She listened as he spoke, now with more attention then before. Her usual rude attitude was fading a bit, and she just tilted her head, curious to his family life. "No, I'm not actually. My brothers not only look twinish in appearance, but they follow my father a bit more. I also take in my fathers humble gift of Pride, though I dislike being kind to idiots. My brothers seem to follow him in that light." She also snorted and cracked her tail on the ground, the subject always made her dissapointed.
Loveless only grinned at how annoyed Taint would get on the subject of Torment, but she assumed that she was also the same way with her brothers. "I guess that is true, I doubt my brothers will change either so, I shouldn't compare it differently." With a twisted smile, she gleamed at him, observing the slight similarity in family style. "Though you shouldn't look at it as welfare, its always nice knowing you are better then someone." Which, Loveless enjoying knowing about her own brothers.
She could easily agree with him, when she had her run in with Lucifer, he didn't look scary at all. But she walked away from that long discussion being petrified with his wit. "That is true, I have had a few meetings like that." With a slight nod, her eyes were glued on the ground, remembering the horrible discussion they had. "I am sure you can be scary." She returned after giggling a bit at his playful smile. "I hope to see you scary one day, that is my favorite you know. I like intimidation, it soothes me." She hoped she would grow up like that, holding a commanding face with a strong backbone.

"If you are nothing like your brothers... Then why should I be anything like my sister that you've already met, or my brother that you haven't?" His brow lofted slightly as he looked at the filly; just as curious as she was if not moreso due to his younger age. "Your father does not get angry because you don't follow in his footsteps?" His father had always been furious whenever he or either of his siblings showed anything in who they were beyond what he taught them.
He snorted softly, his own smile coming close to matching the filly's own twisted one. "I don't need to know where she is or what she's doing to know that I am better than her... No more than you would need to know where your brothers were or how they were acting to be better than them. Just because they improve in one area doesn't mean we won't continue to excell." He was never going to accept Torment becoming better than him.
"I can be when I want to be... Just as I'm sure that you can be when you want to be, Loveless. 'Scary' is what we can be... Not who we are. There is more to what we are than just that... Not like my brother. That's all he has." He snorted softly as he shook his head. It was a shame, really... That all Tarnish would ever be was 'scary' and nothing else.

"Of course he doesn't, I have my own mind and body, so why should I just do everything he does? Its fun to stray away and be different, he doesn't care anyhow. He is too busy being into himself." She giggled to herself, only because her father was SO predictable. It was easy for her to stray away from him since he was also fixing himself up or something.
"Ahh, that is true as well. It is refreshing to see that you have a good handle on it at least." She grinned at him, and coiled her tail around playfully. "If I may ask, in what way do you wish to excel, Taint?" Well she was a bit interested at this point, plus it was nice to hear the strides of another besides her father or mother. She had enough planning for herself that it would be refreshing to hear a different ideal. "I am always interested in hearing about self quests and such."
She tilted her head to listen as he spoke of Tarnish, and his reaction was different but felt someho similar to Torments. "I think I understand now, what you mean." She said, softly, not wanting to make him think about his brother anymore. It seemed like a touchy subject, and Loveless knew subjects like that well.

He nodded in a slow agreement of sorts. He, much like she, would far rather be himself than his father. His father, while strong, was not something that he ever wanted to become. No, he would be better than him in his own ways. Always.
"In every way." He answered simply as he tilted his head high. A very serious look was on his face for a moment only to be replaced by a sly grin. "Well, in every way that I possibly can. Everyone has their strengths and their weaknesses." Not that he would ever admit to having weaknesses in front of someone who could be a potential foe. "Even if they are so small that they don't matter."
Another thing that he and Torment shared was their bitterness towards their brother. Somehow he had made himself a 'favorite' and they both wanted to see him fall. One day he would fall and, when he did, he wanted to be there watching... Or at least close enough to see the results.

At least he wanted to better himself, and that was good. "Well, if you think like that, I am sure you won't have a problem becoming stronger. Many just wait around to become stronger, and that is more lazy I suppose. But when one actually tries to be better then capacity, the best results are produced." She gave a slight nod and then looked at him carefully. "When you are older, do you think you will go away from this father of yours? I plan to, or will with my family." She said, with a strangely serious tone. She would unaffiliate herself with her family, but her father would be the hardest to separate from. Its not that he did anything bad to her, but she couldn't stand behind his actions anymore. "Maybe it will make things better for me." She added on, quietly.

"I don't think I will..." He turned his head high, a slight glimpse of the stallion he would become one day gleaming in his eyes. "I know I will." He wouldn't spend the rest of his days being 'taught' by his father. Plague's teachings had served as his lessons in life up until now... It would soon be time to learn new lessons.
He looked at the filly once more before turning away. "Maybe we'll meet again when we both move on to make ourselves better. For now it's time to play my part and learn what little more I can from my father."

She grinned at him, almost seeing that it was a challenge. "Well, maybe next time we meet we will see how much stronger we both are, I won't be a pushover, I assure you!" She grinned widely and flashed him a simple smile. It was sort of fun in a sense, since there was another with a similiar mindset.
"Your father has wisdom that is useful, but I am sure you will find your own thoughts are the most effective in self growth." She gave him a playful snort and took a few steps back, still grinning at him. "Until next time, then?"

He stomped at the ground as he looked back over his shoulder at the filly. "Until then, Loveless." He grinned as ruffled his feathers before trotting off. Next time he'd make certain that he could fly. Walking away was such a plain exit...
