"Even though you say that you do, your reason why has nothing to do with Aure. It only speaks about your goals and wants.Unless, of course, you two share the same goals and wants." said Keirro. Ahh, Keirro remembered the Aure's speech about making the world white and new. How to bring Aure back was a difficult question to answer. Keirro wasn't quite sure how to deal with it.

Maweh made a face. "Always with the morals, you doctors," she said in a disgusted voice. "It doesn't matter why I want Aure back, as long as she gets back in the end. She feels the same."

Keirro frowned. "It's not about morals. It's about you two being happy together and finding balance. There is an imbalance between the two of you. Any idea why?" Keirro replied. If she could get a glimspe of Aure from this girl, it could be a breakthrough. Keirro saw a few similarities between the two inhabitants, but she wasn't ready to start pushing boundries.

"We're not going to be happy together, because I don't want to be in this body. It's not a case of schizophrenia, believe me. Aure's alternates would be much, much scarier." Maweh leaned across the table, hands flat against the surface. "I've seen the way she thinks. It's not pretty."

"I have treated Aure before. However, how do you propose getting yourself out of that body?" Keirro asked, challenging Maweh.

This was a toughie. "When Aurelius wakes up, I will leave. I have done studies unto this matter. There is a crucial few seconds- five, maybe ten if I'm lucky- where I can choose to remain or choose to leave this body. I will choose to leave." She leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs. "As I have planned to do since our patron told us that Aurelius was useless to him."

"Well, it's a relief to know that you are considering peaceful alternatives." sighed Keirro. She thought for a moment. "Patron?" she asked simply out of curiousity.

Maweh shook her head. "I cannot say. If I do, I risk all." What that all was, and why she couldn't say, would have to remain a mystery to others until Aurelius was back. After all, she didn't have to deal with this world for the rest of her unnatural life, but Aurelius did. Her choice.

Warning signs started to flash in Keirro's mind. There had to be a way to dive into this subject for another day. There wsan't a cult involved. Maweh didn't show the signs of brainwashing. "All right then. Let us try to get back to you and Aure. What will happen to Aure if you leave that body?"

She shrugged. "Aure will resume control of the body and she won't have any recollection of anything I did or said. As far as she would know, life picks up right where it left off." That was from her research as to the creation of Croatoan. She had gotten that far, then died... With a little huff, she turned to the little boy, Ranis, and stared for a moment.

"Wouldn't that create complications?" asked Keirro as she recalled cases of coma patients that reanimated.
Ranis had quietly kept himself amused with his toys while Keirro talked to Maweh. He took notice of the strange girl staring at him and stared back in his typical, unfriendly way.

Maweh shook her head. "No. The people I live with know the... complications... of my existence. They won't let her know, and I don't plan to interact... with anyone but those who live in my house." She shrugged. "So... what's the name of your son?"

"His name is Ranis." said Keirro as she wrote down a few notes in her book. Where to go next? Keirro thought about the possibilities in her mind of the various solutions to this situation, none of them too terribly good.

If she were to say that she didn't think the name a little strange, she would be a hypocrite; after all, the name Aurelius for a girl was a little cumbersome. She decided to just not comment. "He's quite a strange mix of characteristics," she said, from a scientific viewpoint. "A chimaera?"

"Not to my knowledge. He's adopted." said Keirro as she looked over to the infant. Adopted was the best way of putting it. How else could one describe a child born from mist and images?
