angelpunkchris Gravechild6 My Hollow Slayer is Thrash Metal and Children of Bodom is power/speed metal. CoB aren't really speed they just play fast. They are Power metal of the Melo-Death variety, which is pretty much Power Metal with harsh vocals. And they already have a thread anyway. huh, that strange becuase a fellow COB listener, also the one who turned me onto them, told me they were black metal... *shrug* ok, thanks... One thing you need to learn is often friends are wrong about bands. Wikipedia is crap at labelling bands and so is amazon and other online resources.

where would topics on enslaved go? their old stuff is black metal, the newer stuff is more prog-oriented, and i've also heard a lot of people classify them as viking metal...
