down into his man, trying to conceal her presence.

His steps faltered in confusion and surprise as he felt the small flutter crouch further into his thick mane, blinking a moment as he tried to decipher what exactly she was afraid of. Looking to both sides, and then up, his mouth opened in a soundless 'oh' as he spotted the gulls circling overhead.
Racking his brain for something reassuring to say, Nahuel settled for another bright grin (of course), and a confident statement of his own. "Don't worry, Missus Roxanne, I won't let the birds near you. They never come close to me anyway- I'm too big and clumsy, after all."

Apparently he had picked up on her weariness. But his words did ring a bell of truth. She kept a blue eye glued to the gulls for a moment before peeking her head out from between his bangs. "Good. I don't even want to think what it would be like to get snapped up by one of those wretched beasts."
Her tiny body shivered again as her mind played the scenario out in her mind like a black and white film. One that was set on repeat.

"I would save you if they did, so don't worry!" he grinned up at her, but frowned as he remembered the 'flying' part. He didn't have wings, so he wasn't sure he'd be able to. "Somehow..." he muttered, almost to himself as he pondered the question. Two of his herd members had wings, so one of them had to be able to help, right?
Shaking off those thoughts for now, he smiled again as he walked towards the water, wading into the cool depths as he inhaled the smell of the salt in the air, and wrinkled his nose. He never did understand why the ocean was salty while the water they drank was clear.
