Osha shrugged when Vega decided it was too good for his father. Well, he drew it, he could decide what to do with it. And then Vega had the audacity to suggest giving it to Gavin. Osha wrinkled his nose and gave the boy a hard, studious glare. Didn't Vega know Gavin was his best friend? He had to find a way to stop this. Gavin already was friends with all the other kids, what happens when they start trying to be best friends with him too? Bye by Osha, that's what. Osha couldn't have that. He'd have to try to stop it. If that didn't work, maybe then he'd give up. (Osha didn't have that much will power, honestly.)

"Gavin doesn't like scribbles," he said shortly, already back to work on his sketch.

He made an angry face, contorting his features in a strange sort of confusion. "He'd like this," he said pointedly, adding more squiggles to the page, "Cause Daddy would tell him to. He's apposed to be nice to me." He nodded, feeling like he'd made his arguement. Gavin was his brother, Daddy had told him so when other Mommy was still around.

Osha sighed unhappily, frowning when Vega added more scribbles. He was doing that on purpose! Eugh. Osha wriggled and peered at Vega. He just couldn't help it. Osha took the bait. "Why's he apposed to be nice to you?" he asked, the frown never leaving his face. Vega's Daddy would tell Gavin to be nice? Did that mean Vega's Daddy as going to be Gavin's Daddy now? Oh no! Osha couldn't fight daddies!

"Cause his mommy and my Daddy loved each other all the time, and they told him to be nice to me," he said simply, as if it were common knowledge, "An he stayed with us sometimes, so he gotta be po-light." With that he gave his hair a litle flip and went back to drawing, now turning Daddy's frowny face into a smile.

Osha blinked. Oh. Was that all? He had nothing to worry about. "Silly. My daddy and Mr. Bran love each other aaaaaall the too, but Hlao don't have to be nice to me." He shook his head and smiled, feeling much relieved. Gavin wasn't in danger of being stolen after all. '"Gavin will like your scribbles," the redhead added, suddenly feeling the need to make up for his meanness earlier. Meanness was 'not cool', as proclaimed by his daddy that was Zack.

"Yes," he agreed loudly, though it had a very duh ring to it, "Tank you." Daddy had told him to be polite to everyone, and now that this pretty boy wasn't being such a poohead he deserved it. "Where you live pretty?" he asked cheerfully, having already forgotten their previous arguement, "I live with Daddy at the tippy top. He's stinky and he doesn't like to play much though."

Osha missed the sarcasm. Zack was not a very sarcastic person himself (Zack wasn't a big talker, as it were) and Devakanya never spoke. It was probably for the better, though, as the toddler still hadn't learned what to do when his feelings got hurt. (Being an artist, his emotions were naturally raw.) Osha paused. "I live wif Zack. Bottom." He nodded. He wasn't really sure who else lived there; all his friends lived in different buildings. He looked back at Vega. "You want more color stuff?"

"Yes," Vega chirped happily, dropping his color back beside the other boy. "Hmm," he said softly, as if it were a life or death decision, "I want... Gween." He had noticed the other boy was drawing flowers, so he might be stingy with the green, but what Vega wanted he usually got. And if he didn't he whined until he did.

Green? Osha sighed, looking down at his little picture of flowers. He was using the green for their stems! But...well...it was nice to share. Zack said so. And he always shared with Devi, so sharing with Vega couldn't be much different. He could...add a butterfly. Yeah! Now that he had the purple back, he could draw a butterfly! Butterflies were much better than stems anyways.

"Here," he said, offering Vega his green. Hmm. Was it getting late? He might have to go home soon.

"Thanks," the toddler said as he began to doodle grass beneath chibi-Daddy. He wasn't sure where the grass was supposed to be, so he drew it about up to Daddy's arms, figuring he always saw some when they were outside so there must surely be at least that much. The concept of perspective seemed to escape him. "You real pretty," he stated as he doodled, disliking silence, "Like me."

Osha was very involved in his added butterfly, drawing all sorts of pretty colors across the wings before adding antennae and little wind swirls underneath. He was about to ask if Vega was done with the green -he didn't really want to know what the other boy was doing to it- when Vega told him he was pretty. No one had ever called him pretty before. They always called his sister pretty, but he was always 'creative' or some other weird word adults liked to use. (He did like being creative.)

"...uh. Thanks...?" Osha muttered with a confused frown. "...can have green back, now?"

Vega peered at the grass, trying to decide whether he had drawn enough for it to be done. Finally, he decided that green wasn't a very pretty color, and that if he needed more grass he could always make it pink. He tossed the crayon back to the other boy, taking a moment to decide what he should add next. Ever the thoughtful one, he sneaked a peek at Osha's drawing, and decided that that was just what Daddy needed to be less Icky, wingies. "You don't talk much huh?" he asked suddenly, "Daddy says I talk to much, but I don't think so. I think he's boring."

Osha took back his colored pencil and slowly tried to find the spot where it belonged, between the light green and the forest green. Once he located the spot and slid the Prisma in, he folded the cover over his sketchpad and looked up at Vega. "Gotta go home now," he said solemnly, slowly climbing to his feet. "Daddy," he added, as though it explained everything. Vega did have a daddy, however, so maybe he'd understand. "Byebye."
