___She turned, motioning behind her, and shrank back in shock. Hazina could no longer see the large city that had housed her for so long, in fact, there was nothing there. She mumbled a plea to En-Kai before looking at Aemilia. This place was different, and not in such a welcoming way, as first impressions go. Although, this girl did help ease the decreasing comfort level. ___"A-Agra." She said poorly, absentmindedly pointing at the void that was now where the entrance once was. "Bhāratavarsha, Hind." Hazina whispered, reciting faithfully the few names she'd ever heard it called. "In-dee-yah."
___Hazina furrowed her eyebrows, looking at the girl with a peculiar look. Granted she knew of several countries, but London? The numbers after it, didn't really make sense to her either. London, London. She narrowed her eyes, squinting at nothing in particular save for the sake of placing the name. Finally placing it, she flinched, springing away from the girl, covering her mouth and nose with her arm. ___"London! Plague-carrier!" Her eyes were wide, and incredibly frightened. She couldn't believe she'd been in such close contact with this girl. Was she infected already? Amee didn't look like it'd gotten too far. Frantically Hazina dug around her satchel for a worn amulet. What a horrible fate for this young mysterious Fakir to suffer.

Aemilia's round eyes widened further at the sudden change in Hazina, whirling so quickly that she nearly dropped the bundle of cloth. Facing the woman, she blinked a few times in confusion at her stance. Why was she covering her face? Her mouth fell open in a fish-like gape before at last she found words, "A plague-what? Plague? For Lord's sake, love, what are y'talkin' about?" She resettled the cloth wrapped posssesions in her hand as she stared at the dark-skinned, red-haired girl.
It took a moment for her to realise that Hazina was talking about her, and that she was shielding herself from any plague that Amee might be carrying. Shaking her head, she laughed suddenly - a bright, cheerful giggle at the idea, arrogant as it was, that she could carry a plague after being so carefully honed by a military program invested in her success as a weapon - before attempting to reassure her friend, "No! No, Hazina, I swear t'you, I don't carry any plague. Plague... plague is not common in my time. I can't... I don't carry it. I promise."

___The Masai girl looked at the other girl reproachfully. Several people didn't know they had it and still they died from its causes. She wondered if she should sneak some leeches into the girl's bed, tales from London said that was a common use for the cure. Though, she wasn't sure if Amee would really appreciate the act. ___"Not carry, Black Death ..." Hazina shuttered her eyes back and forth between the girl and the parcel she'd been frantically rummaging through. She weighed the girl's reply, and then swiftly dug her hand into the mess of cloth and items one more time. Pulling out her sought-after prize, she held out the amulet at arm's length. "A-seríán." Hazina sternly thrust the gift out, insisting that she take it with the forceful offering. "Safeguard, a-kás. For safe, in case."

Leeches likely would've just confused the girl as she'd never seen nor heard of the little blood-suckers in her life (specifically the short period of life she could recall). She blew a short puff of air between her lips in frustration at the confusion, knowing that Hazina didn't completely believe her. How could she explain to someone who didn't speak English fluently exactly why she couldn't carry plague? Waving her hands in a characteristic exasperated gesture in an attempt to explain herself, she gave a soft smile despite herself, "I got injections; vaccinations. Military keeps their people shot up pretty good. No plague, no pox." She shrugged, but suspected that would do little good as explanation.
Frowning a bit, she took the offered amulet with some reluctance before looking it over in her palm. "Safeguard. Aye, alright, mate. Consider it kept."

___Hazina furrowed her eyebrows. She had no idea what vaccination was. Injection, didn't that mean that something was being forced into something else? This woman had been injected with something. This could be serious. The Nubian girl dropped the amulet into the girl's hand and began to ponder what she'd said. Forced something in. A piercing? Or perhaps ... Hazina opened her eyes wide, before squinting with speculation. Was the girl pregnant? Is that what made her immune to the Black Plague? Babies! No, no that didn't make sense. The Death didn't spare anyone. Whatever the girl was talking about, Hazina was confident that her little trinket would aid in some way. Confidently she laid her hand upon the girl's shoulder and smiled.
___"You are smart. I will not put the blood-demons in your bedding. I trust." Hazina patted the girl on the shoulder and nodded her head forward. "Others, good like you?" Before the girl answered she quickly added, "Put on." and motioned for Amee to either pocket or wear the charm. It wouldn't work if not applied to the person in some way.

Oh! The idea of Aemilia being pregnant might've given her cause to faint! Her eyes widened as Hazina lay her hand on her shoulder, wondering if that was a sign that the woman was dismissing the idea of plague. "No blood-demons? I'm glad." Her lips curled in a slow, steady smile, but that suspiscion was put to rest as the insistence that she put on the amulet was voiced. With a shrug, she slid the jewel over her head before rearranging her curls over the chain.
"Good like me?" She echoed, "I wouldn't know, haven't really met too many people." At last they reached the trailer that she recognized as Aiden's judging by the decor and other various signs on the outside. "Here's the ringmaster's trailer. I hope." The smile returned, glancing about as if expecting Aiden to come around a corner at any given time.

___Hazina made a short bow with her head, appreciating the help given. The trailer looked odd, indeed. She touched the wood apprehensively. What kind of a sheik or chief resided in here? Perhaps he had many concubines within, if he was involved with them Hazina might very well have her head taken off or be commandeered into yet another. She snorted with disdain, at the same time trying to pass off her fears as disgust. The Masai believed in polygamy, but it was for a reason much different from the sexual appetites of the men she'd resided with over the past years. Though it was part of her heritage, she resented it for a reason other than what the Westerners saw as affairs or heathenism. Concubines resulted in jealousy, especially for the men of high-standing. Fighting to have the first son, or various plots of murder for self-gain. To have to fight with your sacred body so your child could have a better life? The hold men have on women could be so disgusting sometimes.
___She looked at Aemilia and motioned her head towards the trailer. Should she knock or just enter? Was he coming anytime soon? Hazina opened her mouth to repeat what she was thinking, but it came out as, "He is ...?"

Aemilia had no idea what a concubine was, though it could be easily explained should the situation arise. Her brow arched as she watched Hazina contemplate her options. The sudden snort caused Amee to start slightly, laying a relaxed hand on one hip as she considered the woman in front of her. She was certainly strange, and the language barrier was an uncommon shock, but she seemed nice enough. Amelia was glad to have met her, most assuredly, because it made her feel like she knew a bit more then she actually did. Helping people usually made her feel that way, when she was so often the one being helped.
When Hazina turned to her in question, her bright eyes darted between the woman and the trailer before she caught on to the general idea of what was being asked. "Oh! Just, uhm, knock I guess. He's nice, he shouldn't be too mean to you."

___She reached out, clasping Aemilia's forearm and shaking it ceremoniously. Sternly she nodded, before offering forward a hesitant smile. It was without a doubt that she was indeed nervous, and at the foot of this person's doorstep, she was having second thoughts. Hazina did not want to suffer rejection, and if she was to upset these people, being thrown out did not bode a good option.
___Still grasping Aemilia, she lifted her metallic arm and rapped firmly, listening to the clank combine with the dull wooden thud. The door was old, but she was sure the sound would transfer throughout the trailer. This person would come to greet her soon. Remembering she still had hold, she let go of her new friend. "Olesérè, Aye-mila!" Hazina flushed when she realized she'd stumbled over the girl's name again, and after being so proud in sounding it out! She sighed, and waved her mistake away and gave a more relaxed, and embarrassed smile. "I will learn." She promised sheepishly.

Her mix-matched eyes widened briefly when her arm was suddenly grasped by the new woman. Once she realised what was happening, her expression calmed and she smiled as it was shaken so sternly. The hesitant smile spoke volumes to the girl and her own expression took note of Hazina's nervousness. The smile softened and the eyes were somewhat earnest in her reassurance. "S'alright. Promise he's not so bad. Rather nice!"
When the woman didn't let go of her, Aemilia's brow arched as her eyes darted towards the door. Not that she would mind seeing Aiden, it was just that she had things to do. When at last Hazina noticed the girl was still held in place, Amee smiled and shrugged, "Just call me Amee if it's easier. It was a pleasure t'meet you, Hazina, but I've got t'be off. Cages to clean. Good luck!" With that, the girl dipped her head briefly before turning to return to her business elsewhere, shaking her head in wonder as she realised she wasn't the only one who knew little about this place.
