Iyemina sat, puzzled. Though she had listened to everything Relíque had told her, her mind was set on only one thing. Err, one person.
She had so many chances to catch up with Tristan again, yet when she got close, Iyemina would suddenly change her mind. It felt as if destiny was keeping them apart. Had Tristan, the brother so like and unlike her, done something terribly wrong? Probably. He had hurt her.
She sighed, slouching down a bit. Mina began to mess with her fingernails. "Ennui seems to be the oldest of us, but I do not think he is. I find him...intriguing."

"You are right to think that," the silver Sorrow began, letting out an actual silver laugh, "Ennui is definitely not the oldest, and that I know for a fact because I don't believe anyone came before myself, but yes...He is indeed...intriguing, as you put it." By the end of her last words the traces of a chuckle of laughter were gone from her voice and pale face.
She fell silent for a moment, facing forwards as if able to stare into the distance before the fiddling of her companion changed her attention. "Would you like to go inside?" She asked suddenly while she pushed her own self off the bench.

So...Relíque was the oldest. Iyemina raised her eyebrows, staring at the ground. Boy, did she have questions to ask....in time. Her voice changed when she talked on Ennui. Mina wondered why.
"Yes, I will go with you. Thank you for inviting me." Iyemina's voice was no longer warm as it usually was. It was cold...but it was only because of the thoughts in her mind.

A small "mmhmm" was given as the Sorrow collected her instrument and closed its case with a soft 'click.' She then turned back to Mina and motioned with a side nod towards the dilapitated house directly across the way. "This way."
The house was an old three level thing with white panelled walls whose paint had been yellowed and browned by the sun and had peeled off so completely in certain places that the rotten wood could easily be seen. As Relique led her guest closer, it could be noticed that every window on the first and second floors were either broken or cracked, and when the Sorrow reached for the door, the rotten wood swung open on only one hinge.
"Careful," Relique warned as she stepped in first. A musty odor sat unmoving in the large entry way where leaves and dirt seemed to make up more of the ground then the original wooden flooring.

Iyemina stood, following behind the "silver sorrow." The way she walked was gracefully, almost as if she was floating...or like smoke in the air.
The house was old, run down, dirty, and dangerous. Iyemina hoped not to fall through, and heeded Relíque's warning. She wondered what this place was.
"So...where are we?"

"Home," she stated simply and then moved through the entry and into a larger room. It was just as dirty as the area they were in previously, but unlike the entry way, this room was much darker and more...musty smelling.
"I live on the third floor, so if you continue to follow me please." Relíque requested; her voice had become softer and more cooing-like rather then its usual chiming. She then went on into the dark, heading for a staircase neither of them could see but was obviously there since a few seconds later Relique's footsteps changed from a crunching dirt sound to that of being on something more solid.
"Make sure you stay near the wall..."

Dirt was never Iyemina's favorite thing, but she became used to it after Tristan had left. Now, it seemed like the "home" of Relíque was so much cleaner than the first place she had found, before leaving the next day.
Again, Iyemina took Relíque's word of advice, staying close to the wall. She wondered how the silver one could see, then thought perhaps Relíque had lived here for years. Suddenly, Iyemina found that they were at the top of the stairs, looking into more darkness.
"So...been here long?" Mina asked, wanting to find a candle or light of sorts.
....Or just use her finger.

"One or two years," Relique replied as she took hold of the doorknob directly in front of her. "I've stopped paying attention to the years a century ago." With that said she pushed the old door open.
Flicking on the lights, the pair was greeted by a narrow hallway where three to four doors branched off from the sides, and unlike the other two lower floors, this floor already showed that it was literally two points away from being pristine.
The floors were polished oak and partially hidden under a long runner-rug of dark maroon, cream, gold, and dusty rose. The walls were half polished oak slats and cream paint that glowed gold from the old fashioned light fixtures next to each door. The air smelled sweet and fresh and not musty or molding.
The silver Sorrow stepped off to the side to allow Mina entrance before she closed the door, which turned out to be polished and stained on one side. She then proceeded to walk down to the end of the hall, her aim targeted on the last door to the left.
"This way."

Never before had Iyemina seen something like this before. She thought it was a miracle that this building was still standing, let alone a floor like this still existing. Unless Relíque had done these touch-ups herself, imagine what the rest od the building looked like at one time. She put a hand to the wall, running it along. No dust. Mina was dumbfounded.
She continued to follow Relíque, wondering if- "Did you clean this place up yourself?" Iyemina said, thoughts pouring from her mouth as she thought them. "I am shocked that this floor is even still here. I would not have thought the pillars would hold it up." She continued to follow, until they came to that last door to the left. Iyemina opened it, and it was still mostly dark inside. She could tell it was a room, however.
"Guess you can't judge a book by its cover."

Relíqu gave a small laugh as she flicked on the lights in the room. "That's good, since that's what I was going for; I don't want others to know I'm here." On clicking heels she moved into the bedroom.
The floors were stained dark, but glossed to a fine finish and unadorned by rugs of anykind. The walls painted cream, panelled with dark wood mouldings at the top and bottom, and were also unadorned save for the fireplace and twin tall windows. Placed throughout the room were victorian-looking half couches and chairs, along with a few pedistools, stained end tables, and a small desser - all fabric cream colored and all wood stained in the same dark hue. Along the right wall was a large twin fourposted bed, it's frame and skeleton canopy wrought iron and twisted into unique and brilliant designs.
"And yes, I did clean everything up," she added with a small coy smile as she went in further and sat her violin case next to two other intrument cases as the foot of the bed.
"Sit down any where. Would you like anything?"

Never had Mina meet someone so mysterious, so cunning, so...clean before. The house mirrored what seemed to be perfection to it's "cleaner". Looking around, she wondered if this was the only room worth staying in.
"Thank you for the offer, but I do not need anything." Iyemina gave Relíque a thin smile, sitting on a chair in front of a vanity. She turned, looking into the mirror, and released a heavy sigh. Turning to Relíque, she frowned. "I do not usually like looking in the mirror. It reminds me of days from my youth when I would lay by the river, staring at the fish. Really, I was looking at my reflection, wondering if I was good enough for the local boys."
Looking around the room, her thoughts from before poured from her mouth. "Is this the only room up here in this condition?"

Relíque had just as soon nodded to Mina's reply before she tossed her head back slightly and let out a chiminf laugh, disregarding any sorrow or sadness the other may have held in her words. "Such a young girl," she chuckled and sat down on the half-couch.
"No, the whole floor's been cleaned. There are four rooms in all."

At first, Iyemina wondered how Relíque could do all this cleaning and redecorating herself, then remembered how old she could be...and that she was like her.
Running her fingers along the back of her chair, she continued her story. "For the first decade of my life, I thought our parents died. Tristan was not even old enough to take care of himself at the time. So I thought, anyway. For ten years, I loved humans like I was one. When I finally learned, many turned on me and my brother. Then I also learned my brother was not my brother of true flesh and blood."

The Sorrow let her laughter die and a placid look overcame her porcelain features. "You mean you were not as you are now when you were created?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly as she steepled her hands in her lap.
She had never heard of that before. parents? She had never had parents.

Mina shook her head. "I thought I had parents. I thought I was human. Then I learned I was not...that I had no parents. That we sorrows only have a creator..." Iyemina pulled a strand of hair behind her ear, then quietly cleared her throat.
"When Tristan finally found proof we were...different...a human girl heard and told the others. She told them we had gifts...special gifts. The humans took us as a threat. However, the last person I ever saw Tristan with was a human girl. So I guess he never felt betrayed." A hurt, disturbed look came over the dark haired sorrow's face, turning it a bit red. "I left, and respected those humans who would talk to me or respect me for who they did not know I was. I am only neutral to them only because most do not know of us."
