Impossible? Whats that? gonk But seriously, thats not a word. At least not in Baba's vocabulary. Something is only impossible if you let it be.

I want to watch Mission Impossible now gonk Which i probably will.
Compare 30 years ago to today. We've got more advancer and cured diseases that we couldnt back then. Back then it seemed impossiable.

I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. Some things might as well be impossible because of the human body's restraints. For example, if you try benching more weight than you can handle, you'll pull a muscle. In the future (if there's a future), there might be technology or legalized steroids that can allow human beings to lift ten times the amount of weight we can currently lift; however, there will never be a way to become infinitely powerful. People are never going to be able to lift planets.
It's impossible to become infinitely powerful. And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

Possibility and impossibility are not only restricted by our understanding and perception of the world around us, but also defined by it. So in the individualist sense yeah, anything is possible, but collectively, I don't think there will ever be a time when we say that we can do whatever the hell we want when we want.

divinitywolf Is anything possible? Because technically we dont understand or know enough about the universe to say that a certain thing is impossible yet i have given this matter some thought and i came up with a question. Is doing the impossible possible? sorry if this is confusing but if you do the impossible then technically it was never impossible in the first place. But if anythings possible then the question would never arise because nothing would be impossible. My views are kinda contradictory and it IS quite confusing but i'd be interested to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions. Hmm...well, possiblities and impossibilities are just constructs that don't really mean anything. So, I suppose the answer to your question is no, since they're logically inequivalent. P & ~P

TheDarknessInsideOfYou666 Well what you are asking here , is the impossible possible? Well think about it, have a brain blast in you thick skull... If the impossible suddenly became possible , then why haven't we humans done the possible yet? stare I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. For an obvious reason--we don't have the technology to do some of the "possible" things yet. If you want to build a house of cards, in this case the house of cards represents what is possible, then you have to start from the bottom and move your way up.
Think a little before you go about insulting people. That's what philosophy's all about--thinking outside the box. Plus, you'll just make yourself look bad when your argument falls flat on its face. And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

Usually I think anything is possible. All we need is hope, and humans are hope because we remain, through all the suffering and the pain.
Those who have strong hope have in them the power of miracles, I think the impossible is possible, all you need is a lot of hope. No matter what anyone says, we shouldn't listen to them amazing things happen, even when no one expects them.

Hmm. Contray to what most people are repling, I do think there are impossible things. I'm not talking about technology wise as everyone seems to think. I'm talking about people in general. Poverty, war, and disease I don't see them going away. I think it is impossible to cure the worlds problems. I mean there are ways to do this, but I see it as impossible for them to happen. I don't know, it is all very complicated.
I find that most things are possible though. I like to keep an open mind. Except for those things that I have already closed my mind on.

Well, it is possible to end all three of those mentioned "impossibilities".
The extinction of all existent life.
... Though it's a tad morbid, it is true. >< No wars can be waged if there's no one to wage them, there would be no poverty if there was no one to use/lose money, and a disease can't spread without a host body. And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

Well, you got me there.
I really don't know how to explain it. I guess everythings possible to some extent, but sometimes the extent is so small that they are impossible. That isn't even very good. Curse my horrible writing skills. There are just some things I don't see happening. I see impossible and possible as relative things.

I don't think people are going to be lifting objects the size/weight of planets anytime ever. Not everything is entirely possible because of the restrictions we have as humans. And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

I think that one day what we refer to now as the "impossible" will be something anyone can do... *shrugs* all we have t do is wait and see
