Alisox Sorry about that Phantomette! I forgot about this section, its really dead. sweatdrop .
The mods have been thinking of a serious guild cleanup, I'm just trying to keep the threads as organized as I can. It's no problem that you put it out there, we just need to enforce the use of the subforums.
Oh, and on-topic:
I recently wrote an author's note about me stopping one of the fanfictions that I was writing, and I was really surprised at the responses I got. I thought it was an awful story, and I was really ashamed of it, but I got a huge wave of pleas for more. It was shocking, to say the least. o_o; I still don't know if I want to continue though.

What I despise:
Bella and Edward have kids- fics.
SUPERINCREDIBLEAMAZING BELLA- fics.
And the infamous lalala, we're on a date but ZOMG Bella's been hit by a double decker bus/ developed a mysterious disease/ been raped in the ear/ tripped over a piece of dust WE MUST CHANGE HER OR SHE'LL DIE- fics. burning_eyes
Y'know, um...can't they just hang out without drama?
Watch a movie or something?
Have a fight with SuperSoakers?
It's like something always has to happen...

Some of the stuff that drives me nuts in fanfiction is:
Once Bella is turned she has powers that are nonsensible,
Is an uber vamp,
the imfamous kid bull,
Emmett being gay or any character being really out of character,
and other things that I can't think about. stressed

Crack =________= i've read one good crack fic for Twilight, the rest don't even make sense for crack fics, it's horrible
personally, I'm fond of one line paragraphs XD maybe cause I like to write them, but the huge paragraphs... yeah.. no
Also, the stupid focusing upon the outfits >.< I don't care wha fandom it is, they're freaking clothes don't matter!!!
That and the ever infamous over used plot lines x_X most of all, the SUPER MARYSUE BELLA STRONGER THEN ALL THE VAMPIRES!!!! storyline

It was shocking, to say the least. o_o; I still don't know if I want to continue though.I've had the same thing for fics that I've reread and absolutely hated =_____= and then I've read fics that are utterly horrible that everyone is cheering over, some people don't have taste it seems but I'm not saying your fic is bad, seeing as I have yet to read it sweatdrop I'm just saying that you should continue the fic on your own decision if you dislike it

Personally, I don't mind the fangs. I don't care about them.
It's when they talk about them having kids, Bella being the ultimate vamp, her being in a life or death situation where its vital that they turn her, etc, etc. I could rant on and on about this. But I'm too tired too. Generally, I don't read Twilight/New Moon/Bella, Edward, etc fanfics. I just never wanted to because its almost impossible to capture the true essence of the book in a fanfic. Just my opinion.

I've skimmed through some of the fics on Fanfic.net and nearly died of a spaz attack because of poorly thought out plot lines. I need something that requires thought. I honestly don't mind waiting long periods of time for another chapter of a really good fanfic. That's what the problem is for some potentially good fanfic authors, they feel rushed so they put less thought into it so that they can get the next chapter out faster.
However... Bella/Edward kids makes me pull my hair out and scream, "Vampires are freaking infertile! They can't have kids!" DX And of course super-powered Bella is annoying. If she has any powers at all, I want it to be something to do with her 'private mind' that blocks vampire's mental powers. No idea what could happen with that, but I'd rather not speculate that part of the story. So I don't read stories that include a vampire Bella.

I dont mind one liner paragraphs, really. I write them a lot, because as a style, my writing is at times very choppy for emphasis.
I just dont like when an authors writing is entirely in single lines and isnt even very long. It shows more often that not lack of thought.
And Im not a grammar nazi, but that kills me too. My friend and I were making fun of the most common sentence in the fanfics we read (meaning twilight and smallville) and it is "...-insert name here, my angle". We just literally rofl everytime we say that. Hehe.
Suggestion: Look for fanfictions on fanfiction.net that have lots and lots of reviews relative to the number of chapters. Now, dont entirely skip over them if they are new, someone has to read them, or we will never know if they are any good. But if youre in a hurry, look for ones that are already well-established.

i hate it when ppl write about bella's transformation, and then make it all bubbly or sappy. it doesn't work. Im sort of afraid what will happen when she gets changed.....i also hate the kids and the super bella

I hate the whole Edward and Bella having a child idea to begin with, but what makes it worse is when everything is completly normal with the pregnancy and child. I'm sorry, but if you somehow got pregnant with a half vampire child, it would not be normal, it'd be extremely dangerous.
