It could go either way. After such a grand ending coming back would feel a bit cheap, yet at least it would be fresh and new. The atmosphere would be like the Difference Between Mobile Suit Gundam and After War: Gundam X. (Except after a certain point Gundam X stops feeling post apocalyptic and everyone seems to have a mobile suit neutral )
