Linkg ApocalypseV Linkg as for the whole psychic thing, I can tell if people are nice or not, without talking to them, or even watching thier actions, just seeing them once, and bam I can tell you if they are a good person or not, like little kids, I have never been wrong yet, but I still only listen to it if it tells me they are really bad news. Yea that was the start for my psychic abilities. I could tell emotions, a persons thoughts sometimes, and their intentions good bad or neutral. it really freaked ppl out because i would walk up to them and talk to them abou issues that nobody knew about I just sense if someone is good or bad, I've been able to since I was a child, so I don't think anything else is comming. it could if you worked with it and acknowledged when it happens and when your accurate about your perceptions but the way it sounds in here nobody wants any abilities lol

as for any addiction,well I know its possible to get over it if you try REALLY hard... and yeah your going to screw up, and it might even be the worst thing in your addiction you ever did, and you feel like crap and like you can't do it, but you can.
And like I said, if it isn't an angle of the holy spirit then it's not from God.... Do you think the devil really looks scairy? I was describing how i saw sainten in a vision I had once...If you want me to tell it to you I will, just ask.... but really, he wasn't scairy AT ALL!! damn,.... the devil is probobly the sexiest man I have ever seen in my life! But really, he is going to apper to you as something good.
And although Quigi (that's spelled right, isn't it?) boards and Terrot cards are fun, and they seem good and everything, that doesn't mean its not right. Although something doesn't hurt you, it doesn't mean its not bad for you.

ApocalypseV Viviane_neechan Ireland_Gunner You say magic. There is nothing in the bible that even mentions magic as being good; its evil. The "natural forces of earth" are all of God. You mess with "magic" and sorcery and that "spirit of earth" jive, you'll find yourself messing in the devil's playground, and he doesn't play nice.

and to ApocalypseV-san: I can understand why you would think that, but God tells us to guard our hearts and minds, and it's a VERY slippery slope. Problems with "magic", "telekenesis (sp?)", and even things like Quija boards and horoscopes, are two basic ones:
In using these things, you're either
a) Trying to take power into your own hands, and relying on yourself instead of God, or
b) Using things to tell the future that are away from God. He wants you to rely solely on HIM.
Again, your logic makes sense to me, but I'm pretty darn skeptical as to whether it's valid...Also, siding with some other people, I've also read in the Bible where God condemns magic. (I SO wish I could remember where...)I understand that and i havent done any of those things other than attempt rofl to do telekinesis recently i am trying to stop doing them but once you have done it, it is kinda like an addiction but more like you become a skeptic of what you thought you did then you want to see if you were goin nutters or you really did those things lol. Its hard to stop but truthfully useing the Quija board actually strengthened my beliefs in God. I was loseing my faith in God and didnt believe any form of spiritualism was real, but then i used the Quija board a few times and realised that there are spirits and if there is good spirits then there must be God and since i know there are evil spirits there must be a Devil! Thankyou Viviane_neechan for being understanding with your advice biggrin because i have been getting tons of people making me upset with advice like "No well yo should do this and anything else is wrong and that is bad....." so lol thankyou for putting it lightly biggrin

Well, I think that if it's something that you didn't train yourself to do then it's probably okay. I can tell emotions and if someone's good or bad and if something bad is going to happen. I didn't train myself to do that, but I still usually ignore when I get a bad feeling. Though it's always turned out to be true, if I have a bad feeling about a certain day or time then something bad happens on that certain day or time.
I believe in spirits. I've felt them, though that sounds insane. I could kinda sense that they were there and if they were harmful or not. Pretty much all that I've come in contact with have been good or neutral, though for the most part I try to ignore that they're there.
I really don't think that horoscopes or terrot cards or palm readings are really that bad unless you believe in them so much that they get in the way of your relationship with God. I generally look at my horoscope or go to a person to have my fortune read for fun. I don't really believe that stars or the palm of my hand can tell my future.
Ouiji boards...well they're just creepy.

It is true as many as you have said, that literal magic, witchcraft and the like, are evil and forbiden. However I do believe many people are gifted from God and are naturaly 'in tune' with things. Hypersensitive, if you will. (not to mention miracles, but that's a bit self-explanitory.) Some people call this 'psychic' power, and I often use this term myself, since I am in the christian psychic guild. sweatdrop God has given us instincts. About people, situations, whatever gets thrown at us. Sometimes it's just getting a 'bad vibe' and others of us can actually feel other people's emotions. (empathy. It's a spiritual gift. Look it up.) So, I agree with morsusmihi; as long as it is truly natural to you, it is a gift. But seeking power will only lead to your own spiritual death.

People in the bible could heal other people and cast out devils,and those gifts were given from GOD.Not all type of magic are evil,just the ones that are used to kill or hurt someone.White magic isn't evil,its meant to protect and heal people.

This is the second death." Note that in this verse, God does not differentiate between white and black magic, but looks at the magic as a whole.

Well, I believe that magic, good and bad, exists in this world. I also believe in all powers of the mind. As for myself, I'm an empath and a magic-user/enthusiast. I believe that it has actually drawn me closer to God because I've always felt this weird connection with nature and when I'm surrounded by nature I can actually hear God answering my prayers. I know it probably sounds a little weird but when I'm at church I can't hear anything. Just last week I was at a church camp and during worship when Andy, the pastor, had us all pray and ask God to show us where in our lives we were falling away from him and I didn't hear anything. I didn't hear anything until I went off into the woods by myself.
Recently I read this book about Celtic magic, I thought it was very interesting. But as I read more and more I realized that a lot of that stuff I already do and I felt myself grow closer to God.
Ever since I was little magic of all types has always fascinated me; Egyptian, Celtic, Norse, Native American, and oriental. Now I don't do spells in the normal sense because I believe my prayers are a sort of spell that asks God to help me. But I do, however, believe in all of the fey people of this world. They've actually been some of the best friends I've had. Well, they can't beat linkg but they are very close.
I apologize for the length of my post. I just hope I've opened up a few more topics for discussion.
