((Starwarsmania, you have clearly not reviewed the rules of this guild. Once you have acquainted yourself with them, follow them, and figure out what needs to be done to join this role play. Your post will be deleted, and I highly suggest you read the Anti-Munch project.))
Calliope's red eyes flashed. "The differences, Child, lie in our interpretation of the Force," she answered simply. "It is a thing best experienced, not told." She gestured for Kari to follow, and the Dark Lady swept through the hallway, feeling almost as if she were a tour guide in the older city blocks of Coruscant.
She led Kari through the largest and most grand hallways of the Academy, all the while pointing out architecture, carvings, statues, tomb entrances, historic blood stains, and rooms apprentices were forbidden to enter. Calliope clearly knew what she was talking about, as she ran through the greatest Sith victories and some of the most humiliating Sith defeats. She stopped as the two reached the training hall, where a pair of young people were crossing blood-red sabers.
"Witness, Girl, what the Force allows us to do," she commanded softly.
The two opponents clashed time after time again, each swinging his or her lightsaber with skill and deftness. It was like watching a dance, Vera always thought-- like one of the magnificent operas. The combined sounds of the room were leaking with power-- even the unstable grunts of the duelees seemed to be Force-inspired. Lightning crackled between a girl's fingers, which she shot at her male opponent. He blocked most of it with his lightsaber, howled in pain, and charged forward with a fury.
It was a beautiful sight to watch.
"The Force-- this "Dark Side" of the Force-- it bestows upon us a certain power. A life. While the Jedi Order seeks to become slaves to the will of the Force, this clan coincides with it. We are masters of it, and we are better because of it." Even her softly spoken words held great power, as if even her vocal tones wished to draw Kari into the conversation.
Valentin, in the meanwhile, was unimpressed. He arched a dark eyebrow at the boy, a calm irritation written on his features. This boy was new, was an intruder into his mistress's planet, and had clearly been in Valentin's way. He somehow repressed the urge to kick the boy with Force Lightning, but an indea sprang into his ever-churning mind.
He knew his Darth was looking to recruit, and if the bests of Korriban hadn't managed to kill this one, he might be Force-sensitive. He took a step forward (his gait was proud and intimidating), a move to corner the boy against the Temple wall. "Hold still, Vermin." He reached out with the Force, tearing his way into the boy's mind, where he felt the extremely familiar glow of the Force.
He tore ripped himself out, using none of the gentleness Calliope seemed to put into her sensory. Though this exact technique wasn't exactly needed (this one nearly glowed with Force energy), Valentin found himself quite fond of it, as more often than not, it caused the victim to squeal like a mynock.
"I'll forgive your actions, Boy, if you'd but follow me into the Temple. I believe my Lady would want to see the bumbling likes of you." He raised his black-clad arm for Tobias to follow, though his tone held no room for argument.
This would surely cause Vera to cast her favor upon him, Valentin thought darkly.

Tobias was still recovering from the splitting headache when his mind had been entered. Of course, he didn't know that's exactly what happened. Although, as soon as it happened, he felt a connection. Not so much as a unity, but a familiarity. He was overcome with the presence of a higher strength and power. When his mind had been released, he let out a small yelp as he felt a sort of numbing shock back into reality.
"I'll forgive your actions, Boy, if you'd but follow me into the Temple. I believe my Lady would want to see the bumbling likes of you." the man said, and Tobias felt there was no room to argue. After all, had he not come here to seek answers and learn in the first place? So, without having to be told twice (not that he would have been) Tobias followed the man deeper into the temple.

Kari began to fallow the kind woman, without question or hesitation. Kari pulled back some of her oddly white, silver hair behind her ear while taking in ever word she was told. Her arms cross the front of her body, almost as a need to hold onto something.
As they walked the rooms became larger, she found it amazing that a place like this would be on a planet like this. It all seemed old and mysterious, and yet seemed to draw her into this new world. The more she spoke Kari began to wonder who this women was, however being that she was the kindest peron she had met in years Kari quickly whiped the thought from her mind.
They finaly entered a hall with two young people, who Kari guessed must have been students. They seemed to be fighting with strange beams of red light, Kari had never seen anything like it. Kari watch as the practice duel went on. She found it scary, but at the same time fun. It reminded her of the games she would play, trying to guess someone next move or what they would do. The whole match was a balance of defence and attack like a game of tag, only much more complicated. The sound of the boy in pain seemed to bring back a bad memory; Kari quickly blocked it out, not wanting to remember any part of her passed for the rest of her life.
The womens words seemed to cause only more questions to arise within her. Kari still did not understand what she ment by "the force" and how did jedi, or dark jedi use it to become stronge?
Jedi.... Kari paused for a moment remembering that these were "dark" jedi. Umm, Dark Jedi use the force to make them stronge? Kari, wanting to know more asked another question before her first question could even be answered. Can "The Force" m... make anyone stronge? Kari trying very hard to control the herself, not wanting to look bad infont of this women.

As Tobias continued to follow the mysterious man inside the Temple, he began to look around. Parts of the wall were smooth, while other parts were made of rock, as though it were the wall of a cave. Some parts had symbols carved into the wall, but Tobias did not recognize any of the ancient text. But what he did know is that with every step that he took deeper into the Temple, he felt as though the force that he had felt pulling him towards the Temple in the first place was much stronger here. He could feel it all: echos of the past, the overwhelming presence of those far stronger than he, and above all else, a strong sense of power. Tobias could not tell the difference from one to the other, not even that of an anger inside of him that he had yet to discover himself...

((Oof. Sorry for the wait; no excuses here. ;-; ))
Calliope laughed: an odd sound coming from her mouth. She did not laugh often, and it sounded as if she were a bird of prey swooping to capture some unarmed, frightened rodent. "The Force, my dear girl, only makes strong those who can properly harness its potential." How many non-Force users had fallen by Calliope's blade? How many had felt but a fraction of her Force abilities, had been removed from this plane by her Force Choke? And even more were the numbers of improperly-trained Jedi-- light and dark alike. "It is a powerful tool," she added almost as an afterthought.
"Tell me, girl: what is your name?" It was the same tone that might be used by a child trying to coax a cute animal from under a tree, or a parent might use to learn about another's child. Only, Calliope somehow managed to seem both intimidating and harmlessly curious as she spoke.
Of course, the Dark Lady would discover Kari's name in the end, but she found that it made for better public relations to ask nicely before resorting to Force intimidation techniques.
She was a master of Force intimidation techniques. They were, possibly, her favorite of the lot.
Valentin, meanwhile, was both appreciative and appalled by the boy's willingness to follow. He couldn't help but be amused by his silent curiosity, and wondered if the boy would trip over something, with his eyes so plastered to the walls.
His walk was not a long one: Calliope and Kari were practically in an adjacent part of the Temple. He waited silently behind the door, nodding his greeting to a pair of Knights who strode out of the room and past him, each dripping in sweat, lightsaber burns, and other assorted injuries.
"We will wait for the Lady to summon us."

Kari's eyes drifted the women to the students and back again. She was unsure what this "Force" was but if she had any chance of learning to be stronge she left it had to be here, with these people.
Kari Railyn, Kari answered; not stuttering once. Kari wanted to show that she has the potential to no longer be weak, no longer be scared, and to finaly be someone.

The man Tobias was following came to a stop at the door at the end of the hall. A man and woman walked out into the hall, their clothes covered in sweat and what appeared to be scorch marks. The male, who seemed to be worse than his companion, pushed past Tobias with a grunt, while the female just looked at him in a sort of dark way. It wasn't so much disgust, but as if she didn't know what to make of the boy. But all the same, she turned back and continued to go about her way. Tobias had kept his mouth shut when the man bumped into him. Even though he was injured, Tobias was sure that he could have just as easily turned on him. Tobias instead kept silent as did the man he was following. Together they stood out in the hall, waiting to be summoned.

"I sense the Force within you, Miss Railyn," Calliope hissed. "You must already sense it. Do you wish to harness this power of yours?" The Dark Lady moved in a half-circle around Kari. She was now a predator, and this naive young girl: her prey.
Kari was weak, that much was certain, but grueling work (and a good deal of pain) would certainly fix it. She needed to cultivate anger within the girl... but first, she needed Kari to commit herself to the training. It would be a pity to kill another this fine day.
Her eyes flickered to the door, where her knight Valentin stood. He looked patient and grim, his ambitious eyes locked on the Lady. He was one of her best knights, who obeyed her word and respected her power. Kari would do well to learn from his example. Kari needed someone like Valentin, who played to his strengths to create a confident, occasionally overbearing character.
As if he sensed her thoughts, Valentin's eyes rested on Kari. They softened momentarily; he knew all too well the manipulation and intoxicating tug of the Sith standing before the three of them. Calliope was indeed a strong figure, her angry red eyes offset by her placid blue skin, her black hair... even her simple gait seemed to be infused with the Dark Side. No matter how kind she was, there was no covering her sinister aura. Even Valentin, who had been with the Lady since his induction so many years ago, could not help but quiver under her wrath.
Valentin grinned. He would succeed Calliope, that much was certain.
Calliope's aforementioned scarlet gaze, in the meantime, rested on Kari. The red depths made silent promises of power and charisma. They held wisdom, patience, a dark magnetism that wasn't found anywhere else in the galaxy. On this rough planet of Korriban, Calliope was a goddess.

It was true, Kari did feel something about this place; something that was far more then her normaly 5 senses. Kari thoughts quickly overviewed everything she had seen since she arrived. Everyone here seemed to be so strong, however the memory of the duel between the students; and the pain felt had already burned it's way into her mind.
Kari's own fear from her past occupied most her throughts; the fear of her own death or unable to protect herself is what had made her come all this way. Since Kari had arrived nothing seen or could see would make her change her mind, though they were not what she thought they would be they were the only chance she had.
Kari took no more then a few seconds to respond. P...Please, I will d...do anything to be stronger. Kari said, in almost a pleading way. Kari's eyes drift from the women to the floor, and spoke is a slightly more depressed and quiet voice. I don't want to be scared and weak anymore.

The sound of landing pads, hissed across the area. Jaden Kree, a long time believer of the Dark Side had finally arrived on Korriban. When the hatchet bay doors opened, Jaden made his leave of the ship, taking his first steps on the evil planet. Jaden took a deep breathe, and continued on to the barren land of Korriban, making his way towards the Sith Temple. After about an hour of walking Jaden had come aross the temple. He looked up to the massive mountian like structure, then down the dark corridoor that was the entrance. Jaden made his way down the hall, shortly coming apon the small entrance infront of him, which would lead him to his destiny. Jaden entered the temple, and stopped to look around, examining his surroundings.
Jaden stood where he was, he figured someone would sence him, and try to figure out who it was. Jaden just continue to scann his surroundings, with his peircing green eyes.

Calliope's face twisted into a smile. "Then please, girl, follow my Knight to your quarters and prepare yourself for a rigorous initiation." She gestured to a young man standing in the shadows of the room. He made a sweeping bow, then gestured for Kari to follow him.
He didn't speak much as he led her through the winding passages. The sound of two pairs of boots on the cold stone floor was deafening in the silence, but the knight seemed completely comfortable with it. A glowpanel flickered momentarily, casting long shadows across the hallway. When he came to the student quarters, he stopped, opened the door, and turned to face Kari for the first time.
"You have free range to wander and train within this facility. All doors that are not locked are open, and maps are available in any of the terminals. I suggest a good night's sleep and mental preparation before your initiation." His gaze was dark and piercing. He knew what he was talking about. Without another word, he spun on his heel and walked away in the otehr direction.
Calliope turned to Valentin. "Come," she commanded, her voice venomous in its command. Valentin ushered Tobias into the room and bowed in much the same manner as the knight before. Calliope nodded to him, and he stood. Her gleaming red eyes rested on Tobias, then: "Who is this?"
For a simple question, her tonality made even the smallest request sound like a death threat. Valentin bobbed his head quickly. "An intruder, My Lady. He was found in the shallow parts parts of the Temple." His gaze swept over the other young man. "He is strong in the Force."
Calliope didn't make any notion she heard Valentin speak. "An intruder in my Temple?" She made several advancing steps twoards him, her looming aura adding to her intimidating presence. Her crimson eyes caught his, and narrowed.
As if she didn't believe Valentin, she reached out with the Force in the same way she did Kari, and Valentin did to Tobias before. Her movements were much more refined and practiced, and as she snaked out with the Force, she recognized the familiar humming of the Force. She withdrew and studied him for a moment.
"Do you wish to become a soldier of the Force, Boy?" His answer didn't matter much to the Dark Lord of the Sith. If he said yes, the training just might kill him, and if he said no, she would kill him immediately.
She glanced to Valenin. "Give him a room. Initiate him on the morrow." She didn't give Tobias a chance to answer as she marched out of the room and towards her meditation chamber.

Kari's mind had began to wonder thinking about days passed and who she was, and who she dreamed of being. With the words spoken by the women Kari quickly snapped back to reality with a small jump. As the young man bowed Kari wondered if thats what people do here, bu not waning to be left behind she quickly started to fallow the young man.
Kari only got a few steps before she turned back, bowing as the young man had; believing that must be what people here do. "Thank you", she said working hard not to stutter while saying it.
Kari fallowed the young man through the temple, it was clear he knew where he was goin. When they stopped and a door was opened to a room kari walked into quickly to look around. Kari kept her eyes on the man as he spoke, when he turned to leave kari stuck her head out of the room to watch him leave. After a he was no longer in view, kari shut the door and went to sit on the bed that was in the room.
Kari thought she may have gotten herself in a little too deep, but even though there was an strange almost creepy feeling about this place; the women had been so kind, even if it was in an almost scary way. Kari lay on the bed just letting her mind wonder, to try to understand what would happen now. It wasn't long before to pass out onto of the bed wondering what tomarrow would bring.

Tobias had not been given any room to speak as the woman before him spoke without waiting for response. Her authority seemed to outrank even that of Valentin. He felt a sudden rush of energy and power run through him as she felt her way through him. Even her being suggested that she was far more powerful and was not one to be dealt with lightly. But it was far different than when Valentin had forced his way through him. With Calliope, it was more of a ease and hypnotic like method, and Tobias felt himself become more calm, but at the same time, not much less nervous. As Tobias snapped out of his dream-like state, Calliope asked "Do you wish to become a soldier of the Force, Boy?" It took Tobias a minute to registar what she had asked of him, as he was still coming down from the high of Calliope's power. It didn't matter, since she didn't give him room for an answer anyways, before giving Valentin orders to give him a room and proceeded to leave the chamber.
Valentin continued to lead him down a hallway to a room, where the girl that had stood with Calliope before, was standing in the hallway at a door adjascent from his own room. Before Tobias could even get another good look at her, she walked into her own romm and the door shut behind her. Valentin pushed Tobias into his own room, saying nothing more than "Sleep." before walking away.
Tobias stood alone in his new room, which was dark, cold, and barren, save for small bed. Before heading to bed, he pulled out a small pad to inform D4 to find another place to sit and wait, and he found that his signal was not where he had left him, but already inside another part of the Temple, which Tobias would later find out was the hangar where ships were kept. Someone had already moved his ship and D4, as if knowing that he would stay. Tobias thought it strange, but felt he was too tired to give it more thought. He lay down in his bed, and fell asleep without another thpught about tomarrow or what lay ahead.

Jaden's narrow green eyes, looked up after hearing the echoes of voices down the templar halls. He looked up with his torn, and worn out cloths. He took a few steps in, hesitent, but he did'nt care, he had to see what was ahead of him. He made his way down the old halls.

"make sure you look after the bar ok!" said Itovaa "and dont let anyone push you around its yours till i get back. My blaster is still behind the bar just dont make a mess on the floor"
Turning he headed for the ramp putting on his goggles and straping a re-breather on he looked down the ramp to the planets surface. He was glad he came prepared though he looked like a fool he knew he could atleast breath the air without getting a mouthful of dust. Turning his head back to his pilot he shouted "I'LL CONTACT YOU ASOON AS I CAN AND DONT COME BACK HERE EVER! YOU BE SAFE YOU HEAR! CYA FOR NOW NINA." And with that he walked down onto the planet before he could here her reply. Pulling his cloak around him he turned on the spot to see his YT1200 take flight kicking a torrent of dust into the air making him even more glad of his preperations.
Turning back to the structure he noticed when they flew over head he suddenly felt a strange kind of cold warmth. He couldnt explain it for he had never felt anything like it in his life and thats with all his adventures. as he started to walk towards the whatever it was he couldnt help but notice that there was nothing alive here. the wind and the dust felt like it could be living but the lacking plants and animal life completely through him off guard he was sure there must be somthing living here anything.
As he got closer to what he could best describe as a mountin the cold warmth was getting stronger as if pulling him closer to this massive structure, Wanting him to step beneath the rock so it could crush him with its weight. But this feeling never stoped him moving forward.
"Holy mother of Dewbacks, this thing is huge" looking upwards he could not even see the peaks, looking back infornt of him he saw he had arrived at the entrance with its doors open just enough for maybe two people side by side to enter. Taking a deep breath he entered to what he could make out to be total darkness penertarted by what seemed to be softly glowing tiles. Taking off his goggles and re-breather he looked back at the doors, Although they were open no dust no wind entered this chamber.
He realized he had arrived but to where he did not know, But dared not move till he was certin.
im moving out tomorrow so ill try to repost asoon as i can but could be a couple of day, also tell me if this is ok was my first ever RP peice that was not the app form
