I've heard that those books by Scott Westerfield are really good. One of my friends reads them. However, I didn't have time during my senior year to read them. Life sucked then.
However, I do recommend:
Any novel of Pern-Anne McCaffrey The Good Earth-Don't remember the Author Farenheit 451-Ray Bradbury Any novel of Redwall-Brian Jacques
And as of currently, that's all I can think of. However, that's not all I've read.

Read Pendragon. Right now. D:<
It's the only book I shall list, seeing as Bobby Pendragon and his fellow travelers take up 99.9% of my reading time.

Yes I know they are children's books but they are still amazing! The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. I think they are 7 of them but really good! 3nodding

I love this forum. *-*
I would have to recommend the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. The movie The Golden Compass was based off of his books, and they are really... really good.

Ferenheit 451 by Ray Bradburry
I must warn you that it's a book for deep minded people. Most teens don't understand a word the book says. It's a book that will make you think. it's about the man who lives in a society where they burn books, and people have no idea what a real life is about. He, as one of the people who use to burn books, finds out their true importance, and goes though this big break through in his life. Because burning books is like burning mankind.

If you're into teen fiction, Terry Prachett's Tiffany Aching series is pretty good so far - Starts with The Wee Free Men.
