With the relative finesse and control Jordan lacked, he watched as Seth chased the rabbit, guiding it to where he wanted it to go and it seemed to happen so fast because it was over as soon as it had began. He admired the control Seth had displayed in the chase as Jordan had wanted to be the one to do the same.
His tail wagged at the approaching thylacine, but quickly noticed the rabbit was still alive. He braced himself for what he knew was coming. His eyes closed and his muscles bunched. When the sound of the decapitation came, he cringed.
As hungry as he was, he felt a bit ill about the rabbit. It made his stomach churn as he’d seen rabbits disembowled by ravenous islanders before. If anything, that showed there was still some humanity in him—or perhaps that just creeped him out a lot. He choked on the words, taking the rabbit with a slight nod. “I… uhm… ah’ll eat thish a bit later.. mah stomach hurtsh too much to eat it right now..” he positively looked paler than usual.
It was morbid curiousity that made him ask. “… What ahr you ushing the headsh for?”

Seth continued to hold out the rabbit, flicking an ear in slight annoyance. Jordan wasn't hungry?
"Yeah, right. And I'm the Queen's mother. Just take it!" Seth said, the words sounding more like a demand. The Thylacine attempted to thrust the headless freshly killed rabbit into Jordan's hands. He was half-tempted to swallow the dead creature whole then and there himself just to prove it was fine, but he had caught it for his fellow territorial ally to eat, and so he didn't despite the fact he was hungry himself.
"You're an animal now - a carnivore at that too. Well..." He paused, looking thoughtful. "I think a dog is an omnivore, because one time I fed the neighbour's dog cake and some stinky old cheese and it didn't puke it back up, but anyway..." He shook his head and grunted. "Just eat the bloody thing, it's fine. It's not going to make you sick. It's good."
A wide amused grin grew across his maw at the question of the rabbit-head.
"Oh..." Seth chuckled slightly, his tail raised. "You'll see. They're going to make some pretty decorations for somebody special."

His stomach begged him to take the food. Who knew when next he’d have the opportunity to feed. His body would suffer further if he did not partake of the kill given freely to him, so he did take it and he did take a bite out of it, bloodying his muzzle in the process. The first taste of flesh was all he needed t abate his hesitation. His fangs bared and he was digging into that carcass voraciously, growling and snarfling as he listened dually. Big fleshy chunks were torn and all he could truly focus on was the tasty meat filling his empty stomach. He couldn’t stop himself, like a starving animal who “knows” this was his last meal.
Licking blood from his lips, he held the carcass closely, in case Seth wanted to take it, his eyes wide with curiousity. A friend? No, not a friend in the sense of the word. Rabbit heads + friend= ….. “Reechard…?” a happy tail wagged with the gamble of a guess. It seemed feasible since they both hated the cat. Who else would he think of tormenting with rabbit heads. Of course… what he’d intended to do after that… left him in the dark.

The thylacine-man watched Jordan feast with an air of satisfaction. He remembered his own personal struggle in regards to coming to terms with eating raw dead animal, and partially envied Jordan for getting over it and embracing it so quickly.
"Well, I'm glad that wasn't a drama." Seth stated, nodding in approval. "Get used to eating those things, and chicken. They're about the only wild prey-animals running around the island. Oh, unless you count the rats, and the crabs on the beach. Fortunately they're not too hard to catch, so once you get the hang of it, you're another step on the way to getting away from the village."
A dark chuckle rose up in Seth's throat at Jordan's guess in regards to the rabbit head.
"Exactly." He nodded, a spark of malicious glee shining behind his eyes. "That stupid cat forced me off my own land. There was a time when I owned the area around the village, and this nice spot around the lake. It was good for catching fish. But when I went back to remark it one day, you-know-who was in it, stinking it up with her foul stench." He made an angry animalistic 'yaa-yaff-yaff' noise, the thylacine-side of him joining in with his rising anger. "I tried to contend the patch - it was mine! But..." He shook his head, tail lowering once more. "She beat the s**t out outta me. And I lost."
"Then I came to the realization that if that kind of behaviour keeps up, she's going to come galumphing through MORE of my stuff, pushing me off those bits too!" He made a low growling noise, teeth bared, ears pinned back. "The village was mine. The area behind it was mine. The bits around the lake were mine. Pretty much all the area around the village I had claimed until that stupid cat barged her fat arse in and stole my land."
"If she takes it all over, where the bloody hell is anybody else supposed to go?! Fair enough, I don't mind sharing what I have with everybody else. I want to help some of these other poor sods out. I have some other plans to help everyone here out, but..." He made a sharp grunt. "If somebody doesn't stop her, she's going to claim the entire bloody island, and then probably try to kill us all! She already tried it with me, who's to say she's not going to do it all over again?"

There was no holding back the laughter. Not at Seth’s tragic loss at the hands of the encroaching cat, but at wanting to get her back for doing so. He shook his head after hearing the tale and his laughter had been worked through his system. He didn’t know Richard had become territorial to such a degree that she would attack others. That upset him. “Sheh hatesh me too, yaknow.. ef sheh knew you were protecting meh, sheh’d double her effo’ts to take all your land.. and who knowsh watt she’d wanna do tah meh.” It was his turn to shudder.
He scarfed down the remained of the rabbit in order to free his forepaws. It was uncomfortable not to be on all paws. Seth was beginning to sound like Magneto fighting the U.S. government that was Richard, like he had the interest of everyone at heart while really accomplishing goals that were important to him first and foremost. “Ah’m really in no cond-ee-shawn to engage her directly.. buhd.. ah’d beh weeleng tah help you.” He nodded. Was this why he was teaching Jordan to hunt? Well, in his case, it was beneficial to both! Jordan learns survival and Seth gets rabbit heads!
“Sheh scaresh meh. Ah won’t denah thah. Thoshe hooks of hersh ah wicked.” And anything to distract the cat from the loyalty serum was a worthwhile endeavor. He hated to think like this after all that Seth was doing for him, but if se wasn’t focused on Jordan, the canine would have more time to gather his wits. Hell, he’d help Seth and hope that his name wouldn’t be tagged to any of the highjinx. "Ah'm sure etsh only ah mattah of time before etsh mah turn to beh treated like a fish onna hook..." he cringed at that thought. A reminder of why he needed to become stronger.

"Oh, I have a few ideas in mind to keep her out of here. Such as digging a giant hole, filling it with water, and kicking fresh leaf litter on the top so they float and conceal the water. You'd be walking along minding your own business, and... well, splash. Or something to snare her upsidedown, or something to fling her away like a catapult."
"Phh, the claws don't scare me." Seth grunted, and pointed a clawed index finger at his maw. "These jaws are pretty bloody powerful. They can crush stuff in them pretty easily. One day I'm going to have to crush a beer can, or a bone in them to show ya'." He narrowed his eyes. "I bet I could chew an arm off if I put some real effort into it."
"Oh! About that hole..." He glanced off to the north, looking to be deep in thought. "Remember that hole I asked you to dig? Well, I think I know where to begin now. And... well..." He came to a halt and bit his lower lip. Should he tell Jordan about what he planned to do?
"Well, when you're ready to dig and have fun with it, I'll show you where to start." Perhaps now wasn't the right time. He felt pretty trusting of Jordan now, and he was sure that the canine would make a brilliant digger if he did involve himself in helping with Seth's grand scheme, but the thylacine felt that he needed more time to assess whether Jordan would agree to it, or snitch him out.

“Hey… watt abot a shnare above a camoflagued water-hole.” He snickered. “Hang ‘em high… then cut tha rope and…” he threw up his forearms in a big atomic explosion style “SPLOOSH!! Wet puss.” He flashed his canines.
He pulled back his right arm reflexively, holding it to his body in his other arm, at the mention of biting through an arm. “Ouch..” he realized that he’d visibly cringed and felt so stupid, as if Seth would do that to him- now. “Bite thoshe tentaclesh off and sheh only hash clawsh.” He nodded. “Sheh reliesh on thoshe hooksh too much.”
His ears perked up about the mention of the hole project. It’d slipped his mind to be honest. He could do it. After digging that hole before when he was tearing apart the dirt scribble of Richard… all he’d have to do is channel some anger and e could dig to China. “Sure. Ah can gev it a shot.” His ears flicked with interest. Digging that hole had felt good.
He nodded in understanding. This was obviously important to Seth and he owed him a debt by this point. He’d have to work himself into better condition to do that. Maybe he’d have to venture to the village then for food when there was no prey to be found. He mused that this hole would be the one used for the trap, giving him incentive. “Gimme ah few daysh.. work up thah shtrength.. and weh ken dig a hole tah thah bottom of thah ocean ef ya want. Remember, though… Reechard ish all buddeh-buddeh weth Shabin now, show eh gotta make sure thah sheh doesn’t go whining to his labsh pal. Thah could be very bad for both of ush.”

"If you can think of any ways to keep that cat out of my territory, I'd really appreciate hearing it." Seth nodded. "Because If we don't actively try, there'll be nowhere left for us to stay. And then we're as good as dead already."
Seth grinned happily at the mention of the hole. "Good work!" He clapped his paws together. "I'll show you where to start digging when you're up to it...."
He went quiet and he visibly tensed as soon as Jordan mentioned Richard and Sabin's alliance.
"Well.... ********!" He growled, kicking at the dirt. "That doesn't surprise me to hear, but... what are we supposed to do about that? If Richard is bum-chums with the labtards, then..." He shook his head. "Maybe there's a way around that. I don't know."

He expected that reaction. Hell, he’d felt that way too when he found out. “Yeah.. pished me off when ah found thah ou’.” He nodded. “Wushn’t bad anough she was harrashing me abot s**t before, buhd now ah learn she’s been goin’ tah Duvert..” he rolled his eyes. Jordan had already said too much and he wasn’t comfortable in going into the whole “why” Richard was so chummy with Duvert all of the sudden. “Ah well… take the good with the bad, I shupposhe.” He flicked his claws dismissively with a shrug.
“Ahnywaysh, keep me updated, sho we can do this thing. Ash for now, though… ah’m beat.. gonna go get shum sleep ef that’s alright weth you.” He looked for approval of his dismissal before departing.

"Oh, so she's a snitch then? Their little pair of eyes on the inside? Er, the outside..." Seth snorted. "Well, she's taken crap away from you, and she's taken my territory away from me. It's time to take something away from her, I think."
"Will do," He nodded at Jordan. "Will keep you updated as much as I can. See ya' around then, huh? Oh, and practise that hunting when you get another chance." He grinned. "That way I don't have to hand-feed you every day."
Seth began to bound off on his own path, wanting to check his territory boundaries again. "Cheers, mate. See ya' around." And with that, he hopped off into the nearby scrub.
He wanted some time alone to think and plan anyway.
