I don't think anyone mentioned that this is an actual series in Japan. People in Japan are CRAZY about Harry Potter! I don't think it's all dojin, but who knows? I've seen some really cute ones. Most of the ones in the series I've seen are SiriusHarry, though, so I don't care for it. If you go to a certain site, they have some of it in thier dojinshi pile, but it's pretty hard core- it's like porn so I don't think I'm allowed to give you the name. Not here, at least! Anyways, it's SiriusHarry. I think they had some moonstar, though.......

Alright, I was curious about this, so I asked my older host brother in Japan (Well, technically he's a friend turned host brother). There are TONS of Harry Potter doujinshi (fan comics if you don't know), but no official series. A company making a series about them would be copyright infringement. Also unfortunately, since all of the comics are made for an adult audience (even though I am 18 ), the writers use the more complicated kanji, so my translation services wouldn't be of much help (yet).
Also, and I don't want to get off topic, the Japanese translation of Harry Potter is bad. My host brother said that it is a different story from the english ones. The Japanese translation deviates from the original storylines, and is even written in grammatically incorrect Japanese. It also takes about one year after the UK and USA release before Japan gets the novel.

I've only ever seen fan art done in that style. There are some fantastic artists out there. There's a few that have some lovely series out if you're lucky enough to catch them.

OMG! I would definitely buy them. They sound awesome. But is it true that they are all in Japanese? If that is so I guess I will have to get my Japanese friend to translate them for me blaugh Gotta love Japanese friends heart

there are definitely some awesome artists out there drawing manga style hp fanart (like Yukipon) you can usually find it in the fanart sections of hp slash sites.

There's quite a bit of downloadable doujin here: Just type 'Harry Potter' into the search box and a lot of stuff comes up. And it's all translated. (What I've downloaded, anyways.)

It really does exist it's called doujinshi...if you Google Harry Potter doujinshi you'll get quite a few websites, some will even allow you to download/preview the manga. It is actually published in countries (*coughJapancough*) where they have less striced copy write laws... I found a lot still Japanese. Those don't work out for me to well...i'm still working on the whole learning Japanese thing...lol good luck...and go take a look at Fan Work... ninja

I've hears/seen a couple of doujinshis a few places, and I think I did read about an actual book, too. I'll see if I've still got the sites in my favourites or if my friend knows what I'm talking about and try to get back to you sometime. ^^
