Soultrain I talked to my brother about it, mostly, what the hell a tcc system was. He said it was in the transmission, specifically, the locking torque converter. He had an 88 Olds cutlass cierra that had that happen to it. My dad and him just unplugged the stupid thing and the vibration and stalling went away. He said he lost about 3 MPG though. It was a temporary fix, he's not sure how long it will last like that though. He's thinking that it's new transmission time for your car. gonk P.S. that 88 olds cutlass is probably part of 1000 Hot Wheels by now, if it had good karma. xd yeah, i have to drive to work right now in it, they claimed it was unplugged when the dealer fixed it and then it started breaking down again. I don't have enough for a new transmission, i still need brakes on the thing.

Okay, get this, i got my car checked and apparently there is nothing wrong with my car. All i had was an emission problem which caused my service engine light to turn on and that can be caused by not tightening your gas cap enough. SO i'm kind of doumbfounded

What about the codes? Or did they just forget to clear them?

Soultrain What about the codes? Or did they just forget to clear them? I'm guessing the dealer actually fixed the problem and i'm just a retard. Everyone who has driven my car says it runs fine and when i drive it i always think it's breaking down so i think it's probably just in my mind, but the service engine light turned on for a different reason. So to tell my car sorry i dedicated all of yesterday to cleaning it and washing it.

if you can believe this, my car broke down again, actually, to be more precise, it melted. The alternator partially melted and now i have a car that is stuck in my driveway with only 300 dollars to tow it and fix it. not to mention my cv joint might be bad and my brakes may need work. along with needing to rotate my tires and changing my oil, and still owing a good few grand on it, but i guess everything is nice and peachy. blaugh

Car has hit the 97,000 mile mark, fixed the window months ago and replaced the drivers side mirror that was smashed off, replaced a tie-rod and put a metal patch under my gas cover because of the rust. I sandblasted the area and it blew holes through the metal so i had to metal bond a metal patch in. Welding it would have been too dangerous because of the location. I f'd up on the body filler though and there is a noticeable body line difference now that it is painted but at least the rust is gone. My car's also starting to really rust on the rear doglegs.
