Slightly annoyed that the bard had landed on his platform Damien reaches into his coat and pulls out a small vial with about three teaspoons of greed liquid in it. "Im here to offer you an antidote, to the poisn that a competitor of mine sliped to the royal family. But youll have to earn it." He says tossing it into the air and catching it. " Three minutes, if i cant beat you three in that time ill relinquish the antidote. If you can beat me then ill tell you who poisoned the royal family." Summoning his icicles again he says once more. "Shall we continue?"

Traven laughed loudly as he saw her blush "Oh, come on Miss Falloner you liked it and you know." he said in a mocking tone but snapped to attention as soon as the avriel began to speak "Three minutes that's plenty of time to kick your feathery a**!" he said proudly and pointed at the icicles and shot beams of fire at them causing the icicles to explode "You can do better." Traven then hel out his arm and pointed directly at the winged elf's stomach "Magic Missile!" he said and a series of blue beams shot out from his finger

[OOC: Normaly I keep OOC in the Chatterbox but I had to say: LULZ FOR MAGIC MISSILE!! xd ]
The Captain rolled her eyes with a groan. Just who did this fluffy gutter-scum think he was playing with? She was furious enough to kill him out-right, but instead she merely raised her sword point and stared him down coldly. She wasn't certain he was being truthful; the brightest mages in the land worked for the King, and all food was tested for adverse substances. But there was no reason to take a chance, so she spoke out to appeal to his sense of humanity...if, indeed, he had one.
"You are playing with peoples lives. Even if you have no respect for their titles or standing, surely you have no wish to see other's suffer for your amusement? Does that make you any better than this competitor of yours?"
Blessed Light, she was tired of talk. She wanted this fool taken down and taken down hard. No one threatened her kingdom or her King without retribution. Whether he'd poisoned them himself or not didn't matter; it was in his power to stop it, and if he did not, it would be he she made to suffer for the crime.

After quickly deflecting the ragged spell with his sword he looked once more down at the captain. "Your right I dont enjoy seeing other suffer for my amusment, but this is on a scale far larger than you or your king. If you can assure me that you will be ready for anything, and I do mean ANYTHING then ill give you the antidote now." he says clutching the vial tightly. "This is much more." he says quietly to himself opening his wings.

The words evoked memories of a time long past, a time when she had first earned the right to bear a sword in the King's name, a time when her personal code of justice and martial skills had earned her a place among the elite. A time, she thought with pride, when something special had been recognized in her, had set her apart to take an Oath that bound her to her duty. As she had spoken it from her heart then, so she did now.
"I stand ready now, as I ever will, against the coming of the Dark. I swear my blood, heart, and blade to the land of Aleron. It's people are my people; it's survival is my survival; it's prosperity is my prosperity. I stand guard against all evils, be they from within or abroad. By my Honor, I stand ready. Blessed Be Aleron in the eyes of the Gods."
The Oath was sworn with quiet passion, as it had been the day she'd knelt in the inner chambers of the palace before the Stone of Truth, and given the words to the ears of the Gods. Some who swore were rejected as untrue, impure; she had been Chosen, and so had been instated as the King's right-hand woman. Few knew, but the King himself had also undergone the Test of Truth. It was, Tarma knew, the only way Gavin had known he was the right man to rule. For that, even if they had not been friends, Tarma would have followed him to the ends of the earth.
"You have no comprehension, Avariel, of the power in this land...Aleron thrives on the love in the hearts of it's people, and there are many who would give their last breath to protect it."
She looked at him then, and the truth of her words was in her eyes.
"Including me."

Damien sighs, then lightly chuckles. His laugh echoing thoughout the entire tower. "I had forgoten about that oath. Its been so long. i just hope you know that what is comming is something niether you or I have ever faced before, but know this, were not advisaries." The avariel jumps down to thier platform, sheathing his sword. "Captain Tarma Falloner I am Damien Moonshadow, Blademaster 2nd Circle." Holds out the antidote for her to take. "And I hope you realize the severity of the coming times." he said a small grin on his face. watching the bard in his periferal vision. "Why cant i see his colors?"

"Duly noted."
She snatched the vial from his fingers and tucked it inside her coat in one swift motion. Though her tone was curt, the Captain sheathed her sword; an obvious gesture of truce, if not exactly good will.
"If you'll excuse me a moment."
The woman turned on her heel and strode for the door, disapearing out of sight. Her voice carried from the stairwell, however, and she returned a moment later with a satisfied expression on her face.
"My lieutenant will deliver the antidote. I trust it will do it's job."
The words were just shy of polite. Approaching the pair, she caught the bard's eye and gave him a small nod of greeting, then turned her attention to the Avariel. While her stance had relaxed, her hand yet remained draped over her swords pommel, a sign that she did not yet fully trust this man.
"Now Moonshadow, since we're all such bossom chums, I wouldn't object to hearing more about this great threat you percieve to our kingdom."

Traven had in no way paied attention to the rambling of the two swordsmen near him in stead he spent the time to tune his mandolin "Soooooooo....any way since we reached a peacful solution instead of going into an all out brawl...am I still getting paid for my help?" he asked looking over at Tarma

The Captain sent a baleful glance in the Bard's direction. Never-the-less, she did consider his request, and though it took a long moment for her to answer, she finaly gave a short nod. She had always intended to follow through, but it was fun to yank his chain a little.
"You'll have your coin, as promised. I don't go back on my word, Traven."

"I sence you dont trust me completly. I understand that seeing as how i made your aquatance. Understand that I know very little about this, but what I do know frightens me. After chasing my competitor here for a 'personal' reason there was something i couldnt help noticing. A large surge of magical energy, more than could be channeled by any mortal unaided. Aperantly this also caught the attention of my competitor who used a spell he had stolen to momentarly blind me and fled. After he fled I traveled to the location I senced the energies from and found a ruined mages tower in the forest of whispers. In the rubble I found an insignia. From ancient lore, even by elven standards. The Seal of Gramath." He said shuddering slightly upon reaching his last word. Obviously disterbed by what the aperance of the insignia means. "Noone on this island should even know that he exists let alone his mark."

The Captain raised an eyebrow and blinked once. The words meant nothing to her; she'd had no magic training, and considered mage towers to be the concern of the Mage's Guild, and therefor outside her jurisdiction till they started breaking the law.
"The name means nothing to me, Moonshadow. Am I to assume it should?"
Magical energy surges, mysterious ruined towers, unknown seals belonging to long-forgotten men of power; it truly was turning into a bard's tale. Pursing her lips, the soldier extended her hand to him.
"I'd like to see it, if I may. And, with your permission, take it to the Mage's Guild. I believe the Guildmistress might be of some assistance to us, if this is a portent of as great a threat as you say."

Traven smiled as he heard the avriel talk and heard that someone had come to find him after what he did in his uncle's tower he face turned from emotions of happiness to intrigue "Gramath...reminds me of my earlier days..." he said thinking hard he felt the one of the symbols on his back begin to burn "Wait I think I know what you are talking about something like this?" he asks and reaches into his shirt and pulls out the old pendant he took off his uncle's body.

hid eyes turn wide at the amulet the bard pulled out, his expresion of suprise turned to rage as he grabed the bard by his shirt and says with obvious intent to kill in his voice. "Where...Did...You...Get...That..."

Without hesitation, the Captain stepped forward and pushed the two apart, a mild frown on her features. Whatever the two were about to have an altrication about, it would be better taken elsewhere, and she said as much out loud.
"You two wool-heads want to rumble, fine by me. But you take it outside my jurisdiction. Which means that, for right now, you play nice."
She sighed, rubbing a hand across her eyes where a headache was brewing.
"Now, why doesn't someone explain to me what the hell is going on?"

Kromm leaped though the window bow and arrow in his hand. He had his arrow ready to fire. He was about nine gaint steps from her with a iron arrow in a oak hunting bow "You Torma, Captian of Fallen Falconers. Drop you belt and sword with it. Drop your chestplate and helmet. I've been istructed by a indiviaul to assasinate you. So, You come with me IU get my pay, I kill the hirer, I let you go and no body gets hurt. You don't have to worry about ninety other killers coming for you. I get my pay and we are all happy." Said Kromm knowing good andwell he could blast his arrow right though her helmet if she didn't oblige.
