Loveless ached, and she hadn't been this damaged in awhile. The mare coming in and helping was not something that had thought about, and she watched the two help each other as she breathed deeply. If she tried to attack one, the other would surely attack her back. This was not a good setup in her favor, and it made her angry that she wasn't strong enough, or smart enough to take them both down. Her initial cockiness was useless now, and her head was bent as she was angry in thought. The night had proven to be a terrible one, and she glanced at the ground in shock at how quickly things had changed. The wisest thing in her favor was to just leave, and allow herself to grow from this experience. Since her leg was hurting more then before, she flapped her wings quickly, and started hovering in the sky. She noticed that both of the orange horses' ears perked up, but she only glared at the them for a moment, before soaring away off the horrible cliff. This would NOT happen again. It was over now, and she needed a punishment for herself to match her idiotic ways. It seemed the result of her Pride aching was bad enough, but she could deal with herself later.
Kitsune was thankful to see the Kalona fly away, his first reaction was in shock that she was coming in to attack again in flight. But he pushed away from Pumpkin Tart, only in hopes to make her less worried. "Here, the forest, we should walk a bit to get under some shading.." For him to stay hurt on a cliff would only mean that he could become the perfect prey for another Kalona. For about five minutes they walked, slowly, until Kitsune couldn't do it anymore. "I will rest, now." And with that, his body fell into a soft grass, with leaves to keep him comfortable enough. He was still grinning, only because everything had turned out alright in their favor. Yes, that was all he wanted. This would surely make him stronger.

How terrifying. He seemed dreadfully wounded. Pumpkin Tart was incredibly relieved to see the Kalona go, but she didn't trust in her leaving. She really, really needed to find a unicorn to help him. Somehow, she had managed to come out of it without even a scratch on her body. She was lucky. They were both lucky to be alive. Maybe the demon horse had been a young one, or something. "Do you want me to find a healer?" A unicorn. Someone who could make him whole again. Someone who could at least get the bleeding to stop. She seemed terribly concerned and distressed, despite his grin.

"I don't need healing." He said, in his usual confident voice. "Just a lot of rest it seems. The bleeding has to stop at some point, and if I can't handle it, I should just be killed anyways for being weak." With his grin now being a bigger smile, he kept his head still on the warm ground, also keeping his eyes closed to preserve energy. He was always going to see life in that light, and he figured that Pumpkin Tart wouldn't like that answer. "I doubt there are any Unicorns around her anyways, they use such witchcraft, I doubt it would work." Usually when he got hurt, he just waited for it to heal.. at some point. His neck must have been pretty bad for Pumpkin Tart to be this worried.

"I don't want you to die," Pumpkin Tart said quietly, her tone somewhat stiff with worry. "They don't use witchcraft, Kitsune, they use their horns, which are a magical part of them, just as wings are a part of winds. They are good creatures, and... it might help you if there was one. Please consider it." She watched her friend, heart aching at the sight of his terrible wounds, her purple eyes darkening with fear. "You don't deserve to be killed." She'd somehow, in all of this, gotten attached to him, and she really didn't want him to die! Oh god. What if he died, and then she'd be alone again? What would she do then? That was a frightening, unfortunate thought. Idiot! He kept smiling like a fool, much, much too brave for his own good. Fortunately, that was when the unicorn arrived.
Moving into the shadows like a thing out of the myths, Anarchy beheld a pair of orange Soquili, one of whom seemed to be bleeding most profusely. This was her home territory, this forest. It was near her little clearing, and they had happened to wander into it. Was it luck, or chance? Whichever it was, it would mean that the stallion would stop bleeding if he allowed her to help him. "Here, let me help you," she said, feeling strangely compelled to put her horn to his wounds. She didn't, yet. He hadn't said yet. She would wait until he had agreed to it. She was one creature who did not like to force things on others. She valued her freedom, and as a result, the freedom of those around her. It was his choice. To her amusement, she noticed that the little orange mare seemed to be silently pleading with the stallion to allow it. But with his eyes closed, she didn't think that would work.

Kitsune grunted when he saw the unicorn arrive, but he opened one of his eyes to look at Pumpkin Tart. Why was she so worried? Its not like his life mattered, it didn't matter much to him anyhow. If his body couldn't handle it, then he was most likely weak. Kitsune eyed the both of them while taking a deep breath in. "Will this make you feel better Pumpkin Tart? If I let this unicorn use her powers and stuff?" He looked directly at Pumpkin Tart, noticing the horrible worry in her eyes. She looked even more afraid then when the Kalona was coming after her. There were so many things he wanted to ask her, it seemed everything about him and her was getting strange, and complicated. But for now, he just looked at the unicorn while nodding. "If this is what Pumpkin Tart wants, then I shall allow it."

Pumpkin Tart felt a little embarrassed, a little on the spot, but... she really wanted Kitsune to feel better. He was so hurt. "Please let her heal you," she requested, half afraid that this weirdness (whatever it was) would make their friendship awkward again. Maybe he wouldn't want to be around her then. That would make her really sad. She really was getting attached to him, though she didn't really want to think about that. Pensively, she looked between him and the unicorn. "Yes, that is what I want." She wanted him to be whole and healthy again. He'd been so brave. She didn't want him to die! Or even to be injured for a long time. What if the Kalona came back, or another one arrived? They'd need to be in tip top shape.
That was enough of an affirmative for Anarchy. Carefully, she put her horn to the orange stallion's wounds, allowing its healing properties to clean and mend his torn flesh. What had happened here? These seemed like teeth marks. She wasn't quite nosy enough to ask, but she could draw some conclusions from the type of wounds he'd received. She stayed at the spot on his neck until it was healed, and then she moved to heal his shoulder. Damn. He'd really gotten himself beaten up, hadn't he? Hmm. Had he been protecting this mare? Perhaps they were siblings, or something. Their coloring was certainly similar. Finally, she lifted her head up, and looked between them. "You should be alright now. Farewell." She never stayed in one corner of the plains for too long now, during the day. At night she returned here to sleep, and now it was time for her to do just that. The unicorn turned, and left, vanishing into the shadows.

Kitsune, feeling one hundred percent better after the unicorn's witchcraft jumped up only to see her vanish. "Thaank.. you.." He said, hoping that she somehow heard it. What the heck, to only appear and vanish. It was hard for him to trust females, so he was skeptical at first when the unicorn arrived. Now he felt bad that he couldn't even thank her properly. He moved his neck into a stretch, and wiggled his shoulder. "Whatever unicorns do is good it seems, I feel like nothing even happened!" He stomped ahead for a minute, only to be satisfied that his wounds were ok. "That was a good idea, you seriously helped me out there." He looked at her smiling again, though as exhausted that the whole conflict was over. His wounds felt better, but his body ached only out of soreness from the battle. "That was lucky, hmm." He said, usually never commenting in such a way.

Pumpkin Tart felt a little self conscious now, but that was okay. She often felt self conscious, and awkward. "I don't think she expected thanks. Unicorns seem to do what they do because they feel it is right." Still, it seemed to her that she heard a 'You're welcome' floating back on the breeze. Hmm. Mysterious creatures, unicorns. Good ones, though. Well. Huh. How was she going to explain why she'd done that? "I... just didn't want you hurt, you know." Man, she felt so coltish. Foalish, ha. It sounded like 'foolish', and for good reason, it seemed. Timidly, she smiled, hoping that she hadn't seriously messed things up. "I guess it was lucky, but then... I've been pretty lucky tonight." Somehow, she ran near Kitsune as the Kalona chased her. That had turned out to be really lucky. "... Thanks. I could have died, you know." Not that it really mattered, right?

Well, Kitsune still would have liked to thank her, but he shrugged the weird emotion off and looked at the timid sounding Pupmkin Tart. "Pain doesn't bother me, I actually enjoy it when training. But it seems the fight with the Kalona got a bit out of my reach. It was good you were able to step in and kick it, that must have felt good, right?" Hopefully Pumpkin Tart could get stronger from the experience. "Naw you wouldn't have died." He said, shaking his head. "That wouldn't have happened, if the Kalona didn't fly away, I would have just kept fighting." With his usual smirk, he pawed at the ground, wondering why Pumpkin Tart was being more strange then usual. "You alright? Still shocked from the fight?" He really had no perception of emotions, so he looked at her blankly and confused.

"No, I meant that if you hadn't found me, I probably would've died." And it was true. She wasn't experienced enough to really put up a good fight, and had only managed the kick because she'd been really worried for her friend. Still somewhat shell shocked, Pumpkin Tart dropped to the ground to regain her bearings. "I guess I must be. Shocked, I mean." Huh. She hadn't been expecting things to turn out how they had. It was kind of good, really. She'd helped him, hadn't she? She'd done a relatively decent job of it, even if she hadn't really thought about it. "There's probably a lot to learn from that fight," she mused, smiling somewhat wryly. He really had no idea how much he'd scared her, did he? She'd been terrified that he would be so hurt that a healer couldn't get to him in time, or he couldn't heal back up on his own.

Well, that may have been true, but Kitsune was kind enough to Pumpkin Tart to not respond on that comment. He watched her fall and his initial reaction was to move closer. "Wooa woa." He said, losing his smirky grin. "Don't overdue yourself, take a breather." He got on his own knees and approached the ground with her. It was kind of nice to sit for a second, his legs amost thanked him in response. "Its good to reflect on what some weak points and strong points were. In my case, I need to analyze better." It still irked him that he didn't cut the Kalona's wings, but in another sense of knowledge, he realized she wouldn't have flown away then, thus making the fight end sooner. "There really never is a right in a fight." He said, with his eyes trailing off somewhere else. "All that matters is that you come out victorious."

Okay, so she was feeling a bit unsteady. Apparently near death experiences did that to her. "Somehow, though, it seems like there has to be a way to come out of a fight better off than we did," well, he did. Then again, since she was so unsteady, maybe it applied to her, too. She needed to be better prepared. "I'm glad you're okay. That... seeing you, all hurt... it really scared me." For some reason. Maybe it was because he was so nice to her, or because he seemed to understand her better than most did. Whatever the reason, she wasn't going to wait to help next time. She didn't want to see him bleeding like that again, if she could help it. Haha. He was so centered on fighting, wasn't he? He knew things, things that she didn't know, and still he was striving to improve his skills.

"What's done is done." He said, quietly, sorta in thought himself. He had made the effort to protect something he cared about (which was still confusing to him) and she walked away unhurt. That was another goal that mattered, and he succeeded just fine. "Scared you?" He looked at her, blinking more then usual. "You shouldn't worry about others, it will just make things complicated." Though, he had worried about her once he picked up her scent. Just what the heck was going on here?! Both he and Pumpkin Tart seemed confused enough.. "Well, I was worried too." He turned his head but was looking away, since his face was so flushed up. GAAH Females!!

Whatever it was, Pumpkin Tart couldn't figure it out. Were her cheeks a bit warmer than usual? Hmm. How odd. "Sorry. I didn't mean to make anyone worried. I was walking towards shelter, and then, I guess I must have stumbled onto that Kalona's territory somehow. I didn't smell her," she said sheepishly. "It does make things complicated, doesn't it?" Complicated, like how things were now? Gaaah! What in the world was she supposed to do about it? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. It wasn't wrong to worry over your friends, was it? Even though the worry felt a bit more personal than that, for some reason. How that was possible, she didn't know. Maybe... this would be a good thing, in the end. She'd learned some things, and she'd proven to herself that she could stand up to a Kalona. She'd even done that before Kitsune had arrived, for what little good it had done her.

Kitsune stood up, trying to decide what was best in this situation. He cared for Pumpkin Tart, and that was a good enough (and weird enough) realization for reason. "Well then, I'll just have to protect you from now on. Plus, you should continue your training." He looked at her and smiled, genuinely happier then usual. "I think you should tag along with me more often, maybe it will be for the better." Well, not even for her, but for him as well. That had occured to him from how well they got along together. Maybe he could learn a thing or two from her, even though he was skeptical to admit it. Plus.. he wanted her there with him. He was as weirded out as she was, but he was happier now in the way things were turning out.
